Paragon City Monorail - Zone sorting North/South

Recommended Posts

On the Paragon City Monorail zone menu, I get that zones are sorted by level, but does Steel Canyon *have* to list South above North?

Then Skyway has North above South, and IP has North above South.

Yes, in Skyway North has lower level mobs and IP is the same level across the zone.

But could the menu list North above South so it's consistently North then South in the menu?

I think it's in the order it is because of the associated levels of mobs around the tram increasing as you move down the list -- AP, then KR, then south Steel, then north Steel, north Skyway and south Skyway), Talos Island, north IP, south IP, FF, and Bricks. You wouldn't leave KR at 10-12 to do missions in Steel and head for the north tram, would you?

Been a long time, but the discrepancy could be the fact that the north tram lead to the higher zones,  so you had to zip along SC towards Boomtown to get the tram.  Simplest solution to fix the dual trans system (and player laziness to travel another 3 minutes) would to just add to the menu the other team stations.  Alphabetical order would be a low priority when it would be added, but this is long after I left the old CoH/V

ummm? what? all the monorail stops are accessible on every station, as they have been for ages since the two separate lines were merged on live

Thats what I was saying.  It was after my time when I last played as it was the dual systen, but I can see former Devs just going into the coding and setting each station pretty much manually to connect to the other.  Would be why the OP is suggesting a change of order to the list, it was an oversight as the game just reads the list of connections; who else would care of such a minor inconvenience.

I think they are actually in order of the lower to higher level parts of each zone

This makes the most sense.

When you wanted to change your costume at <14 but didn't have a travel.....die by south train then run up the west wall from hosp to icon praying nothing would hit you.

Then you're not thinking tactically. Sub-14, the best way is to hit Kings Row, go over to the west side, take the tunnel to Independence Port, and then it's a short run to the IP tailor. Sure, the mobs are higher, but when you're that low, they're going to stomp you anyway, and there aren't as many to avoid.

0.o  There's a tailor just north of City Hall in Atlas Park.  Even a lvl 1 can get get to w/o much trouble.

There wasn't one originally; the tailors were in NW Steel Canyon , E Independence Port, and S Founders' Falls, so the one people thought of if they needed to rework their outfit was Steel, because it was a lower zone. Unfortunately, it was in the high-level end of the zone, and the N and S trams were on separate loops, so you'd be running (pre-travel-power) from the SE corner of the zone to the NW corner. Kings Row was a lower-level zone, easier to cross, and when you took the tunnel to IP, it left you only a hundred yards or so from the tailor, with only a couple of spawns to avoid.
