  1. Less about the costume and more the overall aesthetic, my fear tank Crimson Shroud!
  2. Not Blade, Not-Blade, and Totally Not Blade are all available on Torch! 🙂 Vampire-Hunter is also free (if you wanted to go for derivative). You could also throw "Blade" through google translate and see what comes out of that.
  3. I think you misunderstood - I'm adding procs to immobilize enemies to better take advantage of Radial's fear+immob=stun. I've got plenty of immob protection in the build 🙂
  4. Same here. Looking at Spectral Core interface tho for the immob proc (along with the RazDaz immob proc in Oppressive Gloom), as Dark/Elec has no native immob in its powers, and for now I'm choosing additional defense over an epic immob. That last part might change when I get up there and actually see what the build needs in play!
  5. So I adapted the build I posted for this challenge, turning it into a Dark/Elec Tank (going for a "nightmare hellstorm" appearance). Just at 19, but holy poop is it fun so far. I've only had Cloak of Fear for a level but it sure puts in work. And the aesthetic isn't bad either...
  6. It's like you read my mind - that's exactly what I did!
  7. FWIW, he's forever stuck at L1 - literally gets altinvited to an SG, raids the base for a character on another shard, then transfers over there, new SG invite, and drops the stuff off. But yeah you're prolly right. /sadface
  8. Hehe.... I went with "Loot Skywalker" for my shard-hopping enhancement and salvage mule!
  9. Basically, title. I've got an E2 (will be E3) sitting at 37, and I'm looking at redoing her build to make her an "ultimate" (subjective obv) support for lower level content. I got her this far with no plan, but this seems as good a level as any to tweak and start dropping in sets. The thing is, I have exactly zero idea of what I should be focusing on with sets. My playstyle tends to be "run in after the tank, drop Faraday and start with the AoEs and cycling through my Circuits". Given that, I wonder if should be trying to boost Melee/AoE def instead of Ranged? Or is +def even worth chasing and instead I should try to max out as many resists as possible? Also, I constantly forget to summon Galvanic, except when we get to AVs - with that in mind is it even worth having and/or slotting? Really sketchy tentative rebuild in the spoiler. It's all over the place and would greatly benefit from more experienced eyes. Thanks in advance!
  10. As it stands right now, Dark Armour is perfectly serviceable with just the first 6 powers. Everything after that is highly optional.
  11. I'm not sure if Panacea will work in ST, but I'm 99% sure that Preventative does. You may want to swap the Panacea to Health and the Prev to ST.
  12. Per the title - I'm running an Invul/Dark Melee Tanker using the alternate animation for Taunt, which fires a glowing ball of fluff. I love the concept, it's a non-damaging "attack"-looking animation. And it's amazing that there's no typical taunt "grunt". But it also doesn't have the usual taunt notification animation on foes (the head spikes thing), and I've been noticing that it doesn't seem to notify the same as default taunt does. Sometimes I'll get just my target coming at me, other times NOT the target but his friends will come, and still others I'll get the expected mob pull. Is this a known thing? Am I imagining it? Running through a Synapse right now and the inconsistency is pretty obvious.
  13. Elec Affinity/x defender for help with resists, to-hit, and endurance woes. I'd argue ElAff is tailor-made for low/mid level content where most folks don't have all their builds together - it patches so many holes.

    Tankroller?

With the caveat that this guy is currently level 1, and none of my ideas are tested, here's my proposed leveling plan. Electrifying Fences is a new addition inspired by this thread - originally I had Weave in that spot for an extra @8% defenses and another 4.5% En/Neg resist in set bonii. I'll have plenty of time on the journey to decide which power I actually need/want there. (I'm also not set on the Destiny pick - Ageless right now for the DDR, tho Barrier would also be strong. Again something to figure out when I get there!)

    Tankroller?

I hadn't even considered that approach. Seems like a decent suite of proc options... 2 stuns, a hold, KD and self heal?

    Tankroller?

That's where I'm leaning as of level 1 (hehe) - Control Radial adds Fear and Immob (with the guaranteed stun if both effects are already in place), which feels like it will play nicer with the tools that are already in the build. I really should just make time to go on Test...
  17. Snipped pics for no particular reason - just keeping one here while I say how much I like the Ascension gauntlets paired with those claws. I've never found a way to make that particular fx work, so I may or may not have to steal this 🙂

    Tankroller?

So I'm looking at doing a similar thing with a Dark/Elec tank (the big kd+disorient from Thunder Strike swayed me!). Did you try out both sides of Control Hybrid by chance? I'm still in the theorycrafting stage but curious to hear an opinion of which is stronger for the this approach? (Control Hybrid in general doesn't seem to get talked about much on the melee boards!)
  19. Main menu: Click that, and it will display "your chat handle is @whateveritis."
  20. It would be correct - if that's the name of your first character, and you have not changed it. Your forum handle is not, by default, the same as your in-game handle.
  21. In my attempts to meaningfully contribute to the recent Weekly Discussion on Dark Armour, I dove deep into Mid's and came across some synergies in the oddest of places. I'm now at a point where I can't decide if I want to make these changes on my current DA/Savage, or roll up a new DA/?? (Elec, KM and Psi are front-runners) to do some cool tricks. The guts of this evolution revolve around: Cloak of Fear, Invoke Panic, and Intimidate, all slotted with Unspeakable Terror +disorient proc Oppressive Gloom slotted with Razzle Dazzle +immob proc Spectral Core Flawless Interface (25% immob proc, 25% NE dot proc) (the big payoff) Control Hybrid! Radial Embodiment packs a 70% chance to Fear and 70% chance to Immobilize on most attacks, with a 100% chance to Stun (if Feared and Immobilized), which seems like a strong collection of effects that work with what we have. Core Embodiment is also spicy, with its 75% chance for psi damage to controlled enemies and 75% chance for +1 mag on cc powers, which include our fears and stuns. This is all theorycrafting at this point - I'd have to try both to see what works better. That's a whole pile of CC being tacked on across the board. Dunno if it will work at all, but if nothing else it'll be an interesting experiment!
  22. Thoughts on this as a jumping-off point? darkcoldtroller.powerCust darkcoldtroller.costume
  23. @Shocktacular, figured I'd show off where the revamp ended up. I kept your top half entirely - the face/helmet in particular are fantastic choices. Tweaked it to retain the original glowy belt, and changed the legs to be more statue-like - showing the solar power cracking through instead of replacing the stone as on top. Again, thanks for your ideas!
  24. So my Dark/Sav is at 35, and struggling. I've been posting a ton in the currently Weekly Discussion on Dark Armour, and a while back dropped a build into a "fear character" thematic build thread. Earlier today I had the thought of leaning hard into that fear build, and came up with something that (on paper) appears to hold up remarkably well. The most glaring issue is the recharge. Almost all the slotting is in service of bumping up energy resists and lowering endurance costs, and as a result there's no Hasten and only 40% global rech. Incarnate choices could do something to mitigate that a bit, but I'm not sure how much.
