With all this in mind I plundered my Grav/Earth and respec'd my Dark/Martial. Removed the melee attacks, enhanced the controls for more control and the shurikens for damage/recharge. Started doing some solo missions at -1/+0 to see how it went... boy do I run out of endurance fast. Trying to do better at pacing my attacks and not try to go as fast as my fire/fire blaster - maintain control, and do consistent damage. It'll take a little while, just be patient. And it's working. Got through a bunch of missions solo and now I'm at +0/x2 while I wait for Wentworths to send me some more enhancements. Joined a pair of Posi TFs, Yin, and Citadel and did just fine. Just hit level 39 and looking forward to getting stronger.

Global Knockback->Knockdown IO for Travel Powers/Rest
ninja surprise replied to TorrentYed's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
But on the other hand the game has hazards you can knock enemies into that prevent you from hitting them anymore. Happens all the time on DFBs with low-level stormies rocking Gale non-stop in the Lost caves, knocking critters into the walls so they can't be attacked anymore. Then the whole team has to sit around while the one or two teammates with pbaoe attacks slowly grind down the baddie. -
On the Paragon City Monorail zone menu, I get that zones are sorted by level, but does Steel Canyon *have* to list South above North? Then Skyway has North above South, and IP has North above South. Yes, in Skyway North has lower level mobs and IP is the same level across the zone. But could the menu list North above South so it's consistently North then South in the menu?

Ah, so late bloomer regardless of perma-dom? I'll keep on chugging then 🙂

Make sure your friend knows the KB protection in Grounded only works while on the ground. If they are hover-blasting they'll do a lot of flips.

Old thread but I was looking for info on Frigid Shield and wanted to point out a few things: Sentinel Ice differs greatly from Tanker Ice Armor. No Chilling Embrace. No protection against Psionic, but Invulnerability doesn't have any either. Sentinel Ice Armor gets toxic protection from two powers: Hoarfrost (big heal) and Icy Bastion (fantastic T9) Frost Protection and Frigid Shield also give +HP and Absorb, and boost Regen. So a bare-bones enhanced Ice Armor Sentinel with the two +Def uniques in Permafrost would have about 30% Def to S/L/E/N and 50% resistance to Fire and Toxic (while Permafrost and Icy Bastion are active), 325% recovery and 540% regen. That's not shabby but still tough to get to the defense softcap. I think I'd chase recharge to have Icy Bastion up as often as possible.

I haven't gotten a Dominator super high yet, and wonder if that's the problem. I've played a lot of Controllers, melee toons of all types, Blasters, and the occasional Sentinel. I even got a Dark/Electric Defender to 50. It just feels like my Doms defeat slowly and can't do enough simultaneous control and damage to make good headway. My Dominator attempts are: Dark / Martial Combat @ 32 Gravity / Earth Assault @ 32 Fire / Fire (Two of them because I got one to 16 then dropped it long enough to forget I had it before starting another and getting it to 22) Am I choosing poor combos or are Dominators just kinda wimpy until perma-dom and everything fully slotted? Or is it that even Blasters get more self-buffs? Most Blasters get a self-heal and/or endurance recovery, whereas in Dom secondaries there's only 3: Consume in /Fire, Life Drain in /Dark, or Drain Psyche in /Psionic. Do Controllers feel sturdier due to the buffs/debuffs helping survival during the weak-control levels? How do you get your Dom rocking in the early levels?

To clarify, this is in the earth epic, so any controller can get it.

You can try pressing command + shift + 3 to take a screenshot of your entire screen, saved to your desktop.

Love Fly, always take it. Nothing better than Up UP and Away!

I have graphics turned down on my laptop but I think Alpha Fists gets closest. I think it looks pretty cool with Street Justice.

Old thread that popped up, I'd comment on your original build no Pont in the performance shifter proc in power sink, it'll already refill your endurance with just a couple critters around you. Dark Consumption could use some accuracy, maybe slot it as an attack that's up every 30 seconds or so.

Conditions: In base with Salvage rack storage open. Count the number of Catalysts in storage. Have one Catalyst in inventory Do the Enhancement catalyze thing The wizard says 100% chance of success; hit Combine - wizard kinda grays out/pauses; click Exit Enhancement is unmodified; Catalyst is gone from inventory; Salvage rack Catalyst inventory has increased by 1 If you do this with more than 1 Catalyst in your character's inventory the combination will succeed but 1 Catalyst will be consumed and 1 Catalyst will be sent to the Salvage rack. Defeat alls are less of a pain than having to constantly run from the far end of IP to the far end of Talos, and back, and forth, and back. It's nice when you wind up getting the same door several times in a row but also somewhat ridiculous to leave a cave, have the next mission on the same door, and inside is a completely different cave map stocked with new badguys. And the extreme crookedness of the tunnels... it would be incredibly difficult to dig tunnels that crooked.

Key ask: In zones with north and south trams, add base TP anchors for north and south. The existing anchors for Steel Canyon, Skyway and Independence Port TP to the north, so it would only be adding new ones for the south. As a bonus, this would reduce some of the grind for Citadel and Synapse where you're constantly jumping back and forth between two zones and the mission is nearly always on the opposite side of the zone from the base TP destination. Sure you can run to the train and take it south but that still detracts from time spent punching things in the face.

QoL: Cimerora destination portal
ninja surprise replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Or two alternatives: Ability to add an Aspect of the Whatever crystal thing to our bases that goes to Cim, like the one in the Midnighter club, Add a Crystal to Night Ward. The biggest pain in the butt is that however you get to Steel, Croatoa, or Founders Falls you have to travel quite a ways to the club. In Night Ward the house is right there near the base TP landing zone and the "tunnel" transporter. But for some reason that zone didn't get a crystal. -
Auto-select new mission when talking to a contact
ninja surprise replied to ninja surprise's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Or a super useful tweak: On the Contact screen add a button "Set this mission" so that we can set the mission from the person we just talked to without having to switch to the Mission tab and figure out which mission was just given. Often I'll have a bunch of tips and mission arcs and the short text is ... not quite descriptive, so I have to click through a few missions to figure out which is the one I just received and want to run next. -
A person could roll street justice and in the costume creator give it the big pom poms.

Auto-select new mission when talking to a contact
ninja surprise replied to ninja surprise's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yep, same with clicking a store, trainer, or other thing on the map. -
When running missions, after talking to a contact and getting a new mission, you then have to switch from the Contact tab to Mission, identify the mission you just received (if you have multiple active you have to figure out which is the brand-new mission), select it, wait for the window to stop resizing, then click Select Task to set it as the active mission so the team knows where to go. How about an option to enable "Auto-select new mission" that automatically sets the active mission to the one just received from the contact? Such a nice QoL timesaver.

What is Titan Weapons like for Tankers?
ninja surprise replied to TheGentlemanGhostronaut's topic in Tanker
Tankers also have to be strategic about when to *stop* attacking with TW. When the spawn's whittled down and your 7 teammates are competing to finish off the last boss or the last 2 or 3 critters and you ran out of momentum, you have to have the character strength to stop attacking and run away (to the next spawn) instead of starting another swing and then being stuck in animation for a few seconds after the critter's already been defeated and the whole team's watching you swing at nothing and the Blaster is already heading off to nuke the next spawn. You'd think people would learn this by the end of their second DFB but it's amazing how many TW tanks think it's their duty to defeat every last critter. Even though almost everyone else on the team can defeat a minion before TW has built momentum (exaggeration for emphasis). Don't try to defeat every single enemy yourself. Go find big spawns and start swinging like crazy! -
My Ice Armor/Stone Melee is a blast to play and I don't remember seeing another out and about.
-
WP/DB will be fine. If you're worried you can roll it on Pineapple, bump it to 50, give it a bunch of free sets, and run a few radios or arcs. If you like the animations you'll love playing it. Without looking, I don't think Willpower has any clicky powers that would cause re-draw so it's non-stop cutting action 🙂

I have one around 47 and it's good. Set your tray so you routinely click Energy Absorption and you can keep swinging forever. Easy to softcap defense, with Hoarfrost when a few attacks get through. With Icicles you can choose to let the last few critters waste away without having to build momentum just to hit them once or twice. Chilling embrace is one of the best taunt auras. Good combo.
