Ninjutsu secondary question

Couple of questions about the set..

1. The stealth power, how exactly does it work, how much stealth you get, and how does it compare to Pool Power Stealth? Will it stack with celerity?

2. Has anyone taken Blinding powder? Wondering it's usefulness with coersive persuasion set. Could see alot of use and rp potential if it actually confuses on use often. 

3. Curious about overall survivability. Any issues with lower DDR values? Would you need/want Fighting pool?

Maybe not if you plan to hover blast all the time. Going into melee the majority of the time? Then yes.

The heal click helps a ton on this front. And you could always go ageless radial for more after 50.

 

Can't help with the rest, though. Haven't even played my fire/nin sent in quite a while.

 Not sure how Stealth is measured, but yes it stacks with Celerity (which I have slotted in Sprint). With Sprint and Shinobi-Iri activated very little sees me (though some few things do).

 

Edit: Should have checked Combat Attributes....

So things with a perception radius of 65 ft. or less will not notice my character unless they they ignore stealth radius like some things do according to Stealth and Perception - Unofficial Homecoming Wiki (cityofheroes.dev)

It gives you a stealth of 35, Stealth gives 55, Infiltration gives 36, and Super Speed gives 35.
Shinobi-iri, Stealth, and Infiltration are mutually exclusive. Any of them can stack with Super Speed or the Stealth proc
 

Shinobi-iri also offers a 40% damage bonus for attacks from stealth.

The full Coercive Persuasion set is really quite good for Nin but the set itself can be really starved for slots.  The contagious confusion proc does work in Blinding Powder.  Its a fun power with its minor novelty gimmick.  Don't expect it to be much of a game changer on your survivability.  It may be in some cases but the overall potency of the power isn't that high as crowd control.  

The lower DDR will show itself if you face off with enemies that can debuff.  If you're in content below 45 (where Ageless Radial won't help), then this is potentially dangerous.  Its dangerous in melee, but some TFs will have some ranged enemies with Radiation powers that can eat your lunch.  The healing and kiting strategy can work just fine if you solo.  If you're in a group, then your teammates should be contributing something. 😉  

As to Fighting or not, Nin has lower defense values than Super Reflexes does.  You may find issues with trying to softcap all 3 positional types without Weave.  If you just fight at range, then this is less a problem.  Same goes if you team a lot.  Far easier to close up the weaknesses when others may be lending buffs.  

Edit: Nin is a solid set.  It just has its holes like any set does.  If you can play within the limitations then you can still do a lot of stuff with it and even do it solo.

This is what I have with DP/NIN

I am running 8/3 to 8/4 (Council and Cots) depending on the mobs type.  I have been more actively using inspirations, they just used to sit in the tray honestly. 
I usually have a radio mission saved for farming when not teaming. 

Just swap out DP for whatever.

It is full Positional Defense capped. 

Zero complaints. Just a fun toon.
