  1. Yea, I didn't really account for that, but just spit balling. I did a little more thinking and checking. Probably the equivalent of a below level 6 character name, would be a Super Group name that still has a base with nothing added, one member, and they haven't logged in for a year. Maybe also add, not publicly accessible? I don't think it would be an easy check, though in game you can see when members were last on in the SG window, so maybe. I don't feel like looking it up, but we could check on where the SG ID increment is on each server. I know Everlasting is around 40k. This might motivate me to shutdown a few bases on Excelsior since they're not really that used. Get back to just the two main ones there.
  2. Alright, enough about the German Garlic Pizza. I'll admit I don't get the reasoning between a timed mission that kicks you out, and then the characters sit there for however long it takes the player to get back to the keyboard. Sure, you don't have that time wasted zoning out, but I get annoyed at myself when I exit and I still have stuff on auto. I actually did some active farming like that. My setup has my alts usually just move from group to group, but once I had the one follow a blaster who would swoop down and nuke when it was safer. I think as long as farming is less lucrative than "real" content, it's fine. I'm not sure if we're there and there's a lot of variables. I think when I farm, I make more via the market selling various drops. I also find the actual farming fairly boring, but it can be relaxing which is part of the appeal. I also like the tweaking various builds of the mobs, the maps, and the NPCs.
  3. Put me down to preferring Storm on Sentinels. I have a Storm/Dark that just hovers in the midst of everything while stuff melts. It's not the fastest, but it works.

  5. Pretty sure the only renames are via GM petition. I'm not against the concept of this, but I think it would be a mess to implement. Conditions involved: Bases, I'd say if there was nothing in place, easy decision. If built up, more dodgy. Length of time last person of SG logged in would probably be the best metric beyond that.
  6. Technically, I don't think so since the reason the name release doesn't take account activity into consideration would be tied into that. Bump your char up to level six, and then you have at least a year.
  7. I grew up with German and technically, the first words I ever spoke was german. Nowadays, I can piece together the gist, but I suck at speaking it. Then again, my English isn't the best either at times.
  8. I have no idea if the name was always available or not, but last night checked to see if Cutscene was available. (On a few servers, but I grabbed it on Everlasting) Thinking Tanker, Stone/Titan Weapons.
  9. One of my favorite pizzas was Pepperoni, Pineapple, Garlic, and Jalapenos. Great in college because I rarely had to share. 😄 Ok, on farming. I don't mind it. It's hard to balance the effort vs reward. I don't think I can do AFK farming, but I'm heavily into distracted farming. (I think it might just be semantics...)

  11. The way I used is: Create new character and log back to character select Have new char on same screen as char you want the name on. Change new char's name slightly Immediately change old name to the wanted name. Then you can delete the temp char.
  12. I used to have Mr. Bad Example on Excelsior. (Energy Blaster with loads of KB) Right now the only Zevon song char I have is Fistful of Rain.
  13. I fixed my Ice Pirate characters, so I'm happy there. An old Champs char got their name back. Only name that I wish I got on Everlasting that I didn't is "Minimum Wage", so we'll have to figure out how to keep the spirit of the character when I move her from Excelsior. (Named for a TMBG, but they've got an actual backstory involving Manticore, and other stuff) And I checked to see if a name I had tried for in May 2021 was available "Red Herring". I still created the char as "Crimson Herring", and I'm not sure I want to fix her. (I might just have to do Red Herring as a new char then. Just have to work on a different misdirection)
  14. Like Kelika2 said, just adds a number to it. (or increments it.) I had copied one of my chars that qualified as vulnerable to beta. And it added a 1 to the name. (If the name is at max characters, last char becomes a 1) If the last char is a 1, it increments it. (Big -> Big1 -> Big2, etc...) What I don't know is if Big1 thru Big9 exist. Will it create Big10, Big11, or Big91 (or something else)

  16. After I got the names I wanted, I decided to try for the name my very first character on live attempted and have never been able to get. Got it today. 😄

  18. Well then. Will have to compare the popup to what is on the wiki then. I'm putting a note on there now, but won't check until I get home tonight.
  19. Oh yea. Though I didn't think Windfall increased XP, but increased drop rates and influence. So, up to 3.75 multiple XP while in the the Lab. (it's +25%?)
  20. Should note that the +100% XP when combined with the START vendor's 2 * XP makes for 3 * XP. 3.5 * XP while you have patrol. I did spin up a few new characters that hit 50 moderately faster, but since I've never gone for a speed run of that, I only timed one that I did a duo farm team to get a third farmer up. Took a couple hours, but last time I did something like that, it took, a couple hours... I think if we want more people on the lower population servers, it's just basically mentioning that they're great places for slower less busy experiences.
  21. This can all be done with the switch to turn off XP. The difficult thing is occasionally you forget to turn it back to zero and zip past where you didn't want to outlevel. So while I feel it's low priority, it would be nice to have other options.
  22. No badges should be awarded that one can't go back to get. Plenty of people would hate that. I'm still advocating for a way to set a level to not go past it. So you set a number (via a slider like the sidekick one) via it that you won't hit. Once you hit that, any XP goes to patrol or whatever. Though I think they're still toying around with a way to do content on outleveled contacts, it might be a bit before we see that.
  23. For me, I haven't seen any bumps in days logged off. I tend to check my dayjob progress and run thru anniversary badges on even parked characters, so the longest time most of my characters date back to when I cycled thru the anniversary badge. I also have a few names "reserved" here and there on level 1 chars that I'm cool with people claiming and those numbers have been fine as well. (Couple of them I'm using to see when the name release happens just to double check it's live...) And the simplest way to discount the conspiracy theory of the devs doing that is "why would they?" That would take having to run a script on the DB incrementing logged off times. Sure, lets take time to run something to shortcut a process we're putting in place. Plenty of us would notice a jump

  25. You can boost your KB via the Empowerment station for 90 minutes at a time. (I think it says 60)
