  1. i just looked at the pictures. I am unsure it needs fertile land in the concrete jungle (swamp?) of downtown Davenport...
  2. I rarely see teams do Safeguards or Mayhems. Much less badge while doing them. I have seen it. But its like finding a dollar bill on the beach. Possible but not a daily occurence.
  3. yes I seem to recall an old history lesson where it was important for the Nile to flood the areas to revitailize the soil. We have a similar issue in America now that the Mississippi has been "tamed" and the once rich land around it is deteriorating. Still, you could have spent the resources on ANYTHING besides a giant tomb lol.
  4. No, i fully understood they were all built right on the Nile. Does not explain why you spend all the resources building the things. Because, outside the Nile? DESERT. You could have (and they had the technology) took that effort and made farmland irrigated and less dependent on the Nile's seasonal ebbs and flows.
  5. I keep reading this and then looking at things / cities / hubs humans have created historically. Which are just bat shit crazy by any logical measure. The pyramids? You're gonna waste resources on that in a desert? Or anywhere? Places people have settled. The crazy cities that have evolved. No logic. None.
  6. I read it twice. Did he have 5 accounts??? Perhaps the accts were violating some rule about mult accts and/or suspicious comp activities. I am not a comp vamp so I am unsure. But the grammar in the OP stated the ACCOUNTS had been locked. Rather than overthinking it I took it at face value.
  7. Be kind to Batmanuel! He does score with Captain Liberty after all!
  8. I actually use this in a few of my more "self aware" character concept. One is a brain in a jar sent by an alien race to investigate the space-time anomaly "bubble" that is the Paragon Praetoria event. Unfortunately for them it is a one way trip and they received no data. Nothing can get out. Everything inside is frozen in a strange temporal window. Most of the inhabitants are unaware. "Free Guy" style. A few are, but are unable to do much besides explore and gain power.
  9. Please, sincerely, do not name or copy the look of other peoples trademarked and copyrighted intellectual property. This takes a lot of time for the unpaid volunteer staff to deal with. They want to work on new material….instead someone is constantly having to be on nerf bat patrol….
  10. Really playing any non 50 is a money pit.
  11. I read the post as tone deaf...hence my vamp response. But my sense of humor died long ago. Third time I was staked and buried if I remember correctly.
  12. dumped into pocket D....on the dance floor randomly....dancing like an idiot
  13. After it blew up.
  14. I am looking for a vampire dedicated group. I suppose I will have to put up with a number of ghouls and "les enfants du sang" but really a coven of vampires would be best...
  15. There is a quest in WoW where you register at the new inn in the latest expansion. 3 questions, about 10 options each. One of the questions... "Why are you here?" One of the options "You tell me, I never read the dialogue." You are not going to improve (significantly) the experience of players by posting boiler plate the first time (or first hundred times) they log in. You are not going to improve them by slashing 2xp in various ways. Oklahoman and a few others have a CHANCE of improving how people play. Because they lead and instruct. Some folks will learn from that. I think I have been on one of Oklahoman's leagues and had to be PMd to give the star back. I dont look! I am fiddling with stuff and moving my coffee cup to attack position.
  16. the rainbow is well represented in game. quite a few LGBTQ+ players are top notch gamers in my experience. do look up the costume contests posts and track those folks down. I am reasonably certain they can point you in the right direction. good luck.
  17. I have standards. I never post the word "First" and I only post quality. ymmv...
  18. Too true. On almost every PUG team I am on I am overgeared and know the fights so well. Unless the boneheads do something like pull the door on last mission of Posi 1 I can handle nearly anything, whether on a Blaster or w/e. For the Posi1 shadow fight I save huge team insp. A couple purps mez prot red and mebbe a yellow. Then just rain hell on the unsuspecting shadows. Particularly fun with a Dom. Just have them stand there and drool.
  19. Heh, I indulge a multi layered strategy for solving end issues. ToE sometimes goes in there. Depending on build room. It is a very good idea, but there are other options.
  20. Just need one little npc from Atlas. Preferably looking like a school crossing guard. Walking back and forth across the area. Those things can push anyone Better yet a janitor pushing a broom!
  21. In a zone? Tough. You have to manually track them. This is a true pain when you badge Goldside. They have 8 (or 9+) location badges, then plaques, then graffiti, and then river spots. I take out a scratch pad when I start those zones. Worse yet, the graffiti and the river (and the train) are multi zone puzzles. KEEP TRACK on paper!!! In a zone like Atlas? I just pick a direction and count them off in my head, plaques and badges. Atlas has a lot of plaques. Most zones have 2-3 max. If you finish and do not get the zone accolade and 5 merits you just open recent badges and compare to the zone map. go pick up the one you missed. But make double sure you got all plaques. That gets ugly if you miss one and cant tell until way later.
  22. Ya know, my first response to this I did not know it was a rockstar who posted. Yes Oklahoman. I mean you! You rock. YOU play at the highest level. I never would have thought a PUG league could do Really Hard Way Magisterium. Until I saw you drag the rabble through it and make it happen. YOU are an S tier player. I have been blessed (or cursed) to see a few other S tier players. Speed runners, Die Hard mode runners, ultimate badgers. It is exhilarating and a bit disheartening. Like listening to Unchained Melody by Righteous Brothers. So good. Then trying to sing...anything. Oof. I play better than I sing. That is not saying a lot. I'll be very generous and call myself an A tier player. With certain conditions. Not too much or too little coffee. Not distracted by a weird day. Have refreshed my memory on the content being run. The wind is blowing in the right direction. Nothing runs across the screen dragging a shiny object... You Oklahoman, and a select tier of players are the ones that play at the top level. The rest of us... Well...we play!
