  1. Don't like this as a solution because it prevents high recharge builds stacking patches against really tough opponents like AV fights. I mean if things are dying so quickly then you don't need that patch. I much prefer knowing that in an AV fight I'm layering down a decent amount of -res. It seems like a solution to something which isn't a problem
  2. I've an Ice/Traps with fold space, arcane bolt and nu-stealth ready to go. I debated on Enflame too but on beta the damage still didn't seem to be worth it. That was pre the NoFlee change though.
  3. Nope, the cap hits 1st, then the Purple Patch / Level modifiers kick in. So it doesn't matter if you've 45% Def or 95% Def, that +4 enemy will be hitting you more than 5% of the time (7.5% I think for +4 Minions). Incarnate content is different. They essentiallly have a 12.5% ToHit bonus welded in (ToHit directly opposed Def hence why the Incarnate cap is 57.5%). So you can overcap to battle Def Debuffs or ToHit buffs but overcapping has no effect on Level modifiers.
  4. Some sets do, they're just old and showing their age. Empathy and Forcefield for sure. Probably Sonic and *maybe* Rad too. Doesn't have to be as extreme as the Trick Arrow changes but they do need modernisation IMO.
  5. All toggles should supress rather than drop. That won't "solve" mez (which is fine) but it'll make recovering from it less painful for some sets (like Nature). As for self-buffs and the like I'd be in the "yes but" camp, where you examine each on a case-by-case basis. Empathy and Forcefield probably need some form of self-buff when you cast certain powers. Not full strenght but a percent of what they're doing normally. One way to make Support more useful in 45+ content would be to stop Incarnate powers working other than when you're in Incarnate content, and maybe one or two endgame TFs like Ms Lib (of course then Support will give out that their Clarion got taken away).
  6. You get a 2 at the end. Renames are free and you can do them at the character selection stage. You can also drop a placeholder char or rename a character on your original server to reserve the name on the old server.
  7. What, what changes?
  8. I've been on a Traps binge at the moment. Have a Thugs / Traps mid 40s now, an Ice / Traps controller and road tested a Traps / Rad Defender as well on Beta. Here's the Traps/Rad build. Less defense than yours, but still at the melee & ranged caps happily. I also have a lot of procs and attacks slotted up and used the Dark Mastery pool for even more damage for quite an aggressive defender build designed to get in beside the tank, pull everything inwards and then debuff the crap outta them. Or, on small teams / solo set up a kill zone and pull things into it. I don't tend to use Purples or Winters sets as much as other folks, cos too many alts so if you're committed you can certainly eke more recharge out of it usingf those.
  9. Usually 1, to get slots where I want them at the end / suited to 50+5 IOs. But I've done up to 3 on some chars as I realised certain powers weren't working well or I could do things another way (my Kinetics corruptor). Occasionally changes once a patch comes out (some power gets much better or less attractive so needs to come in or be watered down / removed).
  10. Like say a Glue Arrow or Gravs immob..... 😞
  11. Yep, and I've said it from the off. Really cool effect; put into the wrong place. I'd have waited for a new Set (like Water Control) and plonked into a Placeable Patch in that set instead (call it Maelstrom or something, slow & -repel patch).
  12. Without wanting to disrupt the thread, like this. I even take a "dead" epic power so I can get Ice Armour (cos Ice Armour will let me slot the Resist set uniques for 6% more Def)
  13. That's not my point though. The point is for those of us who don't want that Singy has been turned into more of a knockback machine thanks to his new -repel
  14. My current is a Thugs / Traps with Fold Space and Burnout on the way. (Traps > Fold Space is my current obsession). Since they're my only villain that means I can solo happily, doing the Patch of Death thing > Folding a spawn into a Poison Trap / Trip mine combo then splatting them. On teams I just toebomb, standing beside the main tank to Fold Space things into a nice bunch.
  15. Issue is that can cost you a set bonus (Ranged def). If that's the expect behaviour for this change then the KD should be wired into Singy, which seems slightly wrong.
  16. This is my take too. Slightly irked by the fixed recharge on RoP now but the changes to everything else are pretty good, especially since Ward keeps its initial "save spike". My original point was "If you're doing this to RoP then the other powers need a buff, cos the Origin pool powers are kinda urrgh". That was done. Happy days. Now about Experimentation and the other one.... 😂
  17. It's a Pseudopet. Right-click your Combat Log tab, pick edit and choose all the Pet Combat options to add to it. Should show up then a bit like this : 2021-04-07 00:03:46 Poison Trap: You hit Juicer Freak with your Neuronic Shutdown: Chance for Psionic Damage for 45.63 points of Psionic damage.
  18. Well they did look at it previously and Fade got unaffected by PB. They could be planning it more broadly, but I'd bet if they did it'd probably need to be hand in hand with a general Forcefield pass (to reduce the sting and because let's face it FF needs a pass).
  19. The Critical Strikes one. It seemed (and "seemed" is the active word here) to to going off way less than expected for me. In a totally non-scientific "oh, I expected more from you" kind of way. Had a look in Mids and the Perfect Zinger is, as you say, the same as anything else there now. Not sure if it changed or what but about a year ago I tried it for a Bio/Spines Tank and could have sworn it was doing much less damage than anything else.
  20. Why the Perfect Zinger proc? Doesn't it do like 1/3rd of the damage of a normal proc? I assume you skipped the Purple because it's somewhere else? I put the "Chance to improve Crits" ATO into it yesterday but it didn't seem as effective as expected / compared to it in my Ice Scrappers Frost cone. I'll probably go with the 3 procs (Oblit, Erad & Scirros), two random Acc/Dams and the Dam from Oblit giving 188 damage according to Mids. Not amazing but fine for a bit of extra AOE.
  21. Ran one of these myself over the weekend with the Hounds of Love on Reunion. We started at +3 because I was only level 45 (a 50 lead it). At the end one of the others said "We should have done that +4". Turns out bar Mish 1 we did, our Leader popped it up a notch 🙂 Not sure of the complete team make-up, but my Grav/TA went from 45 to 50 (the 50 ding happened right at the end, doing the Towers after we'd splatted Rommie). I don't think I've ever seen the Seafood Ambush so relentlessly ground away. We just came back down the stairs through them inexorably, like a rising tide. Great fun.
  22. Yes, kb2kd makes a huge difference. Wormhole sends them flying away from you otherwise. With a kb2kd it becomes a "I got you these" power for that Tank/Brute/AoE Death Machine on your team whom you have a crush on. Plus it doesn't alert now either so you can throw other spawns into the mosh pit (really useful with debuff patches / Creepers / Rains / Oil Slicks) and be sure they don't go flying backwards out of it.
  23. I've used them on my old Thugs / Traps before, think I even had them bound to shift+mouse button for this. I'll happy shunt them from 49 to 28, swapping with the replacement-for-invis. Although I'm tempted to dump replacement-for-invis to Grant Invis for hiding my FFG. They're both one-slot LOTG mules anyway. Haven't even started them yet anyway, just got my Grav/TA to 50 and the Elec/Poison is early 40s.
  24. If you're looking to get your ingame build into Mids easily : Ingame do /buildsave This will create a file called build.txt in your CoH installation folder (mine is in coh\accounts\carnifax\Builds) In Mids do File > Open and open that build.txt file Your live build will pop into Mids, ready to be exported Words of warning : Most of your toggles will be off in Mids initially, so don't think your totals are way off. Just switch on the Mids toggles. Some enhancements might not show up in the build and show an error. Artillary was one set I reported to the Mids team and some SOs will also bug out. You'll just need to manually reinsert those IOs / IO Set.
  25. While I don't believe Armour Tier 9s are sacrosanct because PvP exists, and that certain sets really need them revamped (Elec Armour is NOT a strong set and does need a solid Tier 9) I really don't want to go down the Fixed Duration / Recharge as a solution to them either. The Ice Armour revamp was a good example of a good change. Give it a new power with a useful boost. I think the crap-no-one-loves-them tier 9s should have something similiar done on a case-by-case basis (What is thematic and would help bolster the set in general).
