Shouldn't we be using arcanatime on the .5 seconds? Since we're still talking about something that supposedly activates .5 seconds after the server registers that it's been clicked, using arcanatime would then calculate that .5 seconds up to .632 seconds for an uptime post click value for buildup of 9.312.

Edit: Side note on arcanatime. There's been mentions here and there that .132 is no longer an accurate value due to back end configuration changes. I've long wondered if the added overhead of virtualization is playing a role but I've no clue how to test it or how Arcana came to the conclusions she did all those years ago.

Thinking about this really hurts my brain but I think the arcana time has to be either part of the ATBE (animation time before effect) or split between the two.  Some of the scrapper chains I've managed to fit into the critical strikes window seem to work even though they are barely over by a fraction.

Had to remove some proc slotting in ice sword and frozen aura in order to get enough recharge for Zapp. Verdict is that freezing touch is an amazing power for ATO2.

Hello,

Might you share your build please ?

Why cross punch instead of ice sword ? Better dpa ?

Cross Punch is definitely an interesting little power.

I still don't get it. Every time I've grabbed it, it's left me thinking it does far too little for its cost.

Sometimes it's DPA and cast time is about the same/better then the power you would replace it in the chain with. And it is a cone, so it can take different slotting. And if the build is already taking tough/weave it's not a big jump to take it. But it can take the Fury -RES proc (this is a big one) and also take the +RCHG proc if you want to use that one.

Been there, done that.  It works in some cases.  I've used it a few other ways as well.  Just not often.

Unfortunately I lost the build file since I made that post, but I put it together the best I could remember.

As the others said, Cross Punch is mainly there for the -res. Ice Melee doesn't get achilles, so you want to find places to put -res. I chose to put FoTG in Cross Punch and Annihilation in Frost. This turned out to do a pretty decent amount of -res. The +rech and +tohit from Cross Punch is a huge bonus too, especially if you have both boxing & kick. It does way more for you than Ice Sword IMO. You still have Ice Sword in the build to use at lower levels, though.

This build is geared toward beating up a pylon. In a "real" build I would take Lightning Ball and throw a bunch of procs in Frozen Aura. I got a pretty good trapdoor time when I had it like that (video in trapdoor thread).

/buildsave and /buildsavefile kinda sorta work, or did last I used them.   It's frequently not importable, but it's usually close enough to read to recreate.

I definitely get Thermal and how it adds to that, how does Psy?

Wait, Thermal on corruptors is a little different than I thought. Heat Exhaustion and Melt Armor look pretty gross together. Combine that with Fire's damage. Add the last part of a high HP target's HP being affected by scourge...

I typically pick Psy for anything that cares about the single target attack chain for Dominate with 1 Acc/Dam 5 Damage Procs.

Yeah, large amounts of -regen appear to equate to high DPS.

I disliked Stone Armor so much (due to runners, seriously it's that simple) but enjoy Radiation Melee so much I wanted to try a thing.

Sounds fast AF for no Assault and for being non-/Bio or non-/Rad. I guess -res procs firing at the broken proc rate in Irradiated Ground completely mitigate the latter part?

My newish Kat/EnA is on the shortlist to test once its non-Lore Incarnates are done 🙂

RM benefits from procs a LOT, but I definitely know the ATO2 in Devastating Blow almost always going off is real nice. The chain I use is mostly DB - Snipe - RSiphon - RSmash. Sometimes that gets altered a tap, but that's the gist of it. I know @Pzn tried this combo with CS instead of RSmash and I wish I could remember how he liked it. If he takes a look at this build, it's pretty much the same as it was before, just altered a tap to get more Slow/Recharge resist. I was having zero issues clearing Infested DE at +4x8 with this guy last night, but that has everything to do with ENA and not relying on INSP. Honestly, I'm thinking of taking the Kismet +TOHIT out of the build and adding a Miracle Recovery. Once a Def Debuff hits I won't have an issue landing hits as it is, and the build has 30% global anyways. The lowest ST Debuff is 15%, so even that would be a straight up 15% increase to hit. Atom Smasher is 11% for it's AOE, so that's really nice.

Kat/ENA is a stupidly good combo. It can and will be fast AF for you. I've got a Kat/SR/ Kat/BIO, and Kat/Inv. You can guess which does the fastest DPS. I've given Kat/ENA a serious go on Brainstorm and it is REALLY good. Just as fast DPS as /INV and /SR, but you can definitely start averaging some real good speeds with Kat.

I used infrigidate, spectral, blind, spectral, mental blast. I try to not use mental blast depending on what other powers can be cast. Sleet and benumb are first priority when recharged. I could push ST DPS further if I was willing to give up proc'd psy nado and ranged softcap. I could swap Superior will proc into blind, build for more recharge, and switch to pyronic. Infirgidate has the new slow proc in it as well, everything is +5 (even though my mids shows +3), except the recharge IOs in spectral wounds to help it proc slightly more.

Bit of a late reply but an easy way to cheese /Cold on pylon tests is to take Burnout. Then you can just double stack Heatloss and Sleet at the start of the battle (-108 res).

Its how the /Cold MM got an 8 second pylon time.

Burnout can be used to cheese any pylon test which has sets with super long CDs but super high impact.

That's a great idea. This build is mostly a general game play build, it keeps softcapped ranged and proc'd psynado. If I were to build a pylon destroyer I would focus more on recharge and add burnout per your suggestion.

This is absolutely laffo and I honestly might make a thugs/cold MM on Brainstorm to see.

My only issue with Psi is that IW and the res Toggle are both fantastic but both the attacks are kinda bad stat wise.

Controller is kind of spoilt when it comes to PPP and AP, there are so many strong choices.

Most Controllers tend to be pretty decent defensively by their very nature, often having tanky pets with good buffing secondaries and CC. Most of the time I find I want more damage then yet another layer of protection on a character that already has multiple layers of defence yets tend to takes smaller amounts of attacks directly.

Sure you may get downed at times where a more tanky Controller would of lived but if you are moving 20-30% faster the rest of the time you end up way ahead.
