When you log in to play - do you set a time limit? A goal to reach, and then log off? Or do you just play until you're exhausted?

I ask because I've been on a theme team over the past month or so, and when we meet up, we'll do some tip missions to give folks time to log in and attend, and then generally do a weekly TF/SF. Now, these folks don't generally speed; they like to kill things in the way, if not the whole map. I don't mind, as it's generally fast enough. But after 90 minutes, I've usually had enough. But some of these folks continue for who knows how long.

How long do you folks play when you play? During the day, I generally have one account open, and maybe the character is literally just standing in the hollows for a badge. Or maybe I'm sneaking in a tip mission or two en route to getting mark & recall between real life work duties. But it's rarely me sitting down for more than an hour; I'm usually getting a cup of coffee, or using the phone for work while I'm on my stationary bike.

I'm just curious.

During the week, I only have time for around 90 minutes.

On weekends, I plan to play the entire day nonstop, but usually start to get uncomfortable after around 3 to 3 1/2 hours, so I end up taking a break.

Which I guess is a good thing, or my whole weekends would be spent playing COH

Back in the day the longest consecutive session I played in was an ~18 hour Shadow Shard TF run. But I was consistently on for 6+ hours most evenings.

These days my playtime is very much limited by my RL responsibilities. Between being on call for work and running around after two young kids it's very rare that I get an uninterrupted stretch longer than an hour.

on my days off i will log in most of the day.  but i may run 15-25 missions towards my "big goals"  or less.  the rest of the time i am eating, playing chess, doing laundry, studying german, chores...yuck.

i wish i could game all night with a kill all team, that is the fun part for me. but i am on a tough schedule.  until i win the lottery and can a new castle!

Whenever I did log in, it was usually for about 30 minutes give or take? Or maybe 45 if im people watching.

It was too sporadic to say how often though, as sometimes it would be twice in a week, or recently 3+ months since my last log in.

That was my stance a few months ago as of the new year at least for live servers.

Now, I hop on the beta whenever a new page is put to Closed beta and test whatever new set or big thing is added, then don’t play for 6+ months other than to on a lark out of sheer boredom do a radio maybe, and log off.

Typically log in at 5 to get a spot in the Abyss for hami, invites at 5:30, over by 6, then I meet a buddy and we play till 8ish, maybe a little later on the weekends. So 2.5-3 hours most nights.

I used to play for literally hours on end I was so invested in the game. Now, usually a couple of hours tops.

I do sometimes find that I'll get a scheduled activity down but after that's done go off and PUG somewhere on a different toon, just for gits and shiggles.

If I play for 3 hours even on a weekend that's quite a bit for me these days

I've been pretty busy with work, family, and professional development lately, so my play time has been scarce, I think I played a couple weeks ago, but couldn't tell you what toon I was playing or what I was doing. When I do get a chance to play, and choose to play CoX I try to aim for around 60 minutes. Sometimes there's more time available or less time available..

My wife teaches ESL during the weeknights online so those nights are pretty free for me. I'll weave some COH time during the week, usually a couple hours in a night a night or three a week. On the weekends, it's never the same thing twice. I've finished everything I thought I had to do, sat down, logged in and immediately had to log off because I thought I'd finished everything...until someone proved me wrong. I've also sat down on a Saturday morning and played until the evening.

i tend to only play if friends are online and we’re on voicechat. more of a digital livingroom thesedays whilst playing through a few TFs

I usually have 60 minutes before work, sometimes I can stretch that to 90 minutes. After work, it depends on my household chores and evening activities. I can usually sneak in about 2 more hours before daily exhaustion sets in. This makes it hard to coordinate with on-line pals. On weekends, I usually try to stretch the morning session further, and then come back for some more time if I've done what I RL wanted to do for the day.
