Can Stalker/Brute/Scrapper get Combusion instead of Breath of Fire?

Breath of Fire on melee is weird.  Its narrow, short and not good in general.  trying to reposition is a pain in the ass, the hopping trick wont work because its so narrow.

 

Or a wider 45 degree cone for Breath of Fire

Before tankers got the buffs they have now, it kind of made sense for them to have an easier to use PBAoE instead of a cone that requires more positioning.  In a way, having it bit more reach is nice on a scrapper or stalker.  That being said, (and yes I realize the devs said they don't like the "this or that" multiple power choice thing), this would be a prime location for such an implementation.

I been loving the buffed Combustion on a few tanks and many blasters.  anything from dropping whirlpool>combustion for my Bad Spa Day character to classic Burn>Combust or combust>hail/rain of bullets.  oof and elec/fire blaster

What are you willing to give up for the upgrade? This powerset was already buffed substantially.

Sorry, I meant in addition to Breath of Fire. Since it’s clearly the inferior power you’d have to give up a 2nd thing since the set is already in good shape.

its short cone being concerted to a small sphere aoe is play changing.

One of the complaints I have is - it feels horrible in terms of synergy with the other powers in the set. The worst part being it feels like it works directly against fire sword circle because of necessary positioning for BoF. 

 

If you position it well enough you are out of position for FSC - which being the better aoe - doesn't make sense to bias the chain for BoF. 

 

If you position for FSC - BoF basically becomes a one target melee - two maybe 3 if you are lucky.  But at that point the animation feels so sluggish it doesn't synergize well at all. 

 

All in all it feels like it's a misplaced power in this set which is why I just respecd out of it only on day one of having Fire Sword Circle. 

 

Cremate works much better, feels better, looks better, and synergizes better.
