Suprising Solution to Dark Armor Endurance Management
Snarky replied to cfarevival's topic in Tanker
A Dark/Dark is hard to level. Once 50’d there are about 12 strategies (probably more) for solving all endurance issues. The one you mentioned is very good. At mid levels. Because Dark Regen is not an early power. I prefer to slot for rech/acc and have Dark Consumption up as needed. As an O crap i get the pay two whine endurance booster (and health booster and phase shift. Love me some options) at 50 you have Alphas and Destiny’s and team buffs that mostly resolve running issues and your strategies for constant end mgt become backups for when mobs/mechanics are hitting tour blue bar hard have fun. But be Dark. Very Dark -

The Reason "Master Of..." Trials Fail (It's the leader's fault)
Snarky replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion
has nothing to do with my statement. also, really crappy sentence structure. my statement. you are wrong. specifically, you are wrong because most times it is not the leaders fault most times it is a player who knows what they should be doing and fails. sometimes it is this old game code glitching. sometimes it is the leaders fault. but that is not what you stated. i disagree with your statement. because you are wrong. -
The Reason "Master Of..." Trials Fail (It's the leader's fault)
Snarky replied to Forager's topic in General Discussion
So. First. You are wrong i do not say this because i am a leader. I am not. I hate leading i am saying this because you are wrong maybe the leader could spend more time organizing. However i am lucky enough to be part of a very organized group that explains things meticulously. Things still go wrong. Many times things go correctly. Good organization helps with that. fundamentally , and i cannot stress this enough, you are very wrong- 31 replies

I would suggest invulnerable armor. Coupled with fighting set it is incredible at low level content. A lot of the pre 25 damage is smash lethal. You will have resistance to end deain. I do recommend a Panacea and a Miracle i. Health and a Perf shift proc and a perf shift end mod. All tanks are hungry hungry after all

Currently soloing every contact in the game on ine toon. A brute at that. Bothways. Uphill in the snow

Sure. They will fix Sentinels. And they will fix Rage crash on Super Strength (one of the most iconic powers in Superheroes yet here representing only Superadine addicted anger management candidates) in the same issue now go ahead. Hold your breath. ( you will get neat new powers if you can hold it long enough!)

You do not have defense debuff. Hint hint. Okay, let me spell this out. Do not chase defense. Make a strong build. Focus on getting your health up. You are almost a regen build. It does not have to be your primary goal but it should influence your set choices quite a bit. Get your resists up to a nice level. Any pressure you can take off your heal machine is gold. This might include magic pool temp armor power. A nice resist buff during hard fights. Might stagger this with Willpower’s temp T9 buff so you almost always have one or the other running in hard fights. Neither can be hastened

I do not build proc builds. But the things to look at would be recharge for one. How often a power is up will affect how often it procs. Again, I do not build to proc so I do not know the peculiarities and subtleties of the topic. another obvious thing to look at is what powersets can you slot into the power. Certain powers will take more sets with procs than others Finally I am sure there is the matter of how many mobs you can hit with the power. The more you hit the more you proc so, optimizing procs per minute, choosing a build that can slot many procs, and choosing a build that can hit a lot of mobs with the procs. Basically volume. Volume makes the proc into a proc monster

One of the Freaks in the Vahz villain arc (the new one from Buzzsaw) has a tech hover platform instead of legs. I would give my legs for that as an option!

Those with the most loud angry voices win. But i will continue to lob piercing snarky comments about it for the next twenty years

Sell me on "Leaves you drained of endurance" powers
Snarky replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
My problem is the character is a homage to The Evil Midnight Bomber what Bombs at Midnight from The Tick. So ….. I am pretty married to toebombing and devices lol -
Sell me on "Leaves you drained of endurance" powers
Snarky replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
Yeah i just revived my AR/Dev. A truly horrid Blaster combo. But it works for my concept. But we are atuck with what we have. A crappy AR nuke and many other things -

As always….it depends. Know your playstyle and what you will be using the power to do. Remember the Space Shuttle was pretty much a glider on reentry. Stupid stupid stupid but it (usually) worked fine I have a strategy for using Unstoppable. The tier 9 from Invulnerability with a massive crash. I can survive the crash in heavy mobs with AVs 95%+ of the time. I do not run this build much….because the toughness is mostly unnecessary and therefore there is no reason to run it. Except that I like it. The Crash from Willpower’s is noticeable but honestly nothing to worry over. A little blip of bad news that quickly resolves itself with no action required. Of course the power is not spectacular It will always depend on 1) need 2) strategy 3) build 4) competence in play. -
Cosmic Council on Excelsior hosts regular Themed ITF races. Doms vs Brutes etc. 11-14 minutes is avg. TwistedPromise from the above speed runs is the organizer

This seems to be the problem in the writing. To me. The redside version was plot driven and cool. The blueside seems to be a giant puzzle box that is extremely complicated (and easy to screw up due to coding mechanics as much as gameplay) that is hard until you figure it out. So…. Then it is like a Rubiks cube. Okay, thats done, next. Meanwhile the redside is still cool because it told a story well rather than try to screw the player one good time

I see quite a few Cosmic Council SG members from Excelsior in there! Congratulations!!! (Not me, i play dirty casual style...fly...clear most lol)

for me it was really frustrating in that the first time in i could not get the first door (before any fights) to open or the glowie to work. then i ran it, completed it, and did not know a radio had randomly appeared in a room in the mission. so i did not know how to contact the guy and finish the mission. so i re ran the whole Fing thing. that time the radio appeared next to me...

Claire Childress hero Contact 20-24 Talos....endless?
Snarky replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
issue resolved. Claire is one of 6 technology contacts in the 20-24 range. They are carbon copies with different contacts to obfuscate the fact you are doing the same thing on your next toon. I rolled Claire. Her wiki article is truncated. The other Tech contacts have all those missions that I was wondering about. -
I actually loved the villain version and wrote a glowing review when it came out. This is my first time through Blue version. This sucks. I am not a fan of change that goes to the suck.
