Excessive Halloween events

I know its Halloween and all but I feel like the zombies and supernatural activates content is overwhelmingly taking over the random event content that makes this game fun for me.  Been in the game for 1 hour and seeing the same 2 events take up 90% of the random event content frustrates me.  Stack that on top of the mass amounts of Eochai and Jack an iron spawns in nearly every map, makes merit farming extremely easy and little reason to leave IP or AP for merits..  With all this and the ever-present  Trick or Treat power leveling in IP I feel that there is not much room for anything but the Halloween event.     

5 days of  playing after taking nearly half a year off from the game,  and I'm already burned out on this event.  
Just providing my opinion and feedback on the event thus far.

A lot of people seem to enjoy it and while I'm taking part in some of it, it's just to grab the prismatic on chars who are new this year, and filling in badges for a few others.  Then it's easy to ignore.   (I have a separate tab for zone events)

I'm not saying its not fun.  But i for one like variety in my game session, and the random zone events usually provides that chaos.

well, the server heard your unkind words and took itself offline. i hope you’re happy

You know, that was the first thing i thought too after the server went down. lol
I was like , Damn girl it was just feedback no need to go full on meltdown mode because someone said one bad thing about you.

The server is just like my wife,  Can't share my opinion without a full on toddler tantrum.

I've tried telling her she's parity,  told her she gets to pick what we watch on Netfix tonight, even got her her favorite snakos.   I hope that's enough. 
May have to break out the big guns with foot rubs and making her tacos for dinner.

That explains why the server sometimes purses its lips, looks straight ahead and won't talk to me.

Going back in the original subject for the moment...

 

I have absolutely no problem running non-Halloween content during the event. 

 

Iin the last 3 days I have:

• Joined multiple PUGs running random missions
• Did a 4x Hami raid
• Prepared for a MSR, but had to log before it started due to RL
• Ran 2x TinPex
• Ran a Yin TF

And that's all in addition to the thing anyone can do at any time,  solo.

 

So,  there's still plenty to do IMO, it may take a little longer to fill teams but you don't have to run a full team for everything.

Try working retail around the holidays - all the xmas music on repeat will make you wanna gouge out your own ears!    Seriously, though - maybe only have the events pop off once, at the top of the hour, instead...

Dude didn't even have villain events on his Events tab! His complaint was missing an opportunity to amplify the grumble!

 

If the Halloween Event didn't have all these Halloween events going on people would be grumbling about that!

 

Me? I'd grumble about the opposition events channel being removed when switching sides!

could have just been the time of day not showing them, but i do keep it on too.
I did have to go double check because the example i gave didn't show Villian zone events and i was sure i had it on.

I believe that if you customize chat tabs the "other side" will stay. 

 

Like, I've got a custom chat for that loads with all of my new characters (or can be invoked with /chat_load)  one is the things it does is put all 3 event notifications in one tab.

Absolutely you can can do other things.  And I'm not saying I can't.  I just have more fun when its a random event.  like in a comic book the hero doesn't always get to choose how they get to save the day.  and its one of the main reason i play this game over other MMO's.

Nah. When you switch sides the opposition events channel is removed (wherever it might be).

 

No biggie - I have a PopMenu that reloads chat and settings for use after visiting the bird. It ensures that my own Events tab has ALL the channels on it.

Just spent about an hour failing to get a QF task force on Roc and Roll (No way am I going to try to run one of those myself, having never done it before that I can recall.  Was barely able to keep up on the Sara Moore I lucked into a couple days ago)  Taking a 420 and reading break out on the porch then will try again.

To be fair, that's less the fault of the Halloween event running and more the fault of whomever is trying to run a Dr Q when it's not the WST.

Yeah.  I figured that was also a major contributing factor.  Heck, just to get it over and done with, I would be more than happy to run that one (and Faathim) at -1

 

Surprisingly, the Moore I was on a couple nights ago actually went pretty fast, thanks to a generous amount of team transports and Assemble the Teams and such.

That got changed in a recent patch.   They don't get removed now. (Issue 28, page 2)

I'm understanding what the OP is feeling. I was in PI, trying to grab the Ostentatious badge for 50 costumes, and every 2 minutes or so, would get incan'd to fight jack or eochai. 

To me, that's a great interruption, and then I can click on the door without that stupid message telling me I can't enter. They really need to reduce the time allowed between clicks, or not let teammates take your click from you. Even solo, if a door has been clicked on, it seems you have to wait 10 seconds before you can click on it. It's the worst part of the event for me, that waiting. 

I think the easiest thing to do is just ignore it. Banner events and Zombie invasions are unlikely to have much of an impact on any non-halloween thing you're doing.
