Yes, this is tongue-in-cheek.  Stop.  Breathe.  I just need to draw (serious) attention (again) to this (valid) objection so I'm now using tasteless humor.  Now continue...

My toons are either Vigilante or Rogue.  That's just the way I roll.

But when I'm a Vig and I'm in Pocket D I get this *extremely* annoying popup (attached) when I attempt to exit to ATLAS PARK!?  Excuse me?  Am I not blue enough?  This happens in the Midnighter Club too, when I attempt to exit to one of the available blue zones!  This is discrimination on the basis of color!  It's that simple.

The same goes for when my toon is Rogue.  *Every* zone that is "Blue Supremasist" or "Red Supremasist" is racist against Vigilantes and/or Rogues.

Regardless of your offense against my tasteless (but extremely funny to the "right" people) humor, this is a valid objection.  The pop-up is annoying.  So, while this post is tongue-in-cheek (remember I said that?) I would appreciate it if I could simply do what any blueside/redside "pure blood" would be allowed to do and never experience it.  I'm willing to compromise with Vigilantes experiencing this pop-up when entering red zones and vice-versa, But "come on, man!?"  What made it necessary in the first place?  Just answer that *one* question.  Give me a good answer and I will erase the contents of this post faster than...  Well...  As fast as I can (editing the original post to ensure context is maintained from the answer, of course.)

If you've read this far without banning or reporting me, I appreciate your patience!  And I beg your forgiveness if I've offended you.  No, seriously.  I just wanted awareness of a real problem.

@Super Whatsit

Superbase passcode (Excelsior) is "passcode-6475"

It's all a Nemesis plot.  But not everything is a Nemesis plot!

Well, to be fair, as a rogue or vigilante, you can go to either side. So making sure that is the side you want to go to rather than the other side does make sense to check for.

Yea, same thing happens if you exit the midnight club.

They need to add an option such as the "Hide Cooperative Zone" Dialog.

If you're able to go, then click on the door is a clear indicator that you want to go. There's no need for an additional pop up to confirm it as you won't be attacked upon immediately setting foot on the other side. If you did click by mistake for whatever reason, you can always turn around and go right back into the Pocket D entrance.

This is one of the reasons why, some months ago, I made the suggestion to remove the "are you sure?" confirmation popups from the zone transfers other than to the PvP zones. First, there's nothing useful that they do except force an extra mouse click when, as you say, you've already told the game you want to change zones (I have the same issue with the program Process Explorer, which has a 'do you really want to restart?' confirmation, just to make sure I didn't accidentally click on File, then click on Shutdown, then click on Restart). Second, the confirmation prompt is inconsistently applied. RWZ is a coop zone, and you get the confirmation when going red- or blue-side if you are not full villain/hero -- but if you go from RWZ to a base, and then use a base portal to go red- or blue-side, you just transport to the zone. Similarly, leaving Ouroboros doesn't have any confirmation prompts, nor does the TUNNEL system -- you just aren't given the option to travel to a zone you're not a proper alignment for. Removing the prompts altogether streamlines play a bit for the people who play characters of more... flexible... alignments.

And of course you misunderstand the reason for my post. The OP had asked for a reason why the popup was there. I gave a reason why it could be there. On previous threads about this, I never argued against taking away the popups, so obviously I am not against removing the popups. However, a possible reason why they may exist was asked for and I gave a possible reason.

That reason is outdated and the pop up should go away

I think this sums things up nicely.  No need to delve into the why's or wherefore's regarding the popups or their deeper meanings;  Give us an option to hide them going forward, and be done with it...

As long as they can do it without making it yet another chore for Null the Gull. That birdbrain is already overworked. If that had to be the case, it would be better to skip the option and just remove it.

It gets worse.  On Goldside when entering certain doors (especially Underground) you get this "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS DOO???"

I Fing clicked it didnt I?  For the twelfth time today!  I swear, these folks give me apoplexy...

I can't say for sure, but I have a sneaky suspicion that, when the original developers added side-switching for the Going Rogue update, they still wanted to see the game populated with just heroes and villains, with Vigilante and Rogue being alignments that a character passed through on their journey from Hero to Villain and vice versa, and not destinations in their own right that a character would remain in for extended periods of time to get access to both sides in order to take advantage of things that are more accessible on one side or the other (i.e., the CoT bosses around the island in Sharkhead for the Weed Whacker badge). As bits of encouragement, they put various speed bumps into the game play for these fence sitters, like the zone travel confirmation and the "Maybe if you were more like me" dialogs forcing them to team with a full villain/hero to do regular missions on the 'other' side.

Never willingly go through the doo... spandex is remarkably hard to clean after all. Who knew?

If going to space for 11 minutes makes you an astronaut, then I'm probably an expert gynaecologist.

When I'm on teams and the mission takes us through sewers, I have to restrain the urge to have my character bitch about it, with comments like "Do you have any idea how hard it's going to be to get all this out of my costume?", or for the characters whose concept is being a robot/android or having a sealed breathing system "I can only imagine what it must be for the rest of you having to smell all of this." (And the obligatory theft from The Empire Strikes Back: "And I thought they smelled bad on the outside.")

I liked the popup the *first time* you went to "the other side". It was cool and made it impactful. But that should be a one-time popup that never shows again after.

I have also done this.

I also have occasionally blamed random team mates for farting in the elevators in building missions, which often raises the hilarity level, albeit only to schoolboy level.
