We sort of have something like this in the Steel Canyon fires. I’m not sure how often they get run, but my gut says not much. It probably doesn’t help that badges are the only reward.

Like so many other things, it depends. In this case, on whether your character is faster killing single targets or packs. If you melt bosses, but take longer dealing with a pack, increase the level until your TTK (Time To Kill) gets affected. If you have a lot of AoE and lower ranks are no threat as a result, increase team size until you start being unable to handle the alpha strike from the enemy. Bosses have a higher chance of dropping the same items as any other mob, to my knowledge.

HELP! New laptop has huge ping when playing
Honorbridge replied to Flintlock Burnfur's topic in Help & Support
Regarding the priority, is it possible that while you are looking at the Task Manager you get Below Normal because CoH is then in the background? The Task Manager would be in the foreground. I don’t know how to check priority while a program is running in the foreground unfortunately. -
Salvage dropping outside of appropriate level range.
Honorbridge replied to Luminara's topic in Bug Reports
The level bands for salvage have always had a 5 level overlap where it starts dropping early, so that’s normal and expected. Pools are 4-25 for low level, 20-39 for mid level, 35-50 for high level. Recipe drops are based on critter level, or rounded to the nearest multiple of 5 for generic IOs, so the described behavior is also expected. The reasons things were done this way may be inscrutable, but it’s the way it has always been. -
Was someone else besides the team leader the first into that second mission? I have heard reports of that bug making a return where difficulty in a mission is set to the first entrant’s settings rather than the team leads. So that could be how the difficulty changes without the team lead touching the settings.

Changes to stealth unnecessary....
Honorbridge replied to WillParkinson's topic in General Discussion
When you say “a” stealth, do you mean the actual power “Stealth” from the concealment pool, or some other form of stealth? Because you are right that not all forms of stealth are the same, but I was referring specifically to concealment Stealth, and interpreted your original post as doing so as well. -
Changes to stealth unnecessary....
Honorbridge replied to WillParkinson's topic in General Discussion
Both of these are a consequence of the changes to the Concealment pool. Stealth by itself is now equal to Invisibility. SoA/Widow stealth used to be between Stealth and Invisibility in strength, but Invisibility was folded into Stealth, which leaves most if not all other stealth powers (not including Superior Invisibility) giving less stealth radius than the power pool. -
That looks like a manifest for the Rebirth servers, not the Homecoming servers, which is what these forums are for. If you want to play Homecoming, it has its own launcher you can find a few sub-boards away.

All new content is no longer solo friendly?
Honorbridge replied to arthurh35353's topic in General Discussion
The 2 LT/1 minion composition sounds like your team setting got bumped by 1 to x2. Did you accidentally change the setting? As Zag mentioned, EBs downgrade to Boss level when bosses are off, so without knowing the enemy or mission, I can’t say what was happening there. Also, boss enemies that transform (like Council Archon into Warwolf) spawn boss enemies even when downgraded. I don’t know if that’s a bug, intentional, or a system limitation. Ambush against toxic is a bit ugly, but Toxic defense has been added, so I can’t be surprised to see enemies it is effective against. -
Your forums login information and your game login information are not the same. Click Aries’ password reset link and it will tell you your game user name and allow you to change the game password. If you haven’t separately made a game account, I assume it will allow you to do that. Also, just to check the simple, your Caps lock is off, right?

There is an option to toggle to make “Pets” appear over the team window. I’m away from my computer and can’t check, but I’d try to look in Options > Windows > Pets and see if you see it there. This option is not always on by default.
-
Make sure you are using your game username/password, and not the one for the forums. They are not necessarily the same. If you haven’t created a game account yet, go to account, then game account to do so.

Sounds like your character occasionally does not get logged out properly, though I couldn’t say why that might be.

Maybe check your accessibility functions and see if sticky keys has activated? It’s possible to auto activate that function in certain circumstances. Unrelated to sticky keys, I’ve also had moments where if I alt-tab out for any reason, the alt key gets ‘stuck’. Pressing it a time or two once back in the game usually frees it back up

Twilight Son and Mender Lazarus TFs No Longer Available?
Honorbridge replied to Acroyear's topic in General Discussion
I can’t think of a reason Lazarus wouldn’t provide the TF, but Twilight’s Son is for Hero/Vigilante alignment only. If you are Villain/Rogue, you either need to change alignment or talk to Tesseract for her arc. If you are already native blue side, I’m stumped again. Edit to add: Did Homecoming change these contacts to remove the TF status and just made them regular contacts? -
That’s because the only universal damage set is Overwhelming Force, which is always attuned. There aren’t any crafted universal damage sets.

Netgraph is a command inside CoH. Just type into the chat bar like so: /netgraph 1

Damage Resistance Suppressed When Mezzed (stunned)... normal?
Honorbridge replied to BlackSpectre's topic in Help & Support
The change was only to offensive toggles, not defensive ones or clicks. I’m not sure why your resists are lowering, it sounds like a bug to me. -
Going Rogue - Can't see Dr. Stefford
Honorbridge replied to makeupgeek 1021's topic in Help & Support
Have you worked with Interrogator Kang already? Many of the arcs in Preatoria have lasting effects which can include removal of contacts. Kang’s arc results in the removal of Dr. Steffard. -
Are all the newish female skulls counted toward that badge? I feel like I’ve seen this issue or similar before and that was the answer, some newly added minion type not added to the badge tracking. Edit to reply to the below: There is a separate boss skulls badge (Bonebreaker I think?), but all skulls should count toward Kill Skuls.

This is a known issue, and I think it may even have been fixed in dev land, but a new patch hasn’t rolled out yet. I’ll poke around and see if I can find the post regarding fixing it. Edit: Found it. The Caretaker replied at the bottom of this thread:

Assuming you are wanting to set up all your character chats the same way, you can save your entire chat setup in the options menu. I want to say the button is at the bottom of the windows tab, but I’m away from my computer and can’t check at the moment. I’m not aware of a command for creating new tabs, but I’m no expert on text commands in general, so if there is one, I’m sure someone will be along to chime in about it.

Copied from HCWiki: Tyrant is able to summon Boss-class versions of Olympian Guards at level 54 at various intervals, which attack players. He is also able to use Power of Tartarus, a 60ft sphere centered on him, to give himself bonus ToHit and Smashing Damage by using the lifeforce of any Olympian Guards in range. This buff duration is 60 seconds, and stacks, but each application refreshes the duration of all other stacks. However, when Tyrant drops below 40% health, Olympian Guards are no longer available.

It’s not Ouro the zone, it’s being on a Ouro mission. That puts you into Task Force mode which disables automatically going afk at all. The only time you’d see an afk bubble on someone on a task force is by manually setting it.
