The Composer was inspired by various pieces, including "Invitation to the Dance" by Carl Maria von Weber, because that's what I was listening to when I created him, but I'm calling his official theme song "Lethal Symphonies" from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In a similar vein, Steampunk Dwarf's theme is "Underground City" by Derek and Brandon Fletcher: Zebulon Crane's theme is "Hell's Comin' With Me" by Poor Man's Poison. Listen past the opening minute, which acts like an overture before the song really kicks in. Then you'll hear some righteous gothic bluegrass. Lefty McWright dances a jig to "Sea Front" from the ReBoot soundtrack:

I also have toons with theme songs. Some are inspired by music, in fact. For instance, Werewolf of London. Meaning you don’t like those pieces on a female character? Or you’re looking for something complementary to it but not identical?

According to my alt spreadsheet, Brutes are my main. I have 101 Brutes and 79 Blasters. 1 Warshade, 1 Widow.

That’s interesting. I rarely take Traps and I mostly don’t use my Masterminds like that. Rather I do the bum’s rush at mobs. I do have a Bots/Traps MM, though, so I’ll give this a go when he gets there.

I’ve always thought it would be cool to be granted a Tank Mage once you got a character to 50, as an unlock perk. I know, farmers, and all that, but I don’t care. Something with the best attacks and best defenses. Basically the CoH version of the Phoenix Force or Power Cosmic, that grants your character godlike status. Just being able to make something that can punch Rularuu in the nose or stop a crashing asteroid would be pretty awesome. But that would also require making new Super Epic Endgame stuff. Doable then but probably not now.

I go concept first. Heck, I barely even bother slotting enhancements in most of my characters until deep into their 30s. This way I am *constantly* surprised when I get killed. All my toons have roided-out insurance policies.

I saw you last night as I was popping around and admired the pun. My rabbit toon this go-round is Hare Tonic, an Empathy Defender. On live it was Nor’easter Bunny.

Here’s an idea I’ve been noodling with that you can use as-is or for inspiration. With and without auras.

These are all great name/design combos, but I especially dig The Martian. The contrasting color really pops on that outfit.

That’s how I’ve done it. How are you getting it to work with the costume change? Black magic? Jedi mind trick?

I highly recommend DaVinci Resolve. In my opinion it’s nearly the equal of Adobe Premiere and way better than Final Cut, both of which I use at work (I work at a TV station). Lots of great YouTube tutorials for DaVinci. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve

This is terrific. I can never get costume change binds to work, so I’m jealous. Also, how did you get eye flames with the floating skull? I didn’t think that was possible without tricking the game into thinking the toon had a regular head.

Apparently I’m a Bard/Gardener… a Bardener. I expected to get Architect, though. Most of the recommendations are Sims 3 and Sims 4. Good thing Sims 4 is about to go free-to-play soon. All I want to do there is build houses, honestly. And if someone could make a game where all we do is build spaceships of every and any conceivable configuration, I’d be all over that. Considering how many alts I make in CoH, this is unsurprising.
