OverkillEngine Posted Saturday at 03:51 AM Posted Saturday at 03:51 AM (edited) I usually only use the attacks if super low level and I don't have a good chain yet. Then off the tray they go. Defensive powers and summons also get removed from the trays until I run into content that I am having issues with, like a nasty EB on a build that isn't natively strong against EB's. At most I keep a single flight type temp power on my trays on non-flight characters for missions where you basically NEED flight or face massive inconvenience. I generally don't bother actively seeking them out - a post IO game means they are largely not needed nor super valuable. Edited Saturday at 03:51 AM by OverkillEngine

I am paralyzed by this farfetched, hypothetical scenario where the team is down, AVs are looming and some random temp power I picked up 8 months ago is the key to victory. I also save and hold onto things "just in case" irl so maybe it's indicative of some kind of issue. The P2W grenades and envenomed dagger I throw like candy at a parade... so I'm not a miser... but I never use anything I get from a mission unless it expires by time. I recently picked up a nova style power somewhere with 10 uses AND a timer and I agonized over every use. On my current project to solo every contact red/blue/gold i have collected untold numbers of temps. I kind of wish i could organize them. Because yes, i do “hoard them”. This is not unusual for me. It does get extreme on this type of project though. I do use rechargeable P2W temps. The only time i have used temps like this are in very rare fights when we small teaming a Khan (or was it a cuda?) and the army of pets i could summon made a real difference. I have tried this on a LRSF and usually the heroes just obliterated the pets. I used to hoard inspirations and my biggest powers when i started the game years ago. I am better about understanding where/when to use them now. Most of the temps are kind of useless. The pets can (sometimes) help.
Player2 Posted Sunday at 08:33 PM Posted Sunday at 08:33 PM On Live, I had a pixie with every temp I could find. She was a controller, but I used her to scrap, tank, blast, and defend.
Bio-Link Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM yes but not by choice, i just forget to use em
Doomguide2005 Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM My latest Empathy has a whole mess of summonable pets. Amy, War Wolf, Vanguard Heavy, p2w PPD Hard Suit, p2w Sig Summons (States). Ironically I have yet to grab a Shivan. The PPD is a little underwhelming, but that War Wolf buffed by AB, Fort, and Auras is a wrecking ball!
twozerofoxtrot Posted yesterday at 08:42 AM Posted yesterday at 08:42 AM On my power tray and set to Auto Cast (or toggled on) until used up.

Most of the time, I don't ever use mission-drop powers unless it is a summons and, yeah, then I use them when there is some big bad that is kicking at team's butt. Honestly, I don't even use the day accolade power from https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Gladiator_Badge unless I'm in that same sort of situation, and I could go recharge that by just parking in an arena or PvP zone ... but I would rather be parked to get time on https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/D.U.S.T._Ranger_Badge If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
