One of the reasons I dislike Dark Dark is it has a click sustain.

Well I have been building and playing ultra conservative. Now I am innertubing bareskin down mt everest on a Fire Fire Blaster lol. The impetus to put Defiant Barrage in a toggle is then I can throw a full set of Superior Winters Blast in my T2 Fire Blast and pick up a good amount of defenses. My defenses are not high, but this would slap my 3rd set of full sup winter and that helps. Trying to make the little Fire Blaster survivable with the help of 1 med purple lol.
-
wellll..... i will not say that is good news. but looking at it the 1 point of non stacking status protection. hmmm. i see what you mean lol. i just never looked. i sort of assumed it was good. okay. does make the choice easy. i can slap that in Hot Feet then. mostly chasing set bonuses on core powers at this point. thanks

I know they changed things on PROCs recently. I saw someone did a ton of work on it. Then tried to explain it to everyone. I felt like a caveman sitting on a rock listening to a NASA scientist discuss asteroid trajectories. So, I was seriously considering putting a PROC in a toggle. But I need it to fire. Consistently. It is the Blaster's Defiant Barrage PROC and it would potentially be going in Hot Feet from Fire Manipulation. Is that going to work?

Going back and checking out old ATs and sets I have 50d and parked So of course I have tried Fire Blasting. So much floor time. About two years ago was my latest attempt. I quick leveled and incarnated one and ran a few I trials. Parked it. Now I have picked it up and am running it through every TF SF and Trial in level order. Maybe I have finally gotten a bit better. One of the things I am doing differently is I only kill what is easy. Which honestly is most things. A good built Fire Blaster can level hard spawns in seconds. But I only play the moves that win. Cowardly little Fire Blaster The other observation is Fire has mitigation. I just always believed it did not. It mezzes mobs. Just… in a really screwy way. With Rain of Fire, Hot Feet, and Bonfire from Flame Mastery mobs will not be “feared” they will freaked the F out. They want to get out of the room, the game, and the lifestyle. I have had AVs jump off cliffs to get away from me. Scary little Fire Blaster This is a very interesting run. My goal is to develop my tactics out. This usually cycles into finishing out the level 50 TF/SF/Trials with an emphasis on +4 kill most ITF performance. I do the I trials for badges but after that only when bored. I honestly doubt this thing could handle a 2 star and 99% sure a 4 star would be torture. I just build for damage, am not ranged, and let the oddness of Alpha Strike mechanics work in my favor.

Brute or a Tank. Heavier armor (like Invul as Hyperstrike suggested) I would go with something that gets its nice attack powers early, like SS. Get P2W grenades and P2W summon pets. have fun.
-
This is not listed in the Wiki that I could find. I asked in game. It....was not helpful lol.

I just started looking at the power I grab immediately on every Blaster at 50. Alpha: Musculature Core Paragon. Okay, on Dark I might go Radial for To Hit debuffs. But, in chasing perfection, Core is shiny. Musculature Core Paragon. Increases damage 45%, immobilization and Defense Debuff 33%. Who uses those second two? Well, Radiation Blast uses Defense Debuff. Talk about living on the edge. a Point Blank Nuke and your secondary effect being applied over time. How often are Blasters missing anyways? Yeesh. Hmmm. I love the look of Rad. One of the coolest looking Snipes in the game. But noooooo. I think not.

Good News. New Players. Bad news. Teams suck.
Snarky replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I led a Manticore this morning. One of the players was new. They were on a Blaster and thankfully a Tank stayed with them. I was on a Blaster. A couple times I had to divert from doing anything effective to run back to those two who are wandering haplessly into giant Crey spawns. The new Blaster was…not killing fast. My Blaster? Heh. Fughedaboutit. Evil ranged thing Seismic Temp Flame. We did the Manti in just over 30 min and at the end the new player was like “is that it?” I feel the same way when I play WoW. Because I never play it. I have two low level dungeons memorized there and everything else is a mystery to me. Hopefully they needed the badge for TF commander. And they got merits. I really feel I did not help them very much. At the same time I am not grabbing a PIG and trying a kill most Manti. Way too long, way too many unhappy people -
Ever come back to a AT + Power and find greatness?
Snarky replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Yes, I am addicted to the giant Meteor sound and animation. It is a reminder of how much I like knock out Blow. Having Bonfire as a strategy tool satisfies my need for that type of gaming. The damage, very respectable. No Fire Blaster, but what really is? I have one. Yeesh, that is NOT a relaxed playstyle. -

I cannot remember the last time i failed a Keyes. Well… there was the one time Cosmic Council did it on purpose. You see, if you kill Anti Matter early the Trial fails. Having heard this many of us insisted on doing it. There is no magic cut scene or anything though. Just boop you fail. Exit. -
I alt. A lot. Usually in search of a great vampire. But I have tried many a weird AT and powerset combo. Have maybe 30 fully kitted out 50s in my garage, some with multiple builds for various content. A lot of "empty" 50s stripped and stored. One of my obsessions was finding a great fully ranged Blaster. Now Beam is great for ST, and I love what they have done with AR. But I just wandered over to an old Seismic Temporal Blaster I ran at 50 for like a week a year ago. I made an alt build for it for doing low level stuff. Then started doing every TF/SF/Trial in order. Just completed the 25-30 stuff and will be doing the first respecs and Katie Hannon this evening. What I discovered is that there is a great "trick" I overlooked on this playstyle. I built him fully ranged, with concentration on ranged defense. Just not taking a couple measly temporal attacks. No big loss. As I leveled I was impressed by how effective that very large Meteor was. Then I got to a level where I could add Bonfire from Flame Mastery. Now most of us have been warned about the giant knockback on this pseudo pet. And it is monumental. So....say I wander into a giant area packed with multiple spawns. I (stealthed) build up and drop meteor on one spawn. I drop the very large Bonfire on their neighbor spawn. Then I go stand in the Bonfire. It is the brave soul that comes up to melee me. Someone who I know to center my ST attacks on. The strange synergy of being fully ranged and then standing in a fear patch that is almost a nuke level damage patch that knocks back most? Greatness.

You can rename it but the Dev staff gets to pick the name. DONT DO IT. Just ask “The Rabbit Ear Gang”

I am NOT a great builder. I am reworking some old ideas. Almost did Ice Ice yesterday but decided to pfutz with Seismic Temporal instead. Damn that meteor is pretty. I would build high recharge. A serious build goal kept in mind on every power pick. Along with accuracy. BUT.... For Ice (As I have with Seismic) I would look at boosting your Range. You do not have a Snipe so Exp Marks is out. But you do have a few cones. 2 slotting Bombardment and possible spitting Blasters wrath into 2x 3 slots for range increase is a nice strategy. Yes, this makes chasing range bonuses super hard. Here is how my ideas on Seismic worked out: This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.4.7 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! 1st. nothing, NOTHING will deter the PL folks 2nd It is a nice idea. There are indications you have never died (no debt badges) Not perfect. 3Rd I knew a group of maniacs doing various "hardmode" stuff last year for months. No deaths, survive on only drops, no AH, on and on. All sorts of madness. It is done for personal enjoyment. Honor system

Fully agree with cranebump. THis is one of those "you folks do whatever you want to in that room. does not concern me in the slightest." I do point out once or twice a day in LFG that you can make an alt account and PL yourself, and AFK farm if that is your thing, way faster than being one of 7 doorsitters on in a farm. I have no idea if that helps anyone but I try to be polite and mention it. But if people want to doorsit. Okay. they do not want to play. okay. Somebody is willing to farm them. okay. None of these things affect me.

Thank you. I am going to go Assault Core. THis (I believe) will help in my harder fights with endless mobs I need to burn down 1 at a time or the giant Health Blob a League is burning.

Dark! And loving it. Someone told me one of the Hybrids breaks stealth. Which one?

Is it possible to make like a hideout for your character
Snarky replied to savair's topic in Help & Support
I actually have a giant open base, open sky. about 50% graveyard and 50% cavernous workshop. I do have one corner where I put the floating cube and tons of magic / fire effects. I had to remove some of them. So much noise. 90% are still there including one giant one I think is still causing too much noise. But I love watching it burn. -
I have added some red silk roses and skulls here and there. But after the maid goes through most of the body fluids and crypt dust is gone.
-
sometimes. But for the times I alt acct PL myself or use Discord it is truly easy.

I was going to pay someone 100 mil if they could fancy mine up. You are so cheap! -
I went to Ikea and got two "tables" the glass with hex patterns. They came with small double sawhorses. Those you seein the picture. I went to HomeDepot and got some wood and made a couple open cabinets underneath for paper and comps. The long return is 4 pieces of hard wood just laid flat to hold the weight. I construct a lot of stuff like this. Not high quality or "finished" but task oriented and exactly what I want. Stores never have what I want. So I just make my own.
