Here is my farming routine, I build new character on main account. I load up my 2nd account and PL that toon up to 50. Train them, then pl the incarnate slots to unlock. that gets me 3 vet levels and 20 Emp merits. I sell everything I get except for common/uncommon salvage on both toons for 1 inf. Whether I can get more or less at a store does not matter. Since I started farming a few months ago, I have put up over 5000 recipes and rare salvage for sale on the market. When I decide to flesh out a build with IOs, which is not every toon I level to 50, I purchase all of the IOs already crafted from the market, or I convert Empyrean Merits in order to buy winter set enhancements when possible. I have built 7 toons complete with all the good sets etc out of the 20 that I have PLd to 50. Not every toon gets expensive sets, or even any crafted I/Os. Even if I purchased all of my needed IOs for the 7 toons I have finished back from the market, that would only be about 500 IOs. Bottom line, as a farmer, I can tell you I put far more back into the system than I take, and I only receive in return what the market dictates as far as pricing. I am not alone in this, don't try to paint the picture that there is anything similar about the amount we inject into the system vs what we use, because there isn't. I dare to say, prices across the board are lower due to the greater supply that us farmers provide. Lack of supply and increased demand, coupled with greed is what pushes up prices. Having lots of infamy does not make me spend more for items, I spend what I need to when I need. But I can remember people spending far more for certain items, when there were non available, and then finally one popped up. I have seen LotG 7.5% recharge Crafted IOs sell for well over 50M+ each, now that there are loads of them in circulation and available, the costs have balanced out to pretty cheap if you factor in the cost of purchasing the recipe with merits. I would say the more trillionaires the better, because that is inf out of rotation, that is not affecting the market. -

I want to further clarify my position after a night to sleep on the changes on beta, My thoughts are still in a whirlwind after seeing the changes. so i may leave out some details. when the game was live, I had somewhere around 25 fully developed level 50 characters that I played regularly. I had one of the top badge hunters, I ran the largest SG on Guardian Server. Ran events 7 days a week. Yada yada yada. The point is, There is no content in this game aside from anything the HC team has introduced, that I have not done, multiple times. I use the AE and the rewards in place from farming in order to build back my old toons from live and to relive certain content arcs with said toons. I have no desire to go back to the days of depending upon others to get in game rewards. The main reason I came back and got hooked again on this game, was the ability to easily get back what was once taken away. I have not yet finished building back all of my former heroes/ villains, and these changes will affect that goal in some negative ways. they will also affect how I add to the community. I am sure there are others who are in a similar situation as me, in regards to just wanting their old toons back. 1.Cutting emp merit rewards via Vet leveling will force me to buy sets more often on the market rather than through conversion, prices will increase for IOs on market. 2.I will be forced to farm "Heather Townsend arc (Burden of the Past)" more often, I speed run this for emp merits/threads and incarnate salvage, so my recipe/salvage output to market will decrease, prices will go up This really just seems like a very poor decision. The type of decision that typically would come form a pay to play game trying to extend subscription times, on a player base hungry for the next big content drop. This is not a good decision in a 18 year old game, on a rouge server, that is primarily filled with those of us trying to relive our "glory days" I do not pay to play, there is no contract between myself and the devs. This is their project and they can do as they wish. I am however eternally grateful they have given me the opportunity to relive the past, without their hard work, it would have been lost forever. This just really feels like a "its our ball" type move and that really sucks. -

I truly enjoy my power leveling of my own toons vet rewards and all, since it helps me get all the sets I need. These changes look like they are going to put a serious damper on the only reason I play. I dont understand the need force these types of changes upon us. I for one am not very happy about this, but since I don't have to pay to play I am not going to throw a fit. I will probably just move on to some other game. -

Red touch yellow no friend of a fellow, red touch black a friend of jack. I'm not sure weather you are friend or foe 😉 -

Originally posted to this thread May 25, 2005 This is my evolved snake species concept. I have had about 20 different toons over the years with various color combos and power sets all with similar costumes. the key design requirement is they must have monsterous feet, tail and reptilian skin, and some sort of facial feature that says fangs. My most recent is my Rad/fire brute farmer name Neutron mamba. I currently use the green&blue skin/purple/silver and the blue/red/gold costumes. The toon started out as black/red/gold with the same costume elements as the dark green skin version. Oh how I wish a snake lower body like the snakes from Mercy Island would be added to the costume creator, snake heasd would also be nice- 8066 replies

This is not very original, I'm sure this one has been done 1000+ times before. this is my take on Cad Bane. I give you Badd Cane - Dual pistol/Martial Combat Blaster .....after spending so much time on Shujaa Wa Giza, I ran out of original ideas.- 8066 replies

I leveled my main the old fashioned way. I then built a farmer (rad/Fire brute) and leveled it to 25, and was then randomly invited to an AE farm (never once asked to be leveled) and got it to 50. I used a combination of drops from main and Oro missions from my farmer while leveling up my T4 incarnates, to finish my farmers build. I used that farmer to build another farmer (Spines/Fire brute) on another account. I have used the 2nd farm toon to level and build my last 10 lvl 50 toons. I sell everything I get for 1 inf, and craft nothing for builds unless I cant buy it. I build every toon I always wanted to try, but never wanted to level. Take away my ability to do that, and I am gone. my advice is get a second account, PL yourself while farming, and never worry about the price of anything, or having to rely on someone else to help you get to 50.

Hi all I have been on a fire farming kick lately and I have recently decided to PL myself a collection of the most Cliche' builds for each AT while also trying to hit the inf cap. My goal is to have at least 2 of every AT including epics fully outfitted with the best builds possible for whatever type of content I want to do with them. For now they they will just be door sitting mules for recipe and salvage drops. I am not looking for builds at this point just power set combos that seem to be the most common choices. In the past I have limited myself to only villain ATs, I have only recently started messing around with the Hero ATs I currently have @ lvl50 completed builds Rob/dark/Soul -MM - Mr. Apocalypse Rad/fire/Mu - Brute - Neutron Mamba Spines/Fire/Mu - Brute - Cosmic Cobra Rad/Kin/Mace - Corruptor - Tasty Tart I have a about 10 others that have hit 50, but have not been trained up or have no final build decided upon. What do you think are the most commonly picked AT power set combos? Maybe this list can also serve to help those that want to be different, from choosing the most common when stepping into a new AT.
-
I said I knew it was old, I just ran with it because it was already done. I literally picked a build, made a toon and PL'd it to completion except for slotting the incarnates. Mainly I just to see how fast I could do it, starting from zero inf to having all of the very rare sets. That's why I am asking what would be good changes. Now that I have it done, I would like to use it, and learn to play it a bit better. Thanks for the input, I did read the thing about instasnipe but was unaware of the Rune of protection changes. I'll try to move some stuff around in mids before committing to any changes.

So I decided on a whim to see how fast I could Power level an alt and fully eqip it with a "top end" IO build (18 hours start to finish in multiple sittings over a single weekend), I had a rad/rad corrupter back before I/Os were a thing and did not want to go back down that road. So I recycled that character name and threw caution to the wind and jumped on making a rad/kin with the above build. with only a couple of changes. I am not at all settled on this build and I know it may be kind of outdated since it was posted so long ago. My question is what would you change and what would be the best incarnate powers to go along with it? I plan on using it on TFs mostly, and not really for solo play. below link has my changes. https://www.midsreborn.com/builds/download.php?uc=1588&c=731&a=1462&f=HEX&dc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

While I have enjoyed watching it, I can't get over how badly Disney is Wrecking established Cannon. By time they are done milking their cash cow, The lore and cannon will be a complete mess. I would not doubt that some executive has already pitched the idea of making it a part of the MCU multiverse, so that they can do anything they want script wise.

Thanks, I figured it was something like this.

I just recently finished with my Rad/Fire/Mu build. (Briggs farm build) I was running maps at +3/8 up until I got all of my sets completed, because it made life easier. I took a break at that point and did the grind to get all of my T4 incarnates done via Ouroborus for the quick incarnate salvage drops (50 runs of the "burdens of the past part 1 @-1/1" plus emp merits from leveling for all 6 incarnate slots to T4). I am now running +4/8 without any threat of failure. My question is this. Why do some farm missions make me lvl 49 and some make me lvl 50. I cant really tell the difference in kill rate or earnings. I remember reading somewhere that it boosted rewards somehow by being lvl 49, but I cant find a straight answer.. my search-fu is weak!

While it would be awesome to see all of this games content within a new engine, which there is too many reasons why that is an impossibility. I would really like to see something a bit more doable, which is a Hi-res texture upgrade. With a modern GPU/CPU the game runs very well at max setting across the board. Upgrading some the textures would go a long way, without completely braking the bank. Many of the environment textures are fine as they are and could be left alone, but also many of them are down right horrible looking and could stand to be re-worked. It would also be nice to se a rework of many of the original costume pieces, It is very obvious that the quality and complexity the costume pieces increased as the game aged. Many of the costume pieces that were released towards the end of the games original run, are of such higher design quality, that the older pieces textures look poor by comparison and look out of place when combined together. even more so when the game settings are cranked to max.

This is my new Beam Rifle/Electric Armor Sentinel. I am trying on for size both an ultra modern and Steam punk version. -
I just rolled a Beam Rifle/Elec armor Sentinel. I am liking it so far, but not sure if it is a good combo for endgame. I really don't want to waste my time on this combo, if it has major flaws that i am missing. Would Energy Armor be a better choice. I am pretty much locked into Electric or Energy based on the Character concept. This is my first attempt at a Sentinel, and beam rifle. I also really don't remember much from the old days about any of my blaster and corruptor builds and there general pitfalls. Performance wise, how does the Sentinel match up against the similar pairings with Blasters and Corruptors?

Excelsior Badge Leaderboard (no longer maintained)
Mr. Apocalypse replied to Sister Corruption's topic in Excelsior
Back in the day, I was always neck in neck for the top spot on Badge-Hunter.com. I just started seriously collecting again recently since finishing up slotting my build. I am currently at 796, I still got a few to go 🙂. I had forgotten how much of a pain some of the badges were to get.
