  1. This is exactly the problem: there are too many uninformed people, or worse, people with minimal information jumping to the worst possible case scenario and assuming that it's just a matter of time before some players cause it to occur. People need to lighten up and let the developers (in this case, the Homecoming team) and the GMs handle the problems. Report people if you suspect an issue with their character. Do not badger them personally about it, and please do not go around ranting about what you think will happen because someone told you. The people who actually do know will handle it, and they don't need anyone stoking fires to burn anyone at the stake.
  2. That is incorrect. Costumes and even uniforms can indeed by trademarked, as long as they maintain a legally distinct nature to them. Therefore uniforms such as your favorite fast food franchise gives to their employees would likely be trademarked, but the standard grey-green overalls found on your typical mechanic at an autobody shop likely will not be. For more info, I've provided a link below. https://www.erikpelton.com/non-traditional-trademarks-costumes-and-uniforms/ Remember the old days when the comic companies would include an image of the character on their cover somewhere, like a tiny full body portrait with the trademark and copyright symbols? That meant that the image was protected both as an individual whole piece of art (even if it was small) as well as displaying the full likeness of the character, the likeness being the trademark at issue. Imitate at your own risk, because they were sending a message. Symbols were also popular in those corners, as were --eventually-- the corporate logos of Marvel & DC. Now in my original post above, I said that some names could not be trademarked, such as Thor. And that remains true. To circumvent this, in the old days Marvel used to throw adjectives that made the names sound even more dynamic, but it was also a loophole for characters like Thor. So while Marvel cannot own a trademark on the name Thor, the absolutely could own a trademark on the full title, "The Mighty Thor." NCSoft set up the clause regarding having rights to the characters we made on their servers specifically so that they could use in-game footage or screenshots of gameplay from anyone at anytime without having a player come back at them and insisting that their own idea (or ideas) was used, insisting that they get a payout since NCSoft is using their intellectual property (characters created in game) to make more money without reimbursing anyone for doing so. Looks like I'm not the only one who knows what's what. 😎 This is actually a grey area at this time. In the past on the original Live servers, what you are proposing was not only not frowned upon, it was even encouraged. Case in point the COV content that essentially makes your hero part of Arachnos, as well as providing certain resources (like NPC chest symbols and summonable pets representing some groups indicating that you are an honorary member, if nothing else). However, at present, because all of this is running (for now) illegally, NCSoft could presumably issue a cease & desist order over that. Chances are that's not going to happen at this juncture if they haven't done so yet. And the biggest reason it isn't likely to happen is because no one is profiting from this game and the resources within. The moment someone puts up a server and tries to make a profit --which is distinctly different from Homecoming's efforts to only solicit enough donations to cover monthly operating costs-- NCSoft will have a case and start lashing out with the C&Ds. Why? Because they put this game to bed and refused to sell it. They tried to make it look like it wasn't profitable enough to keep around, but the real issue is that they were chasing bigger profits at home and didn't really care about what the American audience wanted unless they wanted in on what the Korean market liked. So if someone were to bring the game back and start making a profit, not only would it be a legal issue regarding trademarks and copyrights, but it would also be a significant slap in the face to those very rigid Korean business men. It's not about creativity or originality, it's about profits and what can be proven to be an infringement in a courtroom. Things have come a long way since Fawcett Comics lost the trademark infringement lawsuit of Shazam being a ripoff of Superman, a travesty of justice from a judge who just didn't see any difference in the ideas or presentation of the two characters. Fortunately, the law has been more well-defined since those days. You can't trademark or copyright ideas like a superhero archer or invulnerable superhero or a cat-themed hero. In fact, Marvel and DC have taken shots at each other in times past with blatant ripoffs that still hold true to the rule of being legally distinct. Examples include Marvel's version of the Legion of Superheroes, the Shi'ar Imperial Guard (with Gladiator as their Superman)... or the Squardron Supreme, a clear riff on the Justice League. On DC's side, the major copy was their Earth-8 crew of heroes known as the Retaliators, a team meant to be DC's version of the Avengers. But Marvel can have Mister Fantastic who is a super genius science guy who stretches while DC has Elongated Man, a detective who gains stretching powers from a mystic plant extract, and neither is a ripoff of the other because they're two ideas presented in different ways. Correct! And great to see that some people do know something about trademark law. A major sticking point about trademarks over copyrights is that trademarks must be actively defended, whereas copyrights exist until they expire. If someone infringes on a trademark and the owner of that trademark does nothing after it can be proven that they should reasonably have known about it, then they are likely to be legally determined to have abandoned the trademark. But what constitutes infringing on the trademark? Using someone else's trademark (word, symbol, or likeness) in any way without the express written permission of the owner is a no-no. However, lots of people get away with trademark infringements all the time and no issue takes place, such as artists drawing images of trademarked characters or people cosplaying. Things this small can generally be considered to be too small to gain enough notice to trigger the "reasonable awareness" factor. If someone is not making a noticeable profit from the effort, then how is it likely to raise the red flags of the trademark owner? This is a good thing since it prevents the trademark owner from being overburdened with having to actively seek out at all times any and every little infraction that could otherwise cost them their trademark. Money = attention = lawsuit = recompense for (damages / lost profits). Anything that isn't directly serving the trademark owner's interest can be said to be damaging its marketability, and how much they can prove will likely determine how much they are awarded when the judge gets down to making his or her final verdict on the case. In the lawsuit that Marvel brought against NCSoft, they demonstrated knowledge of the game and provided examples of copy characters that infringed several trademarks. However, I believe that the entire lawsuit was a formality so that they could move on to a partnership in an effort to create a Marvel MMO with Cryptic Studios, who was splitting from NCSoft at the time. It would have been a whole lot easier if they just gave express written permission for their trademarks to be used by players to the extent possible within the game, it could very easily have been a slippery slope of just how far could that line be pushed? In the end, the case was dismissed when it was revealed that many (if not all) of the examples of infringements shown during the trial were actually created by people at Marvel Comics to show how the costumes could look like the protected characters. Again, it all seems rather calculated to me... as in just following up on that requirement to defend those trademarks if they would be reasonably expected to be aware of infringements, and if they were talking about doing business with Cryptic, they would have to have a passing familiarity with their then-current game. Some things do get away as infringements without costing the trademark owner the loss of that trademark... under Fair Use as parodies. But let's be honest: there is not a lot of parody going when people make their copy characters. And it would be up to a judge to determine whether or not the infringement is actually covered, which means the people responsible for the medium (not the player who created the infringement) would be required to go to court over it. So while Fair Use did allow for some wiggle room, it was never allowed on the original servers... because it would be too costly for them to have to be the ones to defend against any lawsuits brought about by player actions. It was easier to just say "no" to the whole thing. So please don't go crying Fair Use and parody about your copy characters. Correct. There is no profit in that the Homecoming team is doing, and because of the currently illegal nature of the game (operating without the express consent of NCSoft), it's not likely that Marvel, Disney, Warner Bros, or DC will drag them into court. It would be a net loss paying the lawyers to do so since there is nothing to gain from a non-profit organization who only takes in enough to maintain operating expenses, and because the game is being operated "under the radar," the trademark owners can turn a blind eye and claim that there was no reason to expect them to be aware of the game's return. As big as it is to all of us, it's not even a blip to Disney. However, the implementation of this new policy with the Homecoming team is actually very positive news. While it does not signal anything, I recall a month or two ago that there was some discreet talk of trying to go legit with the game (as in asking us all what we would like to see from an officially licensed COH). If the HC team does manage to get NCSoft to agree to anything that puts the game into a more legitimate atmosphere, then you can expect people to post streams of their gameplay to YouTube or other content services that can be monetized, and it will be more difficult for the big companies to ignore those little trademark infringements. So it's a sign that we could be moving closer to some kind of agreement with NCSoft. Please understand that there is a difference between homage and infringements. See my example above about Mister Fantastic and the Elongated Man. One could easily say that the brainy Elongated Man is a DC homage to Marvel's even brainier stretchy guy. An homage should not be a lookalike, nor should it look different but claim to be the same thing in a new package. It should be an original creation that evokes the idea of the original. As a personal example, I made a character on the Excelsior server called Good Girl. She is my homage to Supergirl. However, Supergirl is a super strong, invulnerable heroine with blue top & sometimes red skirt with matching red cape & boots as well as yellow trim highlights; while Good Girl has a red top and blue skirt with blue cape and yellow boots & belt. Good Girl has the invulnerability powerset (which I embrace the aura effects to, something Supergirl's invulnerability does not)... and I gave her energy melee, which distinguishes her from Supergirl's non-glowing punchy attacks. There's also not a big G on some sort of shape displayed on her chest, but rather a letter G off to the side (because shirts like I've used don't let you do the centered symbol). This is an homage. It should make you think about being Supergirl, but she is legally distinct enough to be an original character. If you have true homage characters, you should not need to retool them. If you have copy characters, then just try try to change them up to set them apart from the original source material. It's a little amusing, but I'm not quite sure that this falls under the definition of irony... unless you mean the Alanis Morissette song, and even then it's kind of sketchy. I think the word you were looking for is "hypocrisy." Someone missed out on my talk about there being differences between copyright and trademark laws, and how it's trademark that we specifically need to worry about. Personally, I know the difference and can cite legal precedent where appropriate to defend any character names I have that might be taken away. In the end, however, it's still the HC team's server and they can do with it what they want. I mean, technically, I could invent a new word and use it as the name for my character... and said name could have zero infringement potential nor any offensive qualities whatsoever... and they could still just decide to block it and rename my character because it's their server and they can. That's it. So if they want to, they can enforce any name change they want and not have to listen to anyone whine about it (because they could always remove the person from the forum for being a troublemaker if they so chose). So ultimately, we have to choose to accept their decisions or move on to something else that we can feel more open to express ourselves creatively. Personally, I don't like the term "ripoff character" because what constitutes ripoff? Some people will compare two similar ideas, like Hawkeye & Green Arrow, and say one is a ripoff of the other. Others will have a bit more specific requirements, meaning the character should look at least look like the one being "ripped off." Even my term of "copy characters," sprinkled throughout this post, is a little vague. It might be better if we limit ourselves to calling them legally what they are: trademark infringements. The context of your usage of ripoff and adamant standpoint on "follow the rules or move on" makes it seem like you're talking down at people who make and play such characters. Let's all be friends and play nice. If you see a trademark infringement, then report it. No need to apply what sounds like derogatory terminology or be angry at anyone. Back in the old days, the developers on the Live servers had a zero tolerance policy on trademarked & copyrighted material, even if the player was the owner and could prove it. It's the kind of thing that could get out of hand, as in if they allowed one person to do it then they'd have to make exceptions for anyone, and at anytime someone could decide to claim unfair use of their character's image because, for example, their character appears in someone else's monetized YouTube stream or whatever else... and they gave NCSoft / Cryptic / Paragon Studios permission to use their characters by agreeing to the EULA but can say they did not give every other player the same permission... but how do you as the people running the game control how anyone else uses screenshots taken in the game? It would be costly and irritating, and the person with the trademark character they own could say that not enough effort was taken to protect the usage of that character. No, no... easier just to avoid all trademarks altogether.
  3. Important Information regarding trademarks: Not all things can be trademarked. The most important things to know is that for characters to be trademarked, their likenesses must meet a definition of legally distinct and names must be both legally distinct and original --as in, not common. For example, there was in issue of Thor back in the late 80s or early 90s in which Clark Kent and Lois Lane appears. This did not occur with DC's permission. It occurred because even though the characters looked like DC's representations of Lois Lane and Clark Kent, their appearance was considered common and could not be trademarked. Likewise, their names were common... Lois... Clark... these are names that are part of general public usage. The name Kal-El (or Kal'L or any other variant that looks like it) is original. It was created specifically for the Superman character and appears in copyrighted written material. In addition to the copyright on Kal-El and Superman, those names can also be trademarked. However, this does not mean you can make a Superman clone and name him Clark because it the appearance of the character falls under trademark. Thor, Hercules, Zeus, and other mythological figures ABSOLUTELY CAN be used. No one owns a trademark or copyright on world mythology. Marvel owns a trademark on their image(s) of Thor, all the way back to his original look before armor or female variants and so on. So anyone can make Thor, but you cannot make a Thor that looks like Marvel's. Likewise, you can't make someone named Thunder God or even Hammer Smash Guy that looks like Marvel's Thor. You can LEGALLY make an original interpretation of Thor. Marvel cannot sue over use of the name Thor. Another great example is DC's Firestorm. The word firestorm exists in the common usage language. You can find it in the dictionary. DC does not own the term firestorm. However, you definitely cannot use that name to make a character that looks like any incarnation of DC's Firestorm character. Additional useful information. When discussing these issues, please note that copyright and trademark are not identical. Copyright pertains primarily to written works, but can also apply to art and even photos. Specific images can be copyrighted. However, that applies to those images only. Let's use the iconic image of Amazing Fantasy # 15 with Spider-Man webswinging with someone under his arm. That cover art is copyrighted. The look of Spider-Man in his red & blue costume is trademarked. So copyright law would be invoked if someone were trying to reproduce that specific cover image... while any representation of Spider-Man would be an infringement of trademark law. Please know the difference. It's both amusing and irritating watching people say things on the topic of trademarked characters and talk about copyrights. I bring all of this up in hopes that, unlike the original Live servers, people won't have characters reset for things that aren't actually infringements. I hope the Homecoming team actually takes the time to learn what is and isn't covered under trademark and / or copyright laws so that they can make informed decisions rather than just respond by resetting any character that is reported or take other actions against any players who are reported.
  4. I think that the flaming part is attached to the whip animations. Removing that would require animating a flameless whip.
  5. Let's give everyone flaming whips. The standard issue for proliferating the whips as a powerset to other ATs is that there isn't enough animations to make it work. So instead of trying to build a full whip primary or secondary powerset, why not make a pool power set similar to the Fighting pool? (Corruption - renamed) - Level 4 - Ranged, Light DMG (Lethal) + Foe DoT (Fire) (Lash - renamed) - Level 4 - Close, Moderate DMG (Lethal) + Foe DoT (Fire) + chance of KB Perimeter Defense - Level 14 - Toggle: Self +Def (Melee) "Your expertise with the whip allows you to keep foes at a distance, making it more difficult for them to strike you in melee." Redirect Flame - Level 14 - Toggle: Self +Res (Fire) "Your flaming whip absorbs some incoming fire damage." Whip Mastery - Level 14 - Short Range (Cone), Moderate DMG + Foe DoT (Fire) + chance of KB Turn the fire damage into lethal and the toxic DoT into fire to differentiate it from the hellish version MMs have, while still explaining the flaming aura around the whip animations. The attacks would be okay but not better than primary & secondary attacks, and no new animations would need to be created. Animations for the defense & resist toggles could be borrowed from super reflexes and invulnerability.
  6. Almost forgot this with my big list above, but an idea from the past that I think Champions Online wanted to implement: personal arch nemesis. Maybe some kind of complete character creation add on for each character so we can build an arch nemesis with a unique costume and powerset selection, and the ability for this NPC to show up in missions randomly as a boss, elite boss, or AV/signature hero depending on team size and team leader's adjusted mission level.
  7. Things I would like to have: 1. Powers!! 1A, More Pool / Ancillary power sets. Removal of patron arc completion for patron pools. 1B. More proliferation (I can do a MA/SR tank... but now I want a SS or EM scrapper). 1C. New powersets, even based on other stuff we have... like a Shuriken "blast" powerset for blasters, corruptors, defenders, and sentinels. We have 4 attacks already with the dominator Martial Assault secondary set... add a Build Up and a few specialized damage shuriken effects (a shocking/stun shuriken, for example, like Batman's electrified batarangs, one that explodes into a movement & rech reducing goo like the glue arrow). 1D. New mastermind sets... a Horror Minions set using the Halloween monsters (vampires, werewolves, and witches and summonable pets and maybe a swarming ghosts attack similar to the Call Ravens power from Beast Mastery). No need to make cosmetic changes to the existing monster models with upgrade powers; just give them their boosts and indicate upgrades in place with glowing eyes. 1E. Illusion Control for dominators... and modified similar set for Masterminds: Illusionary Minions. 2, Speaking of pets... pet CONTROL for controllers and dominators. It doesn't have to be as complex as mastermind control over their pets, but basic Attack and Heel commands so that we can keep our pets from drawing aggro when we're trying to avoid it would be nice. 3. NEW unique heroes and villains in things like mayhem & safeguard missions, as well as other mission content with unique recurring characters like Frostfire. 4. Fixing the costume creator so that the content we have can be in a recognizable (alphabetical please) or even sortable order as it grows increasingly difficult to find pieces as the content grows... because I do want to see more content. Also, making existing content available & accessible in all modes. For example, the new spectrum pieces are awesome and while the chest piece is there under shirts & jackets, the spectrum gloves are not accessible with shirts and jackets. Also, need spectrum on other "boot" items than just standard... especially the "Flat" boot option. 5. More face options or maybe a redesigned face system that allows one to create faces from a pool of parts (using the eyes, noses, and mouths of the faces we have). 6. More skin color options. The ones we have are okay, but a little limited at times. 7. Additional work on auras. 7A. Several auras need "and Eyes" options added. For example, "Glow" has body or eyes, but not Body and Eyes even though "and Eyes" is there for things like Gloves and Eyes. Fire needs this, as does the Starburst Glow aura. Would also like to see "and Eyes" options with some of the Path Auras, too. 7B. More asymetrical aura selections. Some of the newer auras, such as Battle Fury allow you to select a single hand (and even choose if it's left or right). Additionally, lower body (boots or legs & boots) options should be available. I think the only aura that has a lower body only option right now is Slime. But I'm thinking stuff like flaming boots or glowing legs, for example, as thematic options for speedsters. 7C. Multicolor auras... would especially love to see the option to have eyes glowing one color with body or specific other parts in a second color. 7D. Glowing eyes for headless options. I know it sounds counter-intuitive to have glowing eyes when there are no actual eyes, but why not have just glowing disembodied eyes floating above the headless body or emanating from the floating orb or within the empty sockets of the floating skull? Seems spooky and ominous and cool. 8. More work on hats... 8A. More monstrous heads and options for them. Maybe hats for the monstrous heads. Why can't I have a fish head with a fedora? 8B. Hats with more than one hairstyle. 9. Hairstyle proliferation. There's absolutely no reason to limit the female hairstyles to females only, or male hairstyles to males only. The super-long Glam or Hard Candy styles are equally valid choices for male characters. 10. Costume piece proliferation: Thigh High boots for males and Barbarian Ring gloves (as well as matching belt) for females should be options... as well as other gender-specific costume pieces being made available to all 3 body types. Carnie gloves and boots for females only? Not fair. 😛 11. More AE functionality. More more more... and better. 12. More special event missions like the Summer Blockbuster. More locations for missions with the ability to go outside the city (space missions, undersea missions, remote locations (teleport in, complete mission, go home) such as deserts, forests, or even small town(s) outside the city limits would be nice. Croatoa was a nice start, but it's still linked to Paragon City via the train line. I'm thinking a little further out... rural and almost completely removed from the city except by roads (too far to walk) or teleporting in.
  8. Some names I've noticed that are available... in case anyone wants them: Assbutt Brainhack Brainjacker Counterstrike Enigmatic Ex-Man Grab HammerSlammer Headbuster Hotstorm HotWatt Humanitarian Hustler Hypnopocalypse Hypnostorm Ice Slice Immunity Kill Skill Killstealer Legbreaker Liquidstorm Little Brother Magic Mushrooms Merc Storm Murkstorm Omni-Force Riotstorm Sadistic Saint Sanebrain Shrill Kill Soulstealer Stormshot Stun Nun Swordstorm Terrorstorm Timebinder Timeblaster Timetwister Unholy Hero Weekend Warlord Will Kill Enjoy!
  9. While I'm at it... I've also released the following names: Parody Placeholder Upgrayedd
  10. Released the name Ultraviolent if anyone wants it. It wasn't my first choice, and I just can't play a character with a name other than the one I wanted. If anyone has the name Violence and isn't using it, I'd happily take it off your hands... 🙂
  11. Yep. Been having the same problem with Summer Blockbuster event since yesterday morning when the servers came back online. Hit accept and watch 3 others join as well, and then zone into the theater to find 1 or 2 others or no one. One time, it was 3 of us and we decided to go ahead anyhow, and at the end of the first part (casino heist), our fourth person showed up to battle the last boss... and then we proceed to do the arena normally. Today, I have zones into the theater twice alone, and once with 2 others present but we were not teamed. And one time I got sent to a map that looked like a generic high tech corridor with swampy side borders and someone else's character standing there facing away from me (see below). Whatever happened when the servers went down yesterday morning seems to have broken the LFG thingy.
  12. That rusty blade model that Katana has? Yeah, I'd like that on broadsword, please.
  13. You are the mastermind. Be the mastermind. You really do have to think for your pets, and if they start doing something you don't like --such as chasing off after a runner, then you as the mastermind have to reign them in.
  14. Original animation isn't possible anymore. They can give options for animations, but they all have to be the same duration. Original Storm Kick animation was *much* longer than the current one, so is not compatible anymore. If the original storm kick animation is still present in the game, then I don't see why it couldn't be made into an alternate option for Flurry in power customization.
  15. Sally is a Mobile Exploration Badge.
  16. I'm not a fan of those. Would prefer something that offered the same style of play with more diversity in how you attack than shoot gun & smash w/mace.
  17. I really don't care what they call it... Issue 26 or Volume 2 or City of Heroes: Episode 47 - You Got Your Game Back
  18. Here's a short list of some (of what I would hope are) easy add ins: Jewelry: Necklace, under either (or both) Female -> Head -> Detail 2 (because it's a neck option like the Gunslinger 1 or Gunslinger 2) or Upper Body -> Shoulders (like Spiked Collar, Neck Chain, or Neck Chain Heavy) The Neck Chain option also lets you select chain or barbed wire. What I'm thinking is a plain, thin necklace chain rather than a heavy can-tow-a-car chain... and it could have options to have nothing attached, a disk-shaped amulet, a jewel, or military style dog tags. Lots of room here actually for what could be on the end of a necklace like this. Bracelet(s), options for Right hand only, left hand only, and both hands with actual bracelets being one a few different choices: - Friendship bracelets (make a two-tone weave, but since costume pieces showing skin, like a bare hand with a bracelet on it) typically can have only one color option, make one of the colors a baked in (like the buckles on the Male -> Boots -> Victorian Steampunk) as white and the player can select the other color. Optionally, also have gloved and ungloved versions. - Thin piece strip of decorative metal - Hospital wristband (those things are indestructible!!) - Heavy chain to match the neck chain Earrings, under Head -> Detail 1 and/or Detail 2 (both maybe for layering) with a couple simple shapes (circle, triangle, whatever) and a couple more that hang (feathers, hoops, and a dangling gem). Also, each should be selectable as Right, Left, or Both... so the list would look like: - Earring, Stud (Left) - Earring, Stud (Right) - Earring, Stud (Both) - Earring, Hoop (Left) - Earring, Hoop (Right) - Earring, Hoop (Both) - Earring, Feather (Left) - Earring, Feather (Right) - Earring, Feather (Both) Okay, so that's a 9 options for 3 different items... maybe we don't need as many variations as I initially suggested. Just 3 basics with different placement options. Brass Knuckles Is that really jewelry? Meh... as a glove option, though, some colorable "Brass" knuckles that have Glove and Skin options. Moving past jewelry, how about taking various existing costume pieces and giving us glowing/pulsating bits like the Celestial Armor or Fire and Ice pieces? I think a number of the existing Tech pieces could benefit from having some lit up bits and pieces in them. The Chest Detail -> Ring has options for Basic and Jewel... could we not also get a brightly lit or glowing jewel? Same thing on the buckle of Belt -> Jewel. I'm sure there are lots of other places others could come up with for adding in some illuminated pieces using existing costumes pieces as the base.
  19. Here's something that bugged me way back when. I pointed out the sneakers with and without socks option to the developers and asked if we could get something like that for "glove" options for various pieces, specifically the bracers (of which there were 3 different sets), as well as the smaller glove options. Basically I wanted to have the standard that we already have with skin plus an option "with Tights." It always seemed kind of immersion breaking that if you wanted to have the long sleeves and short gloves bracers, nope... you were stuck with tight 3/4 sleeves that ended before the bracers. One of the devs said it's just the way it was and they couldn't do anything about it. So now, perusing all of the unlocked costume options that we have, I see there's Roman Vambraces with options for Glove or Skin, and same on the male choices of Barbarian Iron and Barbarian Ring. The glove option, of course, extending right up to where the tights sleeve ends and blending perfectly with it. So clearly we were lied to, and I suspect because they never gave us exactly what we asked for. It was always, "We want [insert idea]," and if there was enough traction behind it they would eventually reveal new costume pieces that may fit the idea that was asked for... but different. Can't give us exactly what we want because that might start a bad precedent that could lead to more and more demands for specific items. But really, is it too much to ask for to have the the Dragon Bracers, Cloud Bracers, and Wristbands have glove and skin options? Likewise for Small Gloves having skin and sleeve options, as well as for footwear pieces. Also, if more than two options are possible (and the Retro pieces showing normal, shiny, and glowing would seem to indicate that it is indeed possible), why not have skin, Glove, and Tights Sleek options? While I would also love to see this extended to give the Spectrum skin/texture, I know that's not possible because Spectrum relies on having two colors and then the glove/bracer/shoe/whatever would be a third color. But those other pieces should be only as difficult as finding someone to combine the tights and tights sleek textures with the various costume pieces, and then it becomes an issue of coding them in as options under the original pieces. Pieces that need this attention: Gloves -> Sleeves (we have open sleeves with glove or ungloved that both match up with tights, but no option that matches up with Tights Sleek) Gloves -> Cloud Bracer Gloves -> Dragon Bracer Gloves -> Wristbands Gloves -> Small Pointed Glove Gloves -> Small Flared Glove Gloves -> Small Padded Glove Gloves -> Tied Gloves -> Talons Straps Gloves -> Talons Armor (needs skin option) Boots -> Sneakers Boots -> Sandals Boots -> Slip On 1 Boots -> Slip On 2 Boots -> Bridal Heel (females only) Boots -> Strappy (females only) Boots -> Strapped Heels (females only) Boots -> Hellenic Sandals Boots -> Roman Sandals As a bonus QOL feature, while I'm on the subject of bracers and wristbands, could we maybe get some tech-themed wristbands so that those who have animations that look like they're tapping some kind of buttons on their wrist actually have something to be tapping at? Additional request: Can we get another Retro SciFi Gloves option that is just the rings (glowing and not glowing options) over bare skin? We can do that with shoulder rings as well as bare biceps, but can't have rings over bare wrists or forearms... must have gloves or no rings. :(
  20. You find balls to be frustrating?
  21. I disagree. I would rather have the assault set on my fire/fire sentinel, but if they introduced both blast & assault sets, then I would have to start over from scratch because one cannot respec into a new powerset.
  22. Model the water blast set after the other Dominator secondaries, replacing with a couple of melee attacks from another set... and just add the tidal force stuff to the melee attacks and splash effects to the power animation.
  23. Is there any way we could get the spectrum pieces added for Female -> Chest and Female -> Gloves in the Shirts and Jackets categories? Not sure if this is also a problem for male characters, but I can't see a reason for them not to be there.
  24. You want a regen tank, I want an energy melee scrapper. 8)
