Much Madness (Heroic, L18-22)  (ID: 33104)

Still somewhat new to the whole hero thing, you leap into action, resulting in exposure to a "time spike." Now infected by madness-inducing radiation, you must work with the Autumn Wards to heal yourself, and fend off a nefarious CoT plot. But can you head off your own personal Ragnorak in time?

 

A follow-up to Full Circle, but works independently. Custom mobs.

 

NOTE: You might need some version of flight on first map (Skyway, with its stacked freeways).

Arachnos operative Archivon Cain has contracted you help him capture a superheroine by order of the Arbiters themselves. But do Cain's motives go beyond just following orders? Or does he have a more personal reason to get involved?

 

NOTE: Longbow enemies, Custom Characters, and a twist at the end. @gagorder is a rl friend of mine and created this story arc for my roommate and myself featuring characters that we both play. For your consideration, and enjoy!

Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Two. (Arc id 26952) Following the events of Part One, Ghost Widow recruits you to retrieve an item personal to her, while investigating what she says are rogue Arachnos.

 

Dark Deeds in Galaxy City: Part Three. (Arc id 27233) Returning to Paragon from the Rogue Isles, you and the Meteors attempt to thwart the Arachnos faction operating there, but all is not what it seems. 

 

Yes, it's a Part Two and a Part Three, but Part One is in the HOF now so people can find it.

A Taste For Evil (#34159): An arc intended for VEATs (but hopefully enjoyable by anyone). You have been volunteered to try out the new NutriPaste flavor before it gets introduced on open the market. Enjoy your tasty and nutritious snack. Please report any unexpected side-effects to your superior officer.

Is That A Club In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Happy To See Me? (#34161): It's the anniversary of Pocket D's opening and you're going to party all night long. Or so you thought. Instead you find DJ Zero sitting on the curb outside the entrance to the club... This can't be good.

 

The Doctor Returns (#34208): The Doctor is back to stop Crey's latest insane scheme for world domination. Can you help her hack the Mission Architect? (The first arc I ever made, so it's a bit primitive, but I still thought it could be fun.)

 

Evolve Or Die (#34209): Frostfire has been released from the Zig and the FBSA have asked you to act as his parole officer. Is Frostfire telling the truth about having found faith in prison, and is he really a changed man? Only time will tell.

 

The Warburg Connection (#34211): Alan Desslock needs your help to handle some business in Warburg. What at first seems like normal spying and bloody murder turns out to be something much more personal. (Another VEAT arc, but hopefully anyone can enjoy it. This one will probably need some more work, but I publish it anyway so people can comment.)

 

Et In Arcadia Ego (#34212): The Dreamlord is missing. Can you find him before his dreamworld is transformed into a nightmare? Learn about the Dreamlord's friends and enemies in a tale of old grudges and new friendship forged in a dream. (This is an origin story for a character I no longer have, since someone else has the name "Dreamlord" on Everlasting, so I might rewrite this if I remake the character...)

Arc #3328  Escalation 

An encounter with a minor, much discounted supervillain leads to spiral of grudge-fueled escalation.

( After all, no hero's career is complete until a mad genius swears vengeance on them for a relatively minor encounter, then attempts to enact vastly disproportionate payback)

 

Warning:  As befits the theme, the final fight is pretty rough for some ATs.  I know some of my SG mates cruise through it no problems.  Others use the arc to test their builds.  Hard to dial in difficulty to the varying levels of character strength in the game.

Arc was a Dev's Choice on Live servers, and got 5 star reviews from both Venture and PoliceWoman, so I feel a little less like I'm being arrogant by suggesting its consideration.  But largely, I'd love to know more people who like story-oriented arcs would have a chance to enjoy it, since it went through a lot of re-tuning on live and I ended up pretty proud of final results.
