  1. On a Mind Controller, the "draw in and AoE immob" is a pretty big improvement over "push away", and the AoE damage from Levitate is the chef's kiss on top. Note that while using Levitate will turn off TK, the enemies will still stay immob'd for a few seconds, letting you get another containment-boosted AoE attack in. Also, if your anchor dies without you having used Levitate, you can still target them with Levitate to get the splash damage on the surrounding targets. The power still takes finesse to use, though. TK will try to keep foes 40-ish feet away from you, so it's not super easy to run into melee. Though you can use this to drag foes around, or even pull them into the air! It's fun =)
  2. Look in hc launcher for an option to "reset graphics on next run", and see what that does?
  3. Yeah, it takes next to nothing to make hundreds of bids for 1 inf to make demand look higher for an item. Which I'm sure people do (never post an item for 5 inf unless you're prepared to lose it for half the going rate)!
  4. The Blue room, love that it was finally "made canon" in the Peicemeal personal story, instead of a leftover novelty. But also agreed with the easter egg room in Faultline and the skyview dome in AP =)
  5. Oh oh oh, I think I've heard of this one! Try lowering your graphics settings; particularily turn off the experimental stuff, like cel shading or outlines if you have those on. Apparently the base editor doesn't play nice with them.
  6. Here I am still taking my time getting the "all one AT" badge on a single character. Kinda hate you, but that's just envy speaking. Congrats!
  7. Hellions: "All this for devil worship, really? Can't you just play Dungeons and Dragons like normal people?" Skulls: "Hey, my emotionally insecure teenage neice called, she wants her aesthetic back." Vhazilok: "I don't care how you dress it up, they're still just zombies; stop pretending you're clever!" Arachnos: "The thing with a Darwinian anarco-autocracy is lack of dental insurance; allow me to demonstrate why that's about to be a problem for you." Council: "What, no mummies?" Sky Raiders: "Is all this because someone took 'I beleive I Can Fly' too litterally?" The Lost: "Look, just tell me where you want to go and I'll teleport you there, there's no reason for all this!" Outcasts: "HEEEEYYYY-YAAAAHH, Heeeyyy yaaah!" Trolls: "U mad?" Maybe more later.
  8. Are you sure you're typing out the names correctly? Like maybe you have "Illusionary Lary" but one of those "L"s is an uppercase "i" (or vice versa) because someone else got the name first? And you're just so used to calling him what his name is SUPPOSED to be that you forgot which letter got swapped? Alternately, are you sure these aren't characters of yours on an alt account? Otherwise... idk =/
  9. Tell me you write Sally slashfics without saying you write Sally slashfics XD (also, say that sentence 5 times fast) Jk, but yeah, there's no "body", the Sally we see in game is literally just the head and neck; the flippers were added to the mini pet because the devs thought it looked cute. Guess it was easier than rigging an entire body? Idk.
  10. The only lore you need to know is that while everything is a Nemesis plot, everything is also really Marcus Cole's fault. =P But no, for reals, I think a lore subforum would be neat, too!
  11. One caveat here: ID's mez protection is NOT AoE, only the damage resistance portion. Unless that got changed, but the OG devs were pretty stingy about aoe mez protection until they introduced Clarion.
  12. *proceeds to sell everything for 1 inf* *flippers buy them all and relist* "Curses, foiled again!"
  13. For what it's worth, I already have the Wedding Band, and the arc gave me "Wedding Band (Echo)", which has a 5 minute total use time, instead of 2 hours.
  14. I thought the "all the same AT TF" badge was broken? Or did you luck out some how? Speaking of luck, I joined 3 TFs yesterday... no dice on diversity badge. Everyone else was playing blasters and scrappers, fml XD
  15. Wooooo Hooooo!!! Nothing to add, just super happy =)
  16. A bit late, but, I felt a bit weird answering 2-20 billion, as my total cash on hand is maybe 4 billion at the most, definitely on the low end of that option. Especially considering the relatively small range of some of the other options.
  17. So this is a couple weeks late, so, sorry about that! The only thing that really stands out to me is the chance for damage proc in Mass Comedy. The confuse powers in Mind Control don't cause agro, but procs going off DO. So if the boss(es) in the crowd don't get confused, you're gonna take some return fire, all just for a little bit of extra damage. Similair issue with the energy font proc in Mass Hypnosis. You put all the baddies to sleep, but the font is liable to start waking them up. I mean if you're just chasing set bonuses, then fine. But ideally, if you're gonna dedicate 6 slots to a power, you should be able to use it to its full effect; procs should make the power better, not work against it.
  18. Maybe a screenshot of what you're seeing may help?
  19. I don't have any objection to SoA having travel powers, BUT from a mechanical standpoint, they can be hard to fit into one's build, even if you skip several powers. Skip too many, and at some point, you're almost better off rolling a straight up dominator or stalker or mastermind. At least, that's been my experience with my Widow so far (just hit lvl 41 and the only pool power I've taken so far is Hasten)
  20. Well, I mean, on Live (HC-Live, not Retail-Live), if you kill the anchor, you kill the TK. On beta, the anchor dies, and TK STAYS ON. Without an anchor/target! But hey, free Containment damage, so, maybe I should avoid giving the gift horse a dental exam, eh?
  21. With the end cost going from 3 to 1, not a huge concern. But yes, i had the same thought and bought 10 of those =P
  22. Build 3 Not sure if this is a bug or intended, buuuut... If the TK'd target dies to something OTHER than Levitate (usually by dealing some damage to them before using TK and AoEs), the power stays active on the gathered foes, keeping them immobilized. Levitate doesnt seem to continue to do splash damage on these foes, though.
  23. So, New TK again. Even with the shut-off-on-hit now working (sort of, going to hit up bug reports in a moment), TK + Lev AoE is still an effective combo. Castellum Quarter, Cimerora, on my Mind/Kin. Using a set-up strat of Mass Hyp and Fulcrum Shift, I then fly above the crowd, hit TK, and follow up with Psinado, Terrorize, and Levitate. This USUALLY kills MOST of the +3 spawn. But then I spend a solid couple minutes picking off stragglers. This is a bit more effective than picking up Wall of Force from the Force of Will pool for a 3rd AoE. If I rearranged my build to fit that in, I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be much left of large spawns. That this is only a roughly once-a-minute combo is fine. If I'm on a fast moving team, this set-up takes too long and has too many points of failure, so I'll just keep doing what I always do: pew-pew with my single target attacks. It's not the hugest game changer, but DAMN does it FEEL good! There is ONE thing, though: I see the power grants the target a fly speed. Guess what happens if said target is immune to both immob and repel? THEY FLY UP AT ME AND STAB ME IN THE FACE! x_X
  24. TK: Honestly, if I could choose the higher end cost in exchange for the power not shutting down when Levitate is used, I'd do so. FWIW, with the auto shutdown at 30 seconds, the 3.1 end per second probably wouldn't drain an end bar on its own, so I think the cost is worthwhile for additional AoE damage. Additionally, TK+Lev'd foes now land on thier feet, negating the soft contol aspect of Levitate. So while I love the extra damage combo, I'm not sure that the powers also working against each other is warranted Still, I'll test it out and see how it feels, and post some proper feedback in the focused feedback thread.
