  1. beyond some basic boosts to damage or effect I dont see much of a reason to really mess with SS and ive got several SS tanks and a brute now Hurl I would LOVE to see it changed to a propel like power where the SS person randomly chucks a car or rock or forklift at some poor schlob

  3. congrats to the winners and runner ups the imagination and creativity of this community never ceases to amaze me the devs giving us free reign in the base builder was a stroke of genius thats allowed for some truly EPIC creations
  4. Controls scaling most likely applies to Magnitude which is the principle element of any control powers so a mag 1 stun or a mag 3 hold etc etc scaling in that regard means the magnitude of a hold or stun or sleep scales with what ever element meets the scaling criteria
  5. pretty much as the others have said I believe scaling refers to in the game context as the effect certain powers have growing over time as they level based on the individual ATs sets and bonuses so as example a tanker and a blaster using the same power the blasters version of the power may scale in damage at 2.0 for sake of argument per level the tankers version may only scale in damage 1.2 per level but may add a stacking taunt aura based on their gauntlet trait so 5 levels later the blasters hitting much harder using the same power but the tankers power is less damaging but has a greater taunt capacity

Absolutely not. the game today is still fundamentally the same as it was at launch in many ways and in some even much easier to learn. both tutorials are comprehensive enough to get you started and the twinshot arc takes you on a tour of atlas to introduce you to various concepts and places of interest. the community is vibrant and helpful and friendly as theyve ever been. the games powers have changed but thats more to the extent of balancing and adding new ones as always learning WHEN to use such powers and on what targets is an ongoing task that comes with experience and play time the game still has one of THE MOST varied character creation systems in ANY game EVER. and while it can be overwhelming its no more so than many others out there all told the games as recognizable to me today as it was the very first time i logged into atlas park so many years ago

  8. yes you should use it and use it regularly one of the most important things in the game is action economy which means the speed at which you act. A tanker or brute for example should always be on the attack Blasters and scrappers live and die on being full offensive in a fight as Scarlet said theres very few builds that can skip hasten as a needed component for max efficacy MMs are one of the only ATs where its little used for the others having your heals or attacks or your OH CRAP buttons back up nearly instantly is a literal life saver for most of my builds hasten is gotten around 6th level as quickly as I can after building the basic set of powers between 1-4 so yeah get hasten it works and its effects cant be overstated at all
  9. As someone who was part of the first all MM mission and SF team on red side at launch with my ninja poison MM Id say the answer is no there is no limit that was so much fun and such a train wreck in caves
  10. Sounds like an Electric Invuln sentinel would be in order and for a melee version you could so an electric melee invuln scrapper or brute or tank

  17. exactly my healer Lifeline uses empathy and rad blast I have the rad blast as green bio enerrgy that she uses to stun and disrupt bad guys

  20. I use Preventive med in most heals for my various tanks such as dull pain or firey heal etc also makes a good one to put in something like emapthys healing aura or painbringers or thermals base heal

The Jedi Lucas intended them from the start to be very white hats. the good guys the guardians of peace and justice of the old republic then the prequels came and we got this ridiculous and inane gray tarring of the noble order, with even stupider tropes such as the jedi kidnapping children or oppressing other force religions and being warmongers etc etc so on the Jedi were never meant to be perfect but it was made clear in the novel of Revenge of the Sith that their being good people was what was used against them most effectively. they were meant to be peacekeepers and to save lives. So they could not just sit idly by when the war raged on and innocent lives were being threatened but they also were not soldiers and so had to go into a meatgrinder to protect the clones who were assigned to them until the clones tuned on them the Jedi were heroes like fairy tale knights of old Paladins of good helping people its only the recent surge in modernism that has seen them tarnished and turned into the ridiculous pastiches theyve been turned into
