DrRocket Posted October 1 Posted October 1 To go from T1 to T4 it effectively cost 68 Emps, just keep this as a reference. Currently to make a T1 you have to have and combine common incarnate materials to assemble, then you add a few more stuff and get a T2, and so forth till you arrive at T4. To make a T1 you would need 3 emps for instance. So when you trying to make the T1/T2/T3/T4 besides given the choice to combine incarnate materials, give an Emp equivalent like for T4 the equivalent would be 68, if you have that many and click it, then your T4 is unlocked and 68 emps deduced from your total inventory Of course if you have like tier 2s already available, then the merit equivalent of them is deduced from the 68. Any thoughts? As always, please let this be a learning opportunity Regards 2
Rudra Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Or, you know, just do the conversions to materials and combine them to make the incarnate abilities as you go instead of waiting until you have 68 merits to get it done. Which also gives you the ability to use said incarnate abilities even before you get them to the full T4 power. 3 1
Laucianna Posted October 1 Posted October 1 You also gain threads which is the better way to build T1 and T2 components 💛After that you still have the option to run incarnate content for a random chance at one of the different tiers of components, some trials like Underground also guarantee a Tier 3 or 4 component 🙂 And as @Rudra stated you don't have to wait to build them as use their still very powerful lower tiers until you can get a tier 4, especially since you don't even need tier 4 for 99.9% of content in the game, only Speed running 4* really ❤️ Kheldian Guide ❤️ 🎖️ Friday Fashion Contest 🎖️ 🗒️Character Wiki🗒️Friendly reminder that no matter what anyone or anything is saying, you ARE loved AND valued in life no matter what.
tidge Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I'm thoroughly ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on the suggestion. I understand that "All Incarnate T4" can feel 'grindy', but it is not even in the same ballpark as it was on Live. My first instinct on the suggestion is that this sort of idea is one that would make alternate forms of 'grind' on Homecoming easier.(*1) I wouldn't use Empyrian merits for T1 or T2 components, I didn't even realize that was a a thing! I've always used Threads if I don't have components on hand. I typically don't even bother slotting Incarnates until a character joins a team doing some content that benefits from/requires having any. The Alpha slot is one of the few Incarnate branches I try to at least slot to a single T3, just to 'get moar performance', and even then I typically do enough TFs/Flashbacks that I'll have more than enough Shards to craft at least a T2 or T1 just from those.(*1) As mentioned earlier in the thread: There is so little content that would even require a T4 over a T3, and a majority of the game's content (everything below level 45) doesn't even allow the use of Incarnates at all. (*1) There is plenty of content that can grind Incarnate components as well as everything else the game has to offer (XP, Inf, drops, blah blah blah fishcakes)... and if you only want the Incarnate components (plus Empyrian merits!) entire Dark Astoria arcs can be run in about 10 minutes for pretty much all ATs. 2 2
Greycat Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I'm ... "eh" on it? I mean, I've got enough characters with piles of emps and threads (and even shards) I don't even pay attention to. On the one hand, sure, probably a decent shortcut (especially when making the other T3 to make a T4,) though that doesn't really take a lot of time. On the other... only real tangible downside I could think of is support requests when someone accidentally makes something, especially high tier, they didn't actually want to. *shrug* Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? Vanden Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Getting all T4s is already way too easy. The balance of the 45+ game is completely screwed as it is. 1 2 A Cheat Sheet for efficient Endurance Recovery slotting Invention Set Designer Tool Spreadsheet with every Ancillary Power Pool

As a clarification, I also meant for the intermediate T1, T2, and T3 tiers to be accomplished this way as an alternative as well 1
golstat2003 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 No need. It’s already very fast to get incarnated out. We shouldn’t be making it faster. 2
mistagoat Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I can see some value in the suggestion, however I think it would have pretty niche use. I assume that most folks are building incarnates gradually so building up to a t3/4 from zero is probably not super common. This would be very handy on that troller you've had Incarnate'd forever and played the crap out of so it has lots of incarnate salvage or lots of Emps and you want to try a different Lore. Then being able to bypass the early stages of crafting would be a convenience but only a minor one. Uun Posted October 1 Posted October 1 There's no reason to use emp merits to craft T1 or T2 salvage. Threads drop from running all content, plus you get a bunch every time you level. Realistically, you shouldn't need more than 8 emp merits to craft a T3 component or 46 to craft a T4. You can also run the DA story arcs or the Incarnate TFs/Trials, which grant a salvage table reward upon completion. Uuniverse

The materials still take time to collect. Plus, @Uun has a point - the OP's talking solely about using Empyrians, which isn't particularly cost or materials effective. 1 Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits?
