  1. @InvaderStychmebtioned this is the Blaster sub forum: Martial Combat. Everything flows and feels positively cinematic. Ki Push never gets old. Burst of Speed gives a little BAMF that vibrates my inner Chris Claremont. I paired it with Sonic before the revamp in order to take as few primary powers as possible. But it goes with everything. Because chainsaws. That’s just awesome. Get some Denji on… Can’t agree more and for the same reasons! Just beautiful in the pairing. To this day, my only scrapper on Homecoming that I stuck with to 50. A final add - stone melee. It just CRUNCHES. An oldie but a goodie. I have it paired with radiation armor for a tanker and told defense to take a hike cuz I’m going to Proc City (where the grass is green and the Cat Girls are pretty). When this mission zone is rockin’, don’t come a’knockin’…
  2. Time to change my slotting! Thanks!
  3. Only for AOE assuming ATO proc. With fully slotted shields and the other defense procs, you can get defense up to ~40. Insulation/Deflection: ~16.5 Dispersion Bubble: ~11 Maneuvers: ~3.8 Edict proc: 5 Call to Arms proc: 5 Total: ~40.3
  4. Agree that mostly you don’t *need* power boost. There are two immediate benefits though: 1) slot efficiency - allows not slotting the 2 +def pet procs, and 2) overlapping defense as a way to approximate defense debuff protection. The first depends on whether you’re slot or power starved (I’m usually slot starved). The second is more content and difficulty dependent.
  5. Anyone know what it is? CoH Homecoming wiki provides the base numbers. I see the formula for ATs but I’m unsure of how to calculate for pets. As always, thank you for any insight!
  6. This is a great question! @StrikerFox may have logs saved to show whether there is an impact.
  7. I love this idea. I experimented with trip mine on my ninja/traps and noped right back to a respec. Ended up taking it late merely to mule some set bonuses. But I use it maybe once every three missions (it’s too slow and wonky even solo) and never with a team. Fine with a high endurance cost, such as equivalent to MM’s Tornado in storm (or roughly 26 end compared to a current cost of ~16). Don’t care for making immune to recharge reduction. But even with that, it would be a wild improvement.
  8. I’m guessing the Lockdown proc is mostly useless now in these powers. Is that correct? I recall it being very nice back on Live (well, for a fire/rad) but now not so much with the proc mechanic changes.
  9. A spreadsheet?!? Oh man, this makes me jealous. *cracks knuckles to begin tickling some Excel*
  10. Pretty sure everyone gets pinballed (and think it may be a repel effect rather than KB). Did not have the preparation or wherewithal to run an analyzer. Many cool, new mechanics. Def a time to turn off screen-shake if one has not already done so. For my melee character, mainly targeted the big bad, press “f” to follow and kept queuing attacks until it went down. Then targeted through a pet for the spawn.
  11. Yes! See here: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/The_Hollows go at level 5 at the earliest for David Wincott or Meg Mason - repeatable missions for her. That’s the April Fools event. Should be done tomorrow. Join a league for the experience (and keep an eye on general or LFG).
  12. This is the way. The Left Hand Path, spattered with the blood and the gore in long thin red ribbons, from slum church to a dark shape, feeding.
  13. I can’t see your incarnates, but an option would be to use cardiac for those edge cases (rather than set bonuses alone), then either spiritual for recharge or musculature radial for damage, -ToHit, and endmod (and immobilization for Midnight grasp haha). That way, you’re merely building for mid/high 80s for normal play but get even tougher when it’s gonna get real. To be fair, really liking Vigor lately too for dark armor. Many ways to peel back the parchment-like skin of an elder undead.
  14. You could break up Superior Gauntleted Fist for 2x 6% E/N, franketslotting the remainder of slots. Give you some slot flexibility. Also Turns ToF into a damage power as @Uun mentioned and allows for Theft of Essence in Life Drain, which ends up being surprisingly useful endurance return as part of the attack chain. Maybe put the three pieces in Life Drain and Soul Drain respectively, then slot ToF with 5 pieces of Armageddon for the recharge. Also recommend putting the Preventative Medicine proc in Soul Transfer. Won’t be dying much with this build, but the proc is always useful. One slot wonder. I find with my naked KB tanks (well, fire and dark armor) I really need more KB protection. You can get 3 points with 3-set of Fury of the Gladiator and/or Gladiator’s Armor. At work (and switched to a Mac) so merely eyeballing the build. Looks fun to me! What are you building resistances to - ~83% to leave room for one stack of MotT? If so, might want to move the set to Death Shroud. Almost always be able to maintain one stack. I know your opinion on defense for dark armor. Still recommend at last slowing the defense uniques to give that little bit of cushion to keep you from going into -def territory so quickly when defense debuffed. Like I said, no Mids right now. Been doing that shit on a legal pad and a calculator (kids use their phone) when I need to build.
  15. Regen is *fun* but takes an active play style commitment (and would highly endorse). Street Justice/Willpower is some cruise control, like a self-driving Tesla that actually works. Also tempting to squeeze Whirlwind in for the visuals.
  16. That’s some epic “hold my beer” stuff. Love it!
  17. I’m sure this has been mentioned in many of the regen threads, but have you grabbed the Big 4 accolades along with Demonic Aura?
  18. All the worst graduate from law school.
  19. I don’t think I could keep pets alive without my secondary! I’ll have to try hahaha (Necro/dark post i27.5 using secondary - 73 seconds or 653.1 DPS. T4 Inituition - radial, Barrier - core used once before engagement, Reactive - radial, Support - core slotted not active)
  20. Overall I don’t disagree with a lot said above re the drawbacks. At this stage of the game, I can’t say I would ever try to convince someone to play the AT. Certainly would not dissuade but never actively advocate. Subjectively, I adore MMs. But the only time I’ve deleted a character over 22 (slotting level) has been a mastermind. I guess I love and hate them equally. Like my kids! Generally and in very broad strokes, it’s a slower style. Pet speed is a cap on how fast you can go through a mission. And yes - generally - AOE is less powerful. Positioning tends to be more important to survival than most other ATs. Build goals are different from other ATs. There is also somewhat less flexibility in effective pet slotting due to the IO pet unique tax. There are outliers (like /storm) but that’s an exception that proves the rule. Full builds can make the AT a ridiculously safe fortress until the level of the mobs is increased to an extent tier 1 can no longer reliably hit. So there tends (again, generally) to be a ceiling outside of incarnates where the pets are boosted. That said, the recent changes (Necro, bots, ninjas, mercs(!!!)) have been pretty lush. My Necro/dark is *much* faster for mission completion and noticeably safer as well. But +4/8 radios (excepting Council) can take up to twice as long as +3. Bots, once in the 30s (more slots all around) and with an AOE immobilize (that’s the key) have astounding AOE. So, that’s a long-winded way of saying “I agree”.
  21. Mine too. And thanks for the share! I'll check my /poison when next played.
  22. How much accuracy is needed for procs? Having a hard time finding a clear answer for this. Thanks?
  23. Those are all tanky secondaries with pretty beefy pets. What level are you? Are you applying debuffs first? For example and for dark, almost nothing should be hitting you or your pets after darkest night and fearsome stare have been applied. Early on, most players get smashed when in bodyguard mode and are hit (and the pets) with an AOE. The pets not only get the shared damage from bodyguard which is unresistable, but also the direct damage when they’re hit (which is subject to defense and resistance). To be fair, Malta sucks for most ATs. Most high level mob spawns need target priority- arrest/kill the mob that you’re weakest to first. Or, cc them until the heat settles.
  24. I wish I liked demons. I mean, I *should* but just can’t get into them. Tried too many times. Fee the same about Thugs. Both sets are just too unruly; makes me feel like I have a hangover and I’m babysitting a blackout drunk girlfriend who just wants to fight. Just let me hang out with the crew that eats brains and let me be, dammit! As to the topic, I appreciate the redesign of mercs/ninjas/bots immensely, but always have treasured Necro. Whether the light show of bots, the piles of merc bullets, the mist of blood left behind by ninjas, or the elegance of the Necro playstyle, I’m down with that. And beasts? I pretend they don’t exist.
  25. Roll 1: 32-37-40 Corruptor - Electric Blast/Nature Affinity Roll 2: 57-77-94 MM - Robots/Time Manipulation Roll 3: 54-83-8 MM - Robots/Dark Miasma Since I’m leveling two different Bots now (and I don’t have an active Corruptor that I’m leveling), my choice is clear! Now to brainstorm…
