Deeps King

So once l ran ITF on a toon that was Defender, with Time Powerset technically (not Kinetics or something that you could expect pull that kind of stunt from) and some of team was just Melting Minions and Lieutenants in 1 second, and in 1 more second Bosses were going down. Cyclops, Minutaurs were activating their DCD (unstoppable) and become molten before finishing their DCD animation finish.

That was coming definitely not from my Defender, who is surely not the Deeps king. Even with Slowed Responce Achilles' Heel slotting. That's luckily -50% res, -56% to bosses due to Time Crawl. No damage buff except Assault.

Thus l wonder what exactly could cause that everything-Melt? l know there might be not 1 OP player, but several incarnated DPS, but still...

After Titan Weapons Scrapper OP damage is gone what would you recommend now for a toon that would have the ability to Melt All and Every Single Thing to the ground in one-two moments?

Perhaps a Fire/Psi Dominator.  Lots of PBAoE psi damage that Cimerorans have the same hole that many PCs do as well (though they do have the positional AoE defense that will offer some protection).  Could be several others depending on build and difficulty setting.  Or even a strong debuff synergy between several teammates.

But just about everything is weak or conversely strong against something.  Which is why multiple synergistic support sets together get so powerful ... they cover or exploit different strengths and weaknesses. There is no one AT or set that reigns supreme against everything.

There is no build that will do that, because damage is limited by design so that characters can't just stack up damage buffs and DPS targets down in seconds.

There are some builds that can stack the buffs and debuffs, and THEN do a lot of damage. But it will take more than a few seconds. Granted, in the situation described, it's likely that the targets had been debuffed and were starting to take fully buffed damage while under heavy -Resist debuffs.

To help with top DPS on a team, here are some suggestions:

1: Blasts:

Fire Blast is very high burst damage. It doesn't do anything to boost damage, but it can take advantage of damage boosts from other sources.

Sonic Blast is low damage, but puts out a lot of -Res debuffing, especially as a Defender. It doesn't do high damage itself, but paired with other damage sources it can help push DPS very high.

2: Buffs:

Kinetics is king. Potentially capped +Damage, as well as +Recharge to upgrade attack cycles so they use only higher tier attacks, and the +Recovery to use the top tier attacks.

3: Debuffs:

Poison does very good -Res and does it quite fast. TA and Ice also put out a lot of -Res, and Storm is also pretty good at it. Traps is also quite good but much more slowly.

Other:
Demons put out good damage (but like all MM sets, as sustained DPS rather than burst), but also put out a lot of -Res both with their attacks and the MM taking the 3 attacks each with -10% stackable -Res.

Storm does great damage in addition to -Res, and matches well with a set that also does -Res.

Specific suggestions:

Storm/Sonic, Demons/Storm. Neither is high burst damage, but both ramp up the -Res and the Storm powers to get very high DPS.

Poison/Fire. Fast -Res, high damage to take advantage of it. Weak defensively.

Kinetics/Sonic. High -Res AND high +Damage. Only weakness is taking a while to stack up -Res stacks, and that it's hard to keep up with an attack cycle for max -Res while also firing off all of the Kinetics powers.

Trick Arrows/Fire. High -Res, good damage to take advantage of it.

Of these, the two Storm build would have the highest personal DPS in a sustained battle where you have time to put out the Storm powers and stack up the -Res. Poison/Fire and Kin/Sonic would probably put out the high damage sooner but also cap out sooner. Switching Fire Blast to Ice Blast would lower DPS a bit but make the character much stronger defensively.

What? Time is generally considered one of the strongest support sets whereas kinetics is a 2-trick pony.

Team composition is an important thing - it's possible the stars were just in alignment with buffs and debuffs.

Firstly: Take a real look at Arachnos Soldiers - from memory, someone was able to solo all of the ritki pylons and board the mothership using a crab spider build pre-shutdown. Basically, the SoA takes care of the AoE and the spider pets take care of the single-target damage. You need to abuse recharge pretty fricken hard to get there but the buffs and debuffs from the SoA work well an the pets are mobile buzzsaws.

AoE: dominators, Arachnos Soldiers and some melee builds can hold it up there. Blasters with a lot of recharge can liquefy every group they come across. Even my widow has got comments on the amount of AoE he can pump out - he hits like a hammer carrying lots of smaller hammers. I've seen peacebringers tear through mobs like they were made out of paper. You've got a lot of options here.

Boss-shredder: Stalker all the way. At the cost of about 5-10% survivability below a scrapper and usually one AoE attack, stalkers get the ability to basically crit on demand and with the two special ATO's and Gaussian's they can do so twice in a row, with double Build Up, repeatedly and reliably. We're talking ~2k spike damage in about 5 seconds, every 20-30 seconds depending on how quickly the Build Up Reset ATO procs. Back at CoV's launch, they were undeniably too squishy and their inherent power and core mechanic were clunky, but they got a rework in about i22(?) and their ATOs are solid gold. They're now scrappier than scrappers.

Support: back in the olden days, before even CoV came out, radiation defenders were what you'd choose if you wanted to walk up to an AV solo and tear it a new bumhole. They don't get there quickly, but they get there reliably. In combination with other ATs they are still, in my opinion, a very formidable ally. Kinetics brings damage boosts and Speed Boost as well as a good coverage of healing, which makes them a good complement to Rad. Time is basically rad but more convenient so it could very well fill in. For pure destructive chaos, I think storm/water defenders are hard to beat - decent -res, surprisingly high DPS, surprisingly good sustain. EB's aren't a problem but I haven't gone solo against any AV's.

Well right now We're looking @ Blasters - what do you think about Fire Blast/Darkness Manipulation blaster? The best primary We think's Fire (except when adds got +RES to all but PSI), but what do you think about Darkness as secondary? We believe permanent +150% DAMAGE from Soul Drain might look sweet, but if you can suggest Us something that could be even better plz tell Us.

Soul Drain is not available to Blasters, it is available for Corruptors' tho .

Also as someone who has used Soul Drain it is not ever going to a permanent damage boost. You have to be in melee range, it has a 15ft range, you need a max number of mobs and tohit all of them to get max damage boost.

I personally think (and a number cruncher will prolly say I am wrong) you would be better off with Power Build or similar power.

Things I've run for general meltage:

Fire/Fire Blaster (double damage auras + Burn)

Fire/Mental Blaster (Psi damage in secondary lets you ignore enemy godmodes + Drain Psyche)

Fire/Tactical Blaster (Now gets Oil Slick Arrow)

Any other Fire blasting blaster with any secondary will be just fine.

Poison/Fire Defender (more raw damage than you would expect, better on teams)

Poison/Rad Defender (lower damage than fire, but a whole lot more control)

Storm/Sonic Defender (Melts AVs and hard targets fast with insane levels of -res, also great for hamidon raids)

The only two corruptors you need, these were my two mains on live before blasters got mega buffed with homecoming.

Fire/Kinetics Corruptor

Fire/Cold Corruptor

Seeds of Confusion is OP:

Plant/Poison Controller

Plant/Fire Dominator

Plant/Thorny Dominator (fury of the gladiator and achilles heel -res procs in thorn burst with loads of -def sharply amplifies confusion based damage)

In an aoe centric metagame when your team doesn't need more aoe damage, high single target damage can be great team support as well:

EM/EA Stalker

StJ/EA Stalker

Sav/EA Stalker

Bio armor is good too, but for me the easier softcap, endurance tools, and +rchg in EA gets my builds further.

For MMs, which I loathe playing, Demon/Kinetics is still a very strong combination, basically acting as a Kin/Sonic Defender with _much_ better personal damage. Speed Boost allows your pets to keep up with fast moving teams, and to get into fulcrum shift's radius more quickly.

Fire/Bio sentinel is about the closest you will get to blaster damage from a sentinel, trades out alot of damage still for layers of survivability. Blasters with Rune of Protection make the survivability gap much smaller.

Currently on fire.

Fire/Fire/Fire blaster for ITF and general AoE meltage. Based on pug ITF runs with my tricked-out one, I'd say Fire/Dark would be slower. Mostly because Inferno + Hotfeet (with zero activation time and a -res proc) will generate a load of dps before you can even click on another power. And if using another power, then compare Burn's dps vs. Soul Drain. If I get lucky and there's a debuffer on the team, then my alpha strike is just insane.
