Xalon Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Crey have some really cool and varied enemy types. Not sure if its Crey or Malta, but those solider/ninjas with the forearm blades that glow green, Those are awesome looking enemies! And Luska. Love that raid.

Probably not happening anytime soon, but for a tech-based hero, an arm mounted point of origin for the blasts would be awesome for nearly every blast set. 2 .

The Praetorian ones bother me a lot. Before I knew much about game mechanics, fighting Anti-Matter's Clockwork was brutal for my broadsword/invulnerability scrapper. I'm getting swarmed by dozens of menial laborers named things like "Vacuum" and "Scrub" who each hit me with ranged (not high ranged defense) energy (not high energy resistance) attacks that debuff my defense. I'm being destroyed by, literally, a bunch of scrubs. 1 Who run Bartertown?

Yeah, too bad we have to fight the cheesy Praetorian knock-offs in the higher level missions that aren't supposed to be in Praetoria (heck, even if they are supposed to be in Praetoria!) Calling the Praetorian Androids "clockwork" is an insult to true clockwork! We need to have an invasion even where the Praetorian Androids show up on Primal Earth and start attacking .... only to get attacked minutes later by the real Clockwork with Babbage and a Paladin lead by the Clockwork King and Penny Yin! Have the Praetorian Androids swarm out of the portals in the Portal Corps building, make their way out to Peregrine Island proper, and start trying to "clean up" everything in sight to proper Praetorian "cleanliness". Then, moments laterTM, the REAL Clockwork come swarming out of the ferry and start heading for Portal Corps (battling all that get in their way) for the huge battle with "fake" clockwork ... I mean ... Praetorian Android hordes! Glorious! Edited August 12 by UltraAlt 4 1 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.
BurnTheWitch Posted August 15 Posted August 15 Clamor. Full stop I don't care about her abilities, because that isn't what clamor is about. Clamor is a design masterclass on how to design violent creeps. Sure, the claw is a little over the top in todays popular aesthetic, I'd make is smaller and more skeletal if I was designing her today; but the piercings, the bright purple leather, the wild hair and general proclivity for being an agent of unhinged violence all make her a great underboss. And the safety pins. *chef's kiss*. Every time I'm in a Yin and someone new has never done it before, they always mention how grotesque/ insane/ malignant they are. 10/10 1
legendaryjman Posted August 17 Posted August 17 I am partial to the Winter Lord. They may not be the coolest but I have a very distinct memory of being amazed the first time I saw Sky Raiders on live. I was shocked that there was more enemy types than just Skulls and Hellions. For some reason I just didn't think there would be new enemy types introduced as one leveled up. The first time I saw a Porter just zip away I thought, "Ok, this game is legit."

OmegaOne Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago (edited) For an individual character, I'll go with Dr. Vahzilok. I still remember the first time I ran into him way back in the day during a random low-level story arc and had to broadcast to get help to deal with him. What a crazy design - a half-naked Dr. dude sticking out of the chest of a giant machinegun-armed meat suit. Rularuu and his "fragments" (Faathim, Lanaru, etc.) all have a cool design too. In terms of a whole faction, I like the look of the Praetorians/IDF. Edited 20 hours ago by OmegaOne
Navy Spider Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago As a hero I dislike all the baddies and don't see any of them as "cool". However, the Rikti are well-designed and probably my favorite to clash with.

Sakura Tenshi Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Depends a little on specifics: Concepts and lore: Freakshow and Sky Raiders are great thugs and generic mercenaries who can be slotted into about any plotline as hired muscle or pawns for about any other group. Definitely could stand to have their ranks expanded though to fit their flexibility. Fashion: PPD (SWAT and Power Armor cops are sexy as hell) and Rikti (God, I love the Tron-lines on their armors and wish we could get some version fitted for a player's body) To actually throw down with: Tsoo. I tend to make a lot of martial arts and swordsman characters so facing other martial artists is always a treat. Black Knights are in a similar spot though they're a bit too rare encounters in the greater game. Mechanically favorite: Blackwing Industries. Major recency bias but I definitely appreciate the efforts of the Devs to make a more mechanically interesting high-end opponent to face.
