Other than the maze in the Labyrinth, and maybe the "Stop 30 Fir Bolg" mission - what are some examples of why you'd want to use this power? I just can't think of many situations where it has any real utility. (I'm sure that says more about me than the power, but the question remains)

If it were a long term thing, where your mark goes away when you die, I'd love to put a Mark in the Hive or the Abyss just so I could fast travel to those zones. They are not incarnate trial maps, so they should be available.

I used mine during a hamidon raid to TP back to behind the rock when our league TPer is slow on the trigger.

It looks like a statement of fact, so maybe it should be moved to the wiki page.

It was my first post and i wasn't sure where to put it so i used the general group.

Maybe admin moved it?

I  figure  they would have moved it to this thread of 'suggestions and feedback' because IMO it was introduced in Issue 28 when Labyrinth of the Fog went live.

The full relevance of this accolade will be advanced as more players explore it's potential and offer feedback here.

As the original submitter of this post i'm comfortable with it being in the suggestions and feedback section of the forum.

I also admit it's a statement of fact and is answering the question?  "How do I  acquire this Accolade"?

I play a Grav/Emp  controller * Caress * @ vet 67 on Reunion.

Reunion timezone is ideal for me as a UK player but it livens up at the  US EST timezone when those players login in.  ie 4 hrs behind me, eg. 10pm US EST = 2am UK. GMT

My playing history started @ Issue 5 on the Defiant server, when we didn't get travel powers till level 14 and at level 7 we ran around the perception perifery of mobs in the hollows to complete Frostfire's mission arc.

Lets build my relevence for Issue 28 playing style, Reunion can be a sparsely populated server @ UK times, so my logic is get the Mark/Recall accolade so i can farm the badge Gladiators of the Fog defeat 25 Gladiators

Malevolent Fog defeat 5 Pinatas

The Minotaur roams and searches *me out when soloing* so drop the Mark/Recall accolade then visit the lobby and return when Minotaur moves away for newer pray.

Issue 28 is still new and i'm still working/perfecting on this approach.

I J S, for issue 5 we didn't have Incarnate powers and taking down Hami meant getting your accolades, switching off your capes and aura's, because we had crap internet then compared to today.

I'm Old School.

Regards Caress

1) Lady Grey TF (regular) - allows everyone to go free Penny and for you to "Recall" back and Assemble the Team at the front door you "Mark"ed.

2) Moonfire TF - allows everyone to go free Dr. Todd and for you to "Recall" back and Assemble the Team at the front door you "Mark"ed.

3) Maps with elevators x3 - "Recall" right back to the center point if you used "Mark"

4) Maps such as Imperious TF (regular) on mission 2 that may have long branching paths to get you back to crossroads of the cave.

5) Useful for pulling mobs to a chokepoint in large rooms.

6) "Get out of Trouble - free" card when solo.  (example: MM pets get wiped = go back and resummon / try again)

7) Miss Liberty TF - mission 2.  "Mark" the entrance and "Recall" back after the AVs defeated while team Oroborus, etc. out

8 ) Dr. Kahn TF - mission 2.  "Mark" entrance, go defeat some portals and "Recall" back to final portal + Invincible Reichsman
9) Numina TF - Boomtown - "Mark" by SG portal, go defeat the Council and "Recall" back to SG Portal.

I like this one.

But I really like these two.

I should mention, Mark & Recall gets confused in the labyrinth when you go to secret areas and randomizers.   Something about how they and M&R are setup.   I think that's being addressed.

If being chased by a Mino, I find going down a randomizer will lose the Mino, but there are some waypoints in Tech labs where he gets hung up and stalls until he resets his hunt.

There's a bug where the Mark pet is being accidentally scooped up by the Lua teleport functions (which grabs you + all your pets), but I should have that fixed in the future by having the destination of the teleport be the original coordinates where you summoned the Mark, not the invisible Mark critter's current position.

Lua scripts in CoH have to be "owned" by something; Either the map, an arc container, or a critter must host it, the player can't host Lua themselves, which is why this accolade uses a pet setup to host it.

So far every mission I have ran that has someone that needs to be rescued and taken to the door can benefit greatly from this accolade.

Enter mission and hit the accolade, then go and free the target and once they are tethered to you, hit the accolade and you both are at the door.

Examples of this working:  LGTF mission 1, super tank marks the return spot then solo rescues YIN, once she is done talking after cut scene trigger the power.

Katie Hannon TF:  Mission 2 and 4: mark the door and then rescue them and hit the power.

Lab of Dr Vahzilok:  mission 2 mark the door,  rescue Pierce then hit the power.  mission 3: stealth to the lab door then mark it then run back to the beginning and get Pierce following you then hit the power.

I do appreciate the sharing of appropriate uses. I just tried it out on the spelunker mission. Now, I just need to figure out if it's worth getting this accolade at level 10 and the more efficient way to do that.

The "complete alignment" requirement would either make it very difficult, very wasteful, or both.

I am probably going to change my method of play - at least in the short term. Get to 50 in the farm, and then acquire the accolades I wish and approach it that way, rather than the reverse. It's time for a change.

Well I am hoping that I have reported an appropriate usage, but seriously  two of the component badges are from the Seed of Hamidon in First Ward, while an L10 character could join such a team or league that L10 may not do as well against it as a slotted up 50.

Long ago on live the accolades were locked at the level you got them and if you exemped down too far the accolade would be offline, then it was mercifully changed to what it is now.  You idea of going to 50 and then getting the accolades is better.

So...I did end up with mark & recall. I discovered I had everything anyway, except The Last Word history badge.

I thought, "Self, you're a genius! A great use for this power is in the magi trial when Chimera teleports you while you're fighting a different AV for triple threat badge."

And I was all set to use it - and it doesn't work in the trial.

Funny. My passive accolades work. And I was pretty sure the click accolades worked too - but I never saw much utility out of them, so I can't be sure.

In any event, that's a darn shame. It might have been good to avoid the crackle from Tyrant, too, although the recharge is too long to use it for both purposes.

I don't wish to complain...but..why would the powers that be opt to disallow this to work in an iTrial?

First ward Anna Palatine Story arc, i used the mark and recall accolade to take  all 5 of the rescued soldiers to the exit in the The tunnels of the Forlorn mission

Recall got us all to their exit which i'd marked before freeing them.

Aeon SF Mission 1:  ONE person with mark and Recall goes in, preferably with some serious stealth or else tank with super speed,  they talk to Becky and thus Becky is following.  They then zoom ahead of her to the last level and mark the terminal you need to take her to.  Remember she cant be killed in this mission.  They then run back to her and restore the tether and then hit the accolade and she will warp with you to the terminal.   Rest of the team now enters and proceeds to take down the targets.  However remember that  the boss in the mission must be defeated for the terminal to start glowing, then she will speak her dialogue when at the terminal and thus return later in the SF for the team to get her badge.

Ghost Widow Patron Arc #3: easily the most annoying arc due to all the kidnap missions.  I always do this arc first to get it out of the way.

Mission 1: free an operative and the mission ends, NOT an escort mission so mark and recall not needed

Mission 2, 3 and 4: all kidnap missions and thus all benefit from mark and recall.  Warning: 10 minute recharge on the accolade, so if you are doing the arc in real time and not via ouroborus you can quickly enter and leave the arena between missions to instant recharge the power (normal feature of the arena). If you are doing the arc via Ouro then you must wait the 10 minutes for the recharge as you can't use the arena in TF-flashback mode.

Mission 5: purge the map of all targets

Mission 6: final mission, kidnap mission,  use mark and recall
