I just cant seem to get excited about Storm Blast.. am I alone?
lemming replied to Heatstroke's topic in General Discussion
To die. In the rain. Alone. I wasn't as thrilled with my Storm Blast Blaster, but I'm enjoying my Storm Blast/Dark sentinel. And weirdly effective in helping others tear thru hard targets. -
It's one of the first things i do, that and buy reveal. Smalls just don't do it for me

The game isn't playing the game, it's how you play @Snarky in a PUG
-
I rarely buy inspirations. Usually it's when I've screwed up enough and need to buy some extra purples to get past a more difficult than expected mission, and usually that's when I'm solo. Often while playing, I'll be converting groups of three into red for more DPS unless it's a build that needs something else. Early builds, usually blue... If I'm popping a bunch of greens, I've miscalculated something. However, I'm often full up on inspirations, they do drop enough that it's rarely an issue. Most often I use some for a buff before a big combat.

Decent advice for those who use your style of play. I find flexibility in play style is usually needed, especially with PUGs. I try to get an idea of the builds of my teammates with a info check. Different when you play with people you know as well. Voice chat can help there. And some of those work for some of my characters. Unless it's a run where defeats aren't allowed: 4) That's why you slot up Rise of the Phoenix. You're never more dangerous than when you're dead. 😄 And there's a lot of learning in getting debt. Stress testing your builds, though try not to take down a team when you do so. Also, keep a supply of awakens in email. I used to email Bounce Backs and Restorations to myself, but wound up collecting too many. Now I just sell off Bounce Backs and just keep a supply of Restorations. Helps if you have Teleport Target and can supply those to teammates on occasion. (Though there are powers available via dayjob & p2w for that, or even actual power sets...)

My goal for my blasters is to blast

That's my favorite combo of Sentinel so far. Been playing a Storm Blast/Dark sentinel and it's going to take a bit of tweaking. Mainly because I have no idea how currently. 😄 Other than being End hungry it's a fun combo.

A wedge of cheese would be a welcome reaction.

Wow. Did a Posi 1 the other day, I forget the composition, I was on my Storm/Dark sentinel, and there was a MM that was the first target for the doppelfight. One of the smoothest Posi1s I've done with a PUG. I did find you can teleport to the ambush door without triggering. Pretty sure the trigger area is the top of the steps. You can avoid the cutscene and free A by teleporting past the threshold of the doorway too. Not that saves you anything since you have to trigger the scene to get the doppels to show up.

Another theory is that the next page will instead of a moon base, it's in Bulgaria! Fighting Ramen smugglers who use accordions. This fight will be beamed via satellite to all televisions dominating all!

I don't see it any different than current. All it's doing is instead of these steps: 1) Click on name to send a tell 2) Type "Can I join your team?" 3) Wait for results to 1) Click on name to send a tell with the message "Can I join?" 2) Wait for results Someone can easily spam currently and probably get put in the ignore category after being reported.

I have a SB/Cold Corrupter that has worked pretty well despite not being slotted very well yet. Works well in support, so I don't really feel the need to be a main dmg dealer. My Storm/Dark Sentinel (Was going to be regen, but Dark fit the concept way better. Sorry @Snarky) isn't bad. My only complaint is the end management, but that's being worked on. So far, not my sturdiest, but still figuring out the build. Damage wise when not in a steamroller team, very noticeable. On a steam roller team, provides a cool atmosphere. 😄

Speaking from experience, being able to just go "Hey, let's not talk about that" is a lot easier and bias free. -
I think I'll be using Ramen as a substitute for a popcorn emote.

You feel the need to sit down and watch some television. You hear there's a great show on over in Grandville.

Now on to the suggestion. Ask to join: Might work, not much different from the send tell without the extra step of typing E-Mail Global; Would be handy. So would send tell to global. (Sometimes while cycling thru chars, it helps to do that so they can still reply to you)
-
Yes, they work. I use them often. Usually when a SG mate joins a team that is recruiting and it's easier to do that then type /tell NameSpelledOddly, etc...

Did Paragon City Ban any cars made after 2013 or so?
lemming replied to Zep's topic in General Discussion
It's true. Manny's is just an empty shell, no wonder it's boarded up. -
I think this is what is causing the discrepancy. I think if everything sold/bid went thru, you'd get 197 again adding sold + bought

The discussion is probably restricted because someone would have to monitor said discussion to make sure it doesn't go off the rails. It's the same reason they don't want other topics discussed in the chats because there are people who debate in bad faith and it's a headache to monitor. -
The experience of a returning player having to re-learn the ropes.
lemming replied to crimson72's topic in General Discussion
The new Dr Stribbling arc gives 20 merits per run, and for the badge, it's five runs. I got the time down to less than 15 for a run though it could be done quicker. No time limit that I saw, but I also think the 20 merits is the initial reward, so the Dev team will probably reduce that a bit. (Maybe drop it to 10 once you have the relevant souvenir to the choice) Dr Q: I've solo'd it in 90 minutes with a blaster. (obviously longer if lunch break, etc... 😉 ) MT & TT are best for the return to the shard while Ouro will get you quickly to most of the other paragon missions. -

I mean really, stuck into a 6' box with an undead? And how many air fresheners? That's not much space -
Implement more measures to curve market manipulation.
lemming replied to crimson72's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My market experience seems to be different, I've thought the average price has been dropping. Not a lot, just a bit. Maybe that's just the popular enhancements. I also tend to dump all my excess salvage onto the market and this would suck with that proposed limit of items. It would have also really hurt my character when they were building common IOs for the other chars since they kept a near full inventory of salvage in the AH -
To play: I do prefer a mix of buff & debuff, and I've been playing more cold domination. Electrical Affinity is liked as well. And everyone should have some sort of experience with kinetics. I do however prefer the sets that let you buff the team with the fewest clicks. So grateful for the buffs that were changed to targeted AOE from single targets. Speed Boost in particular I just realized, I haven't tried poison on anything. To play with: Redhead of Recklessness (Fortitude) is always a fave Speed Boost is always welcome. Especially on End hogs I do appreciate all the other buffs that happen though I think the only time I say anything is if I see a kinetics and the team doesn't seem boosted. However, I tend to be more passive aggressive about it like mentioning how great it is that I got a speed boost, etc... Though depends on how well I've got my end management down. All that being said, I tend to play melee & blasters more than anything else repeatably. My chars with buffs tend to be concepts I want to explore, but tend to stall out once I hit 50. Even with the easier time of buffing we get now, it would be nice to have an easier way to tell which teammates you have buffed. The status icons only say so much.
