  1. Yes, because currently Safeguards/Mayhems don't give reward merits. If they did, as you are suggesting, people could just farm the missions using the two unlockable contacts that give out safeguards/mayhems (can't remember their names right now). These contacts allow you to run any safeguard/mayhem back to back.
  2. My first 50 on live was an Empathy/Energy "Green Machine". I loved teaming with other GMs, and even had him built to pug pretty well as well. I've not played Empathy as much on HC because I do more soloing. I did just think of a thugs/empathy idea that I may roll since MMs bring their own teams.
  3. I use it globally, if you wanted specifics for specific characters, you'd have to create separate files for each character and then /bindloadfilesilent the correct name. The nice thing about the global is, if you ever make a change to the file it automatically updates for all characters, since they're just loading a file.
  4. What about the contacts that offer safeguard/mayhem missions? Couldn't someone just use them to farm up reward merits really quickly?
  5. But who will be the one to pin down @GM_GooglyMoogly during the feats of strength?
  6. @Hedgefund that makes sense if you think about it. The proc's damage is calculated at the power activation because that's when the proc's chance to hit is calculated. Since every power calculates before it actually hits, it doesn't matter which order the procs are slotted in the power.
  7. Its not a bad idea, and I think similar things have been requested. The only issue I see is really there are only 3 groups of enemies that cover most level ranges, CoT, Arachnos, and Council. Most other enemy groups are only in a small range of levels.
  8. This is what started me doing this. I grabbed a list from @Jacke of targets, but some had to be trimmed down so much to be under the limit that I would get false positives.
  9. It kills your endurance recovery for 15 seconds.
  10. Put them in a salvage rack in your base.
  11. Hi all, This is a little pet project i've been working on. Essentially, it abuses the fact that a bind file can be used for more than just binds. I'm using it to target "high priority" targets, Sappers, Immunes Surgeons, etc. I have the attached file in a folder called Binds in my main HC directory, I specifically put it in this folder so that I can use the same file for Live and Beta servers. once that file is saved, run the following command on each character you want to use it for (you only need to do this once per character). /bind c bindloadfilesilent c:binds\Targets.txt$$bind v targetenemynear Note: The c:binds tells HC's parser to use the root Homecoming directory (assuming the directory is on your c drive) and not your root c drive. if it were C:\binds it would be looking for binds inside your root C directory. So, I then use the "c" button to target closest enemy, or highest priority target if there is one. If the high priorty target happens to be in the next spawn over, I just just "v" to target the nearest enemy instead. If you wish to edit the list, make sure you follow the syntax that's in there, higher priority targets go lower on the list (hence why Cairn is lower than other eminators). Hope this helps some of you, I know it has been a game changer for me. Targets.txt
  12. And with the way status resistance works, 40% status resistance only cuts the duration by about 29%, meaning its still lasting 71% of its standard duration.
  13. The recharge doesn't necessarily mean its the best time to click it, however. For perma-dom I suppose you just want to click whenever it is up, but the devs have shown their willingness to give these kind of "heads ups" for other powers. They just did it for the psi armor regen power. The flashing in the status bar is a pretty sub-par notification, since powers there often bounce around as (de)buffs apply/wear off, making it difficult to keep track of something like Domination that you *really* don't want to wear off.
  14. In normal arcs only the mission holder ever receives merits. I would be against that implementation of Ouro, which is one of the reasons why the TF mode exists (the other being the exemplaring.)
  15. I don't think there's a way to force this to happen, but in a general sense, the power's first tick happens then the process fires. So, powers pike Rain of Arrows will have the first hit tick, the -res will tick, then the remaining damage ticks will hit. There are no damage procs in sleep sets, so you can follow the basic rule for sleep powers that do damage. The way these powers are coded, the sleep has a coded delay in it (I think 1/2 second), so it doesn't happen until after the power does its damage. So the power would damage, the process would fire, then the sleep would take effect.
  16. With the exception of an SR tank, you're not going to get close to soft capped defenses without some serious outside help on any build. First, assuming EA hits 1 target, unslotted it provides ~3.5% defense to all, so that puts your S/L/E/N at ~ 30%. Add in the two +def uniques and you're at 36% Weave at ED cap is another 5.8%, so there's 41.8% right there. Add in Combat Jumping, even unslotted, and you're now at 43.5%. A set of Artillery in Frost will comfortably above 45% for E/N and Superior Brute's Fury provides 5% S/L at 3 slots. Boom, S/L/E/N are soft capped. The others are harder, but winters can provide a lot of F/C defense, so with EA (1 target), Wet Ice, Weave, and Combat Jumping you should have about 11% F/C defense. Since you've got capped cold resist and some fire resist (and slotting winters will get you more), you don't strictly need the 45%. But, a set of the TAoE provides 7.5% to F/C, Melee ST and Melee AoE provide 5% each. You're now at ~29.5% F/C defense, if you really want to, you can slot a Ranged ST or Hold winter to put you up to 34.5%. Since you've now slotted 3-4 winter sets, you've got an additional 18-24% fire resistance. Factor in getting Icy Bastion up a lot and you've got a solid build.
  17. I've got a custom bind file that has high priority targets. It works really well (though, I have to make a few adjustments to it). Once I get it to where I'm happy with it, I'll gladly post it for others to use.
  18. I just did it for the first time yesterday. It took about 48 minutes. I don't know if that's average or on the long side, but if its average, I feel the merit rewards are a little low. It's fun though, even if I died by accidentally falling off the train in the last mission.
  19. They could definitely do a ring when there's say 10 seconds left on it. I'm not certain about the color changing thing, but if its possible, I think its a good idea (don't know why we'd need the ring for the first 80 seconds though)
  20. COD doesn't show exactly how it works, but it looks like there up a chance for up to an additional mag 1.5 confuse https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=boosts.attuned_cupids_crush_f.attuned_cupids_crush_f
  21. In my experience, it should be slotted primarily for healing and recharge to get the regen bonus up as high as possible, after that, a bit of end redux and end mod can go a long way. I wouldn't preemptively use Energize, I'd save it for when your health actually starts to drop. since a burst heal when you need it is better than regen when you don't.
  22. Unless something changed, it does self stack and you can reliably get 2-3 of them. Correction: they can use their first 2 tiers of attacks from their primary and their tier 1 from secondary.
  23. It looks like the "nerf" just puts to-hit where it was when the pets spawned at -2, so its not a nerf, just a way of keeping to-hit the same while buffing every other aspect.
  24. I should point out, you can't be immune to mez. All of the above grant protection, not immunity. I was on a team earlier today with a tank that got perma-mezzed by Malta and died. But to add to your list, Clarion adds mez protection and 1 of the T3s (partial core) lasts the full 2 minute recharge. T4 Core also lasts 2 minutes.
