Techwright Posted Tuesday at 12:22 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:22 AM The Doorbuster Badge: Destroy 100 Force Field Doors, Magical Barriers or Reinforced doors. I do a lot of TFs having the required doors, and since 2019 I've never seen anyone interested in working towards this badge. How come? I realize a great many players are not "badgers" but I'd have thought I'd see someone ask the team to take out a few doors in the Yin TF police station, or the Council jail doors in Moonfire TF. Something like that. 1

Something like that. there is a remarkably easy, and of course boring, way to get this badge. find a mission with jail cells that lock you up on defeat. i prefer the longbow cells. pretty force field doors. and Longbow does not have guards in the room. once you hit reveal and realize you got the right map, stealth to the jail. kill all doors. relax. grab a coffee. now. log out, and back in. the mission has reset. repeat 12 times for 96 doors. and then one more time for 4.

Neither do the Council, at least back in the cell area; the room that the cells are hung off of have six locations where mobs can spawn, although running solo you generally see spawns at only four of them.

Only a driven badger cares about ones like this and usually those so driven do so on their own instead of enlisting tf runners to take time out of their tf's do it, especially on the ones people prefer to do expeditiously. Bit silly really.
lemming Posted Tuesday at 04:07 AM Posted Tuesday at 04:07 AM Labyrinth runs tend to collect a few since we need to blow down the prison doors there since more Fogs collect on that floor.

Something like that. Honestly, even when I'm running normal missions with someone I consider to be badge wh.... errr.... badger, they don't seem interested in taking down the doors even when I suggest it. Those Council bases - with what 10-12 doors? - seem to be prime for this, but they seem to get bored so easily. Yet the same player will take time to travel around zones to get all the explore badges. And I agree, I've never seen anyone take time to try to take down doors other than myself in the PD basement part of the first Yin TF mission. 2 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
Scarlet Shocker Posted Tuesday at 09:30 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:30 AM I didn't know that it was a thing but it doesn't seem to be a very important badge... does it give an actual benefit? It seems to be something that you'd accumulate over time without having to make a special effort. It's not like the Spelunker or such where it's necessary for some other thing unless I'm missing something If going to space for 11 minutes makes you an astronaut, then I'm probably an expert gynaecologist.

Ridiculous Girl Posted Tuesday at 11:21 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:21 AM there are 6-10 jail doors, inside the police station, in the first mission on penny yin tf... probably the easiest and most convenient to run, solo or in a small group. in the arron thiery arc, which is very short, though it caps at level 7, after several easy kill and destroy missions, the final mission also has a bunch of jail doors, 6-8 again. along with "savior of atlas park" badge and 3 merits to boot. 1 "I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours" the Cheshire Cat "Ce n'est rien de mourir; c'est affreux de ne pas vivre" (It's nothing to die, it's terrible not to live) Jean Valjean "وطن المرء ليس مكان ولادته و لكنه المكان الذي تنتهي فيه كل محاولاته للهروب” (Home is not where you were born, home is where all your attempts to escape cease.) Something like that. Run Mayhem missions. You can work on all the Mayhem badges at the same time. The police station basement prison has plenty of doors. 2 Night Pixie on Excelsior Introduction to Arachnos Widows - Night/Blood/Fortunata

The room that has the upper level to the left where you've got a bunch of random civvies, an Arachnos boss, and Matthew Habashy on the ground? It's got six force-field doors on each of the left and right sides, and I believe three on the back on the wall behind the civvies (and one of the doors explodes through the civvies when you destroy it; isn't plot armor wonderful?). Yes, all of them count toward Doorbuster; I routinely go through Matthew Habashy's, Sondra Costel's, and Aaron Thierry's arcs with new heroes to get the 'Saviour of Atlas Park' badge at the end. 1
drgantz Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:24 PM I was in Yin. At the end of the first mission, there is a room with several doors. I asked everyone to stay and help destroy them with me, but they all left. If they all stayed, we could have finished them quickly 2

What I've seen is that, on any mission against the Council in a TF, the rest of the team is virtually always going to be too fixated on completing the mission and getting out to rush to the next one to even consider taking the additional time to clear the doors in a gaol in the base. 1
