Who plays on the smallest laptop?Scarlet Shocker replied to Jawbreaker's topic in General Discussion I believe it's possible to play on a Steam Deck - portable, light but not sure how practical it might be. Maybe an old Chromebook with some finagling and titivation? otherwise just ebay and see what you can get. If it runs Windows 8 or later you'll probably find it runs CoH well although not as well as your home built custom desktop rig

Awww you just made my hearts meld

I read the article and it seems pretty viable to me Here's the thing. I don't know what the balance changes were trying to achieve - it's like searching for a problem to fix that doesn't exist. The game has played pretty well and been stable for a long time. Sure there are niggles and imperfections but you get that with everything and it's also a personal perspective. New content is always welcome but the powers changes? I'm not so sure they are necessary and I've yet to see anything that has persuaded me otherwise. Perhaps I'm missing something or perhaps the explanations are lacking. But we are where we are. Devs have decided and we have two choices.

	Can I has your stuffs?

I've never tried Hasten... should I start?Scarlet Shocker replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion Sure. I wasn't contradicting you just making the point we can do many things and all of them are "the right way" to do it

I've never tried Hasten... should I start?Scarlet Shocker replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion That's one of the very best beauties of this game. There are so many different ways to play, to suit everyone, no matter your taste or style. I think it's one reason this game has the love and longevity it does because it can be unique for every player and every player's characters.

I've never tried Hasten... should I start?Scarlet Shocker replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion In my experience, there are very few builds where it does not make a serious difference. Even better it's one power and only one additional slot at level 50, so with two lvl 50 recharge enhancements and 10 enhancement boosters you've got almost perma-hasten for minimal outlay. With a couple of LotG procs and other recharge bonuses it's what allows you to perma some otherwise great but infrequent powers. I find it's at its best when you use it on your characters "signature" power - for example Plant's Carrion Creepers or Illusion's Phantom Army where their normal recharge is very very long in real time but can be seriously reduced to give you a great power and frequent application. I almost always take it - and when I haven't it's because my build is somewhat quirky or there isn't a signature power that I want to use often

Almost hello Almost welcome home You've a lot to catch up on and learn. The game has evolved in the last 1.2 decades - by and large I'm pretty sure you'll find it's much improved. The community is tight, kind and loving. Watch out for @Snarky though... he can suck, in a very literal sense. We have new powers, new missions and even a new AT. The community isn't so bad either. Except for a few folk.. I won't bother naming them, you'll find them all by yourself 🤣

Development was certainly begun on live and it was meant to be a new coop zone - so very likely the Coming Storm. Not so sure about PVP cuz OG Devs had more or less given up on that by sunset.

technically, shouldn't the blood go through you?
-
	a) you're undead. How many corpses do you have? Are you multiplicitous? b) your corpse is surely more than 3 feet tall otherwise you'd be one of the tiniest vampires unalive. Please, use the measurement tool in the costume creator to actually know thyself

Rather like a Chinese egg Being serious for a moment, context is everything. In other places, for example, I've blogged about personal stuff like health issues and it's silly to start a new thread regarding updates even over a period of a few years. Likewise, if it's a relevant response, it seems daft to start a brand new thread covering the same ground when that reply remains germane to the subject in hand. Equally, just going "Yeah this is how I feel" on a discussion that's been shuttered for a couple of years is frankly super annoying. I'm not gonna read back a whole few pages just to learn how you feel. Just bloody say how you feel about what in a new thread and then let us all point and laugh in unison at your dumb feelings.

I didn't know that it was a thing but it doesn't seem to be a very important badge... does it give an actual benefit? It seems to be something that you'd accumulate over time without having to make a special effort. It's not like the Spelunker or such where it's necessary for some other thing unless I'm missing something

you need to get out more mate!

I played a mind/storm on live, he was my 2nd 50. He was... ok. Not spectacular, not great. Good in teams and hard to attack but slow. I tried a Mind/TA too and that was just painfully slow. Yes I could lock stuff down but it would be like stabbing them to death with feathers. I guess I would have to roll a Mind/XYZ but I'm not recognising much of the descriptions here. It was a long time ago but have things changed that drastically?

I would drink my tea out of a mug like that

Where are Bind and Options and Wdw files located?Scarlet Shocker replied to Scarlet Shocker's topic in General Discussion Thank you good people. You have done me proud, as ever!

We already have a good sorcery pool. Almost all powers can be spells or hexes with the sorcery origin and costume pieces abound to support that notion. You can polymorph yourself using costume emotes and powers but if you turn another character into something else that is playing their game, not yours. Short answer: /jranger

How many Masterminds are too many Masterminds?Scarlet Shocker replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion This is probably an extremely useful thing in such circumstance:
