Haven’t had a /time MM since Live. Here’s the most recent thread discussing Bots/Time post-changes to Bots. Good luck!

Anyone have good tank set up build for a Thugs/dark ?
Nyghtmaire replied to Vadmac's topic in Mastermind
Alright, I’ll bite. Why specifically an off tank role for this character? Is there a specific team that you’re playing with? Something in particular you’re trying to do? -
So @TheOtherTed, what did you land on?!?!?
-
That was a fantastic short story. Thank you for sharing! After reading, my initial inclination would be for an Illusion/TA. Seems it would capture the force multiplier aspect of the “vision” while phantom army (copying player costume) gives the impression of the angelic host. Superior Invisibility to mimic appearing from the heavens with flight as one of the power pools.

Similar to @Spaghetti Betty’s recommendations, Ice Melee can be a contender with Ice Patch (and the other attacks proc well). Also can’t say enough things about how great Vigor is. Having a hard time picturing an attack set with no mitigation. Even Fiery got into the KD game! For a challenge though, pair with kinetic melee.

Kinda pointless but maybe fun suggestion

😂 That’s the creativity we need! -
Hmm. Have you spoken with a therapist? See yourself in others sounds like transference…

What are the go to Epics/Patron powers for A Dominator?
Nyghtmaire replied to jjolin01's topic in Dominator
At least for psi assault, Subdue can slot the ATO proc. -
Headcannon that you dress your GKs and Lich in dumdum costumes? With dark, I prefer the stacking of -ToHit debuffs from the zombies. I also like that tier 1 and 2 are all melee which makes positioning straightforward. Demons (tier 3) is mostly melee but the others have a blend of attacks. Because of that, positioning can be a little more finicky. I play muted so the noise issue doesn’t really come up. Teammates otoh really complain about those demon roars (which may be a check in favor of demons if annoyance is something you enjoy). @Force Reduxis right in that both are great as well as the relative merits. Personal preference is zombies all the way. I have a couple I regularly play, including /dark, /sonic, and /nature. My future likely involves another zombie.

Agree strongly. My main main (I think I have 3-4 mains ha!) has 6 lore pets built so far, 2 hybrids, 2 interface, and 4 destiny.

More valuable than Fighting in 99.9999% of build options!

Do not care in the slightest as to what AT I’m teaming with, merely looking for a minimal level of fun. I expect any team to be the Justice League of Antarctica and typically am (almost always) pleasantly surprised when they are not. That said, prefer all-AT teams over all.

Congrats!! Self-identified goals = best goals. And your alt number is pretty restrained, on that server at least. Very disciplined for an alt-o-holic! How do you organize your characters (if at all)?

Grats on your journey, and a welcome for your other to Everlasting - the Lastingist place you’ll Ever be, you dirty vampire. Are you doing a level 50 respec or have you decided to keep all the powers?

Another advantage to DN is for pulling a second group, especially around environmental obstacles, into the kill (err…. Arrest) zone. That radius is HUGE, a decent trade-off (cast time for example) compared to taunt.

Scrappers. Every time I go to make one, I end up going for either a tanker or brute. I *know* the numbers, the majesty of the AT procs. I love perusing the forums. Alas, I just can’t land on a pairing that I need to keep. I white-knuckled one to 50 (which I rarely play), despite a lovely costume and bio. I think it has something to do with the sound of the vowel in the word, “scrapper”. Also with @Clave Dark 5 on kins. Love ‘em on a team. Can’t seem to actually make one I ever want to keep. In fact, I have the same issue with /thermal. WTF?!? It’s like a mental block. Maybe all this indicates I need to reassess my meds…

That is super cool! FWIW, I believe @DougGraves rarely moves out of the 20s by choice. However, a fully tricked out dominator is a thing to behold.
-
Seconding @Snarky. But have a look at Combat Teleport. It’s great to BAMF into the scrum to have your aura work its magic and smash face with melee attacks; BAMF back out when the heat gets too much. Good escape, great mobility. Teleport Other helps slow teammates get into the action from across zone or once entering the mission if late.

Maybe it’s the CoV influence, maybe it’s the name - I don’t know. But brutes all the way. I’ve tried to play scrappers (for which I’ve managed one to max level). Other than the one, they never get very far. There is crunchiness and physicality to the AT that isn’t present with any other archetype. Brute4ever. WM/Wp (based on the Jersey Shore) Claws/Fire (reformed former farmer) Spines/Dark (who cares about endurance?!?)
-
DM is a thing of beauty with these powers on a tanker (and even my DM stalker can pretend to have some AOE now).
-
Teleport Other is a blessing. Pull ‘em into the pile. I forget the radius but it’s usually larger than I expect. But I have very low expectations. You can target the low health players in the team window, press “F” then target a mob. Hit the heal when you run into them.

PTSD from Market PvP. By the way, how much? Got a good flip niche for that…
