  1. I would ask more about theme. Two ideas jump right out at me. My own Dark Dark Dark Corruptor.....and a ?/Kinetics Corruptor. I know I said above Kinetics sucks, but that was directed at Kinetic Melee. Kinetics for Defenders Controllers and Masterminds is a very Cosmic way to take peoples energy and use it as your energy. Less pure evil vampire and more cosmic numberwang.
  2. Again, I build +to hit and +Accuracy as serious build goals in this. A lot of Dark's survival and strength is based on you hitting and your opponent missing. Climbing to the top of the Accuracy hill and keeping your opponents at the bottom is one of your top priorities. The Stun Cloak in Dark has a bad base accuracy. You need it to work. Fear is awesome...when it's hitting. Your heals, your strange attack chain, there is not a lot of time for screwing around. Build for success.

  4. Nice. I have played Dark Dark Brutes but never ran Bio armor This is one reason I give a lot of qualifiers….I tend to run themes rather than explore everything. The only Bio concept I have is The Toxic Avenger from TROMA
  5. I made a mage tank theme, ranged tank. Invul Kinetics. It worked. Then there is the indisputable fact that Kinetics sucks. It is just not in the way you are looking for.
  6. Dark definitely has the most life steal, and the Corr version has the two attacks that heal you/team. There might be other combos where you could squeak out one more with a pool or something. But Dark/Dark/Dark Corruptor is pretty much "drain you and use your life to make my life easier"
  7. My Dark Dark Corr has two targeted drain / heal. one team, one for me. This thing also drains power to boost damage and other neat Dark tricks. THe build is in the Corruptor Forum, near the top
  8. One thing about being on this one Corr toon since late December is that I have a good rhythm...for everything but Aeon. Damn challenging. Almost all CoH, including iTrials I go into one of 3 modes. 1) If I can get out ahead I hit a fresh spawn with ranged AoE stun, then get into them (which introduces them to my aura stun) and the mobs are mag 4 stunned. Then I tar patch, build up, blackstar, joust back for Fearsome stare (to hit debuff) and if there is a cyclops or hard boss drop the debuff toggle on them. 2)If I am tight with team or fights are endless (+4/x8 kill most ITF) I get a debuff toggle on the biggest bad, keep tar patch and fearsome stare going, heal if needed or to debuff a harder target. Then I AoE and ST. If its a super hard target the Rez debuff is thrown at them too. 3) If it is hard to be useful as a debuffer (Magisterium final fight, Battle Maiden) I shift into Blaster mode, or if my debuffs are all in place and the target is below 50%. Scourge!!!
  9. This phenomenon is what threw me the first time i ran a Dark Dark Corr. It just felt like it was not working. So i went back to Blasters. Then I dedicated the first month of the year to soloing all Red content on one. Now I understand how powerful it is. Sure, there are teams where I am an 8th wheel, just there as a weak Blaster if I can keep ip with the steamroller team. But when I am useful I am very useful. -res -regen -tohit -dam and a bunch of little annoyances. Then there is the significant AoE and ST damage.
  10. Yeah, i built to get ahead and solo. If i wait for the team to Tar Patch, Soul Drain, (at this point someone yoinks all my mobs) Blackstar on nothing. Sooo my stubborn little butt built a Corr that can Tank (for a short time) just about any spawn…then kill it. I just zoom ahead and play like a Brute. Fold Space is just to make that more efficient
  11. I thought I remembered in the Peregrine Mayhem you could defeat knives and do that side mission as soon as you zone. Dim memory but i swear i have farmed a badge that way
  12. the macros work great. still need to test them in missions and get my style down. i have them all set for 100 except back, that is 50, for cone chaos if you hit a wall or the ceilingit just takes you there, does not fail
  13. I mostly use it when the mouse gets lost and that is when i have to use it for my attacks lol. The exception is when i keybind things like teleport and want a certain thing with one touch. Other than that i use it mostly (exclusively) for movement and target nearest in CoH. The 8 direction thumb button turns and moves me forward, the space bar rockers jumps, and the button near both those is target nearest. I have trays 2 and 3 set up with my 20 most used powers. Those are hot keyed to the 20 buttons. But. Again, unless I am practicing the skill on purpose I tend to only use it when things get so chaotic the cursor is lost. For things like this TP and my ice Blasters “ice storm on my loc” i need buttons because I just plot them into trays 2 and 3
  14. My first thought with this is that Suppressive Fire is Single Target. My strategy with Dark^3 is to get a mag 4 stun on a whole spawn and then Nuke. For ST I have to hit debuff toggle and can wing it. Stuns last 10sec? and with enhancement almost 20. Figure some mobs have res back down to 10. 10 is long enough for me to drop tar patch, soul drain, and blackstar. barely. A full strategy to mess with a spawn. stun is wearing off but now whatever is left has blackstars massive to hit debuff on. I jump back and hit the spawn with Fearsome stare to hit debuff and drop the debuff toggle on the hard target left. Yes you can stack stuns. Mag 4+ tends to be magic. Until it is not. EBs can sometimes ignore certain mezzes and AVs and GMS? heh. My stun strategy is centered around the army of trash mobs mostly. Without being meticulous eyeball your cast times and the stun duration and look at what you can do with the time it bought you. In your dream scenarion what would be the best options. Then test that on a +4 ITF. Does it work?

  16. i have only seen them left. i am missing a few fingers and bits right side. so right gets a mouse. i have tried mice with tons of buttons. too small, and/or i suck. the left hand razer mini keypad is awesome though. there was a post 2 years ago on razer asking for one. i think they have milked this cow dry and are moving onto other projects. they kick new "versions" out but its just the reskinned old beast
  17. thank you, now i can put the buttons in my tray and use the bottom 5 buttons of my razer tarterus to move fast fast fast mine has 20 keys, guess they made a lot of variations
  18. Thank you! I think there is a way to name the macro. looking for my ice blaster macros for blizzard now. FR, BK, UP. LT RT would do, I just need to figure how to format the damn command lol
  19. I would like to create 5 macros....with buttons like the Base TP. One to TP 100 ft straight back, one to TP 100 left, one to go 100 right, one to go 100 forward, one to go 100 straight up The buttons... they can be 5 random things, as long as I can tell them apart. Arrows in the appropriate direction would be great. Up would be...? I have no idea where an image library is. One other question....when I respec my Base TP macro button disappears. Where is it? Can it be retrieved? Thanks

  21. Duray I agree with. Tarikoss? I joined a PUG last night and we were sub30 min. A good PUG will almost always do that. Bu good I mean not trying to face Longbow, CoT, and two AVs at +4 and have a couple teammates who are “objective focused”
  22. I just respecced into TP pool. need to learn to use it. The core of this build is getting a mag 4 stun ( oppressive gloom toggle + dark pit ) as an opening on large mobs then running the AoE chain. tar patch, soul drain, blackstar this is the bread and butter for taking out big groups. you can tank stuff up to and including soloing warworks at beginning of baf on this, way out in front alone.   23. I am on a Dark Dark Dark. To me it has incredible layered debuffs. Layering is common in Dark sets. A Dark Armor melee is a study in woven defenses. Dark has massive to hit debuffs. It has ST regen debuffs. It has -res. It also does nice stun/KB-KD/immobilize/fear. It has a -to hit/-dam toggle ST debuff. I find it a vicious enough to go in first as a Tank against groups in BAF Lambda etc. with little care if any teammates show up to help. Because once i debuff i switch into Blaster mode
  24. Thanks. With your bits of wisdom i think i will try the TP build. I can always use my “standard” attack chain. I am giving up Black Hole (big loss lol) Dark Consumption (only use in emergency or when lazy ghetto AoE) and Hasten (this stings a tad). But i get Teleport Target (damn useful for a Corr and my playstyle) Combat Teleport (I need to learn but I should have a couple good macros programmed fast) and the Fold Space. Which I will learn the nuances of I suppose. If I hate it I can always pick up Hasten or Team TP
