As a controller who wants to be a REALLY good controller, I obviously want things that increase mag, and chance to hold, etcetc.  However, when they proc it creates a basic colored electric cage, which absolutely does not fit the theme of my character.  It hurts, and makes me sad.

I'd just love the option to turn off all enh proc visuals, thats all.

I mean, I kinda feel the same way... but otoh I like knowing that the proc has gone off and is working.

Though I'd prefer an indicator more like Time Manipulation's Time Stop and not a distinctively elemental one.

As someone who mains a Mind and Illu, the electric cage is tolerable, but I feel like I'd have a harder time with proc visuals if they were a stone cage or an ice block.

I don't know technically if it's possible or not, FWIW, since it's not "your power" creating it but the proc that's slotted in it. (I mean, short of creating a copy of them with "no graphics" baked in.)

Not against it, I'm just not sure how mechanically easy (or not) it would be to do.

Yup really want this as well.

Broadly speaking the Winter Set procs (like the hold and immob) can be really jarring and violate character themes.

Example: Rain of Fire procing Frozen Blast's Immob.

I agree that there are some procs that I do not use simply because of the visual fx of it.

I see no real reason that you shouldn't be able turn it off in PvE .... other than it possibly be a pain or time time consuming to make the changes .... and/or the DEVs have things they are more interested in doing and/or already working on.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

Mainly I like seeing it so I know it's working; making it a big flashy thing is helpful so if I try and zap a group of folk, I can see just how many got procced.  The lightning field look doesn't break immersion for me, but I also wouldn't mind if it gets changed, just be sure it still stands out well.

Tim "Black Scorpion" Sweeney: Matt (Posi) used to say that players would find the shortest path to the rewards even if it was a completely terrible play experience that would push them away from the game...
