My completionists when I have a street sweep, I log in a level 50 alt on my other account. Though that doesn't help as much with the arcs that have low population hunts. Auto complete is sometimes my answer.
Last month I replaced my router and before that was having some bad network issues that while I found evidence with other programs, CoX was the worst. I suspect it's more sensitive to network problems.
Did a heck of a lot more hiking and photography, though not sure if I upped the amount that much because of sunset.
Gaming wise, I volunteer programmed for Lacuna Expanse and helped keep it going for four more years before it shut down.
And then moved back to Oregon and reinvolved with a cat shelter. HC been working well for casual play since 2019.
There's a P2W in each tutorial.
Outbreak right in front of you when you start.
Going Rogue just to the right when you start. Transact for Victory, natch
Breakout is a bit obfuscated as Keister, but does show as a store in map.
Other than that, I'm not sure about the idea, but one could just run thru most of the game as a temp power user. Most I think use them more for flavor, though there are some that are situational useful.
My favorite easily recognized homage that got Generic'd was Heltor Skeletor. Costume was a little too spot on. π
And my Claws/Regen Scrapper that was on live, not a wolverine clone, more a homage to Hell Cat, though also from 20 years as a champions character.
Maybe a new currency?
Everyone being changed to gray scale 2 dimensional?
Architect Entertainment being changed to Archaeology Enterprises where instead we'll go dig out tickets from ancient ruins.
A bit different from the ferry service between Talos & PI, but there is a sub that goes between Port Oakes, IP, Sharkhead, Striga, PI, Kallisti Wharf, Grandville, Moster Island, and The Abyss
Yep. I was talking specifically the PC game that was being worked on, and the character creator that came out of it.
I used to have every supplement, etc... for Hero thru the end of 4th edition. (Decent number of later supplements, just didn't go full complete...)
I hung out with the Hero Software folk who had introduced me to Champions in 1981.
There was the first printing of the BBB (which had some binding issues from what I recall), a second one that held together, and a bit later came the one with the Hero Maker software. That was the Deluxe version that came out a little later. My memory is spotty, but the SW at the internet archive says 1993.
Totally different code base. The newer one does both 5th edition & 6th edition and is portable over many platforms.
The old one, Hero Maker, you can run via dosbox and other emulators.
The Original Champions PC game was late 80s and the floppy disk with the character creator that came with an edition of the BBB (Perez cover) It's the only software that came out of it. The game itself you can find listed as vapor ware.
Development was Hero Games (though I think it was a separate entity and most of the people doing development were ones I knew in college) Host of reasons it didn't happen.
PPUE is Paragons & Protectors, Ultimate Edition. It's a good TTRPG
Are you running his missions at +4/x8? The Mu'Vork fight with him can be a bit tricky with that ambush, etc... Some of my chars can solo that level, others have to do it at base. (And mostly the ones that can do the max, went thru that arc ages ago since they're maybe level shifted once by then)
Knowing the people who were coding the original Champions PC Game, yes, very complex and at least we got a character creator out of it... iirc, you can get the source code for the newer Hero Designer, I think that's all java.
But yea, no intersection between Champions MMO and the Hero Rule set. 6th edition didn't have any rules based on the mmo, etc... Just lore stuff went back and forth. (Of course, the last I had a hell of a lot of contact with Hero system people was before a bunch of the involved people moved over to more PPUE stuff.)
Not sure, my guess is a graphics driver is having issues with what CoH is trying to do.
Operating System, Graphics Card, and a few other variables would need to be known for proper diagnosis.
I think the diagnostics client may help point to what is going on and maybe there's a setting that will at least avoid the issue once known:
