I have done one with Martial arts which is ok and extremely survivable. If i were to do another i think it would be /EM. The AoE on EM is not as bad as some say really. Better than MA anyway.

EM has great single target, with ok AoE and some reduced endurance cost.

MA is great, and the animations are hilarious, while in Granite form.  I'm an old-schooler, so SS is what I pair it with. Rage helped with the penalties and a giant rock monster foot stomping is a sight to behold.

Stone Melee is also solid, but an end hog.

How is /Electric on a tank?

Gonna go with /Rad here. Solid single target, aoe is okay with the one big attack and the contamination. But filling Irradiated Ground with procs makes it into a 5 second passive mini nuke, and it's glorious. Go Rad Melee and never go back.

I have a build for this if you want to try it. I've changed a couple of things around (more procs in IG) but it's still 90% the same. And Ageless could be avoided by taking Physical Perfection, if you prefer another Incarnate.

I have a Rad/FA broot farmer and he's a slayer to be sure. I'll check your build when I get home.

Couple things here. Mids isn't updated yet, so you can't do it but I'd suggest dropping a performance shifter +end and maybe and extra end in Crystal Armor. Its a 20% end recovery now, and good spot for it. Since some of Granite's buffs went to stone skin, that should be enhanced for both def and res, so it's underslotted as is. You don't NEED Granite for the mule, youve got 5 spots for LOTG right now. So you can easily drop that one for another power if you like.

Do you usually take two travel powers? To each their own, but a bit overkill for me.

Proton Sweep is pretty miserable and Devastating Blow takes long enough to activate you could go make a sandwhich.

Do yourself a favor and take Cross Punch instead of either.

Well, well, well thats alot of stuff to ruminate over. Thanks for the info I'll change tonight and see what's what.

I knew about the animation times, my rad/fa farmer has them and they're just glorified mules.

Electric melee is pretty good on a tank. Tanks can really leverage the AoE, so it seems like you're hitting everything near you.  I can't remember if it's chain lightning or Jacob's ladder, but if you slot a proc in it, it has a chance to proc on everyone,  which is nice. I put the winter set ,chance for hold, in it and it procs regularly.

Thunderstrike and lightning rod are great. The set just "feels" strong, and sounds great. The actual single target damage feels lackluster. But, you're taking down minions and leits in groups.

I'm enjoying my stone/spines. Actually farming with it. I think stone/ice would be nice too.

I am greatly enjoying my Elec/Stone brute and can think of no reason it would not work as a Tanker.

I was VERY tempted to go Staff for Guarded Spin and the extra 13% Resist from a combo level 3 Sky Splitter. Buy I have like 5 Staffers already. Still, I may go ahead and make one anyway.

...and watching the tank in Granite form do the staff breakdance is hilarious!

Yeah, I think the issue is I'm still stuck thinking I'll be in granite the whole time. It's throwing off my decision lol. I just got a SR/Rad to 50 so really don't want to go through that so soon. I got a Bio/Staff at 31 so good there. I dont know what I'm thinking, I haven't rolled an electric in a long time going electric!

Stone/Elec sounds fun! Solid AOE, good teleport power too.

Just finished putting one together, but running as a Brute and no Lightning Rod. I'll see how it behaves.
