  1. Yes the game was showing its age, when compared to the flashiest, latest, greatest, MMO's that were coming out at that time. But, most of those games were trading out good game-play for graphical flashiness.. Where are they now? They (most of them) went away just like COH, but they did not have communities of die hard fans willing to resurrect them. If you want to play a "modern" Super Hero MMO there is always Ship of heroes, or city of Titans, or champions online. I personally think it would be disastrous to make a modernizing pass on this game..
  2. I would rather the developers continue to add more content and options, rather than waste their time "modernizing" the appearance of in-game assets. Don't get me wrong I would like to see improvements to some of the original artwork, mainly higher resolution textures for costumes etc. But, It isn't like there is a pool of high paid programmers slaving away on this game for a corporate giant. This game is a passion project for a handful of devoted people that just could not let this game slip away into history. Be thankful, like many of us are that the game is even playable (7 years we waited). Enjoy it for both its quality game-play and its nostalgic look and feel. If they were to modernize the game, I would hope they focused on the type of things that improve game-play without really being seen., such as overall Performance improvements, added chat features, etc. basically things that help everyone, not just a few that think the game should be re-imagined to take place in 2023.
  3. Like the title says. Looking for a Symphony/Storm build.. I have never really experimented with either set and dont play controllers that much. From my lack of finding one with search-fu, I am assuming its not a very popular build.
  4. I read the last 5 pages of this thread, here is my take... -music from worlds smallest violin plays in the background- ...You don't need to purchase a lot of items in order to "just play the game" ..The sky is not falling, the market is not collapsing. it has an ebb and flow. ..There are many ways to make inf. in the game. relying on selling boosters is a pretty poor choice..Diversify, diversify, diversify. ..reward merits is an inefficient way to bankroll a character. What did I miss? now here are my 2 cents.. in 2 years, I have amassed well over 20B inf in this game and spent it like water over Niagara Falls on what ever I want. all without ever "playing the market" I sell everything I get for 1 inf, and take whatever the market pays me. The only things I do not ever sell on the market is Standard IO recipes, since they always sell for 100-150k at a store, and rarely fetch anything close on the market. I also only sell orange salvage on market white and yellow get deleted or sold at a store this is mainly due to not wanting to be bothered with the market for low hanging fruit. my advice build a fire farmer and rake in the rewards, and you will want for nothing!
  5. I could be down with this, or a store/contact that lets you trade them 2 for 1 to get the one you want.
  6. I don't think we need to seed, or make Hami-o's convertible. Here is why, and I know this may be controversial to some, but here it goes.. Build a fire farmer and use it to make so much in game currency that it does not bother you to spend whatever something cost on the market. Or do the content required to get the drops you want. I have done both. I have participated in countless Hamidon raids in order to get drops that I have no use for at the time. Sometimes I get what I need, sometimes I don't. I generally store the unneeded away for later or drop them on the market for 1 inf. I have also farmed billions upon billions of inf over the lat 2 years and have bought countless Hami-os and IOs, at full market price. I don't really try to get stuff for real cheap, I just keep on upping the bid until I win the auction. my point is, anything in this game is easily obtained, without changing the current mechanics, it is just a matter of playing the game to succeed in you endeavors! My fear is this; It seems that most of the time things like this get "fixed" , there is an unexpected consequence that causes more problems down the line, and the player base suffers in the long run for it.
  7. I have been on another Themed costume design journey for Wizard of OZ I started with this one a while back Scare-Creaux -Claws/invul scrapper Tin-Man Titan/Energy Aura Scrapper Scardey-Cat Savage melee/Willpower Brute And to round out the team Dorothea Galeforce Symphony/Storm summoning Controller I still need to do the wizard and The witches of the west and north but its a start.
  8. I have never really paid attention, but could the fact that you have not yet earned the power "upgrade robot" yet be a reason why a bind for said power is failing?
  9. Honestly I liked the first one the best with the flaming building in the background. On this latest revision the background flames don't seem to meld very well with the per-existing drawn in flames.
  10. I like it. The little fire in the background is a nice touch. The glowing eyes are so subtle, I almost missed them.
  11. here is mine, see what you can do. 🙂
  12. Can tintable versions of the new weapons please be added. while being able to change the eye color of the new staff is nice, it would really be nice to change the color of the staff independent of the snake. maybe several tintable versions with different eye colors baked in.
  13. Here is my latest, Comrade Cataclysm Earth/rad Dom former security guard at the Chernobyl Nuclear reactor, Direct exposure to the meltdown didn't kill him, but rather made him a super.
  14. These are both outstanding designs, I really do like Card King a lot.
  15. I actually made a full set of profiles for using the stream deck with the MM keybinds. There are unique profiles for each of the MM primaries. They can be found at this LINK
  16. wow, I see my misspelling of Rogue really took off.
  17. I I took petrifying gaze to fill a spot, I had the enhancements already. I didn't take photon grenade, because I don't want to have my toon pulling out a weapon. I have never used any of the personal attacks for this particular toon and have no plans to do so. so petrefying gaze it was. I find that the benefits of slotting darkest night to be minimal based upon the added slots taken, so I tend to just one slot with the enzyme exposure at lvl 53 I have tried many of the alpha powers on this toon. I have Cardiac and musculature radial and core, and at least 1 t3 in most of the others. I find musculature gives me the most benefit based on my play style. But never say never, I will give the others a whirl on the Beta server and see how they perform. I still haven't done much GM testing so the build might change up a bit. Before the i27 Page 5 changes to the set, my build was pretty solid for taking on GMs. I will have to see if the lack of -regen from Photon grenade will be an issue for me. I have read mixed reviews about the -regen debuff moving from the pets to photon grenade. Some say its a deal breaker and some say it makes no difference when taking on GM's. I'll have to make that decision later after some testing, because I really don't want any of the 3 personal attacks from the bots primary
  18. So I made another pass on my choices and made a couple of improvements based on your comments and my testing. I moved steadfast Resistance/3% def from tough to shadow fall. I lost some S/L resistance (was over cap, dropped to 74.01), but gained some extra (~2%) on EN,Neg a PSI resist I also dropped a slot from stamina and moved it to Dark Embrace and slotted in another Unbreakable guard (max HP+) this cost me 15 HP but added back 60 HP for a net +45HP increase and boosted my mez resists and toxic/psi resists some more. This change cost .12/sec. end recovery, But Ageless T4 makes up for any endurance issues. Tar patch lost the Ice Mistral proc (it was useless in TP as it only procs on the initial cast) and received a Pacing of the Turtle range/slow 5+ boosted (I already had this one so threw it on). +5 boosted recharge reduces timer by 4 seconds vs the =5 boosted PotT range/slow, but with my haste numbers I can already double stack. Triple stacking for a few seconds at most is not really worth much to me. I may still go with +5 boosted recharge, but for now going to try having extra range and slow in it. If triple stacking becomes a need, I will move to boosted recharge. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1870;780;1560;HEX;| |78DA65955B4F13611086DF76B716DA0285B694A34005410E857AE39D51399840AB2| |8CAC918524B81C6C2362D24F237BCE10F78BCF3DA1803028926FA0F8C89F1809A08| |1820EA559DEC74E2C77693ED3EDF1CBE797776761BBB37E079F7367A01366F7F3A9| |ECBCDC4E2B9E5647631B534EBBA914C2C2C1969637E5503501ECB869B2F668C443C| |BD9AC9259D64AAFB1F3C33B6B2B8682C85AF1B778CE5542257AFB82EADCCCD8507E| |2D9BB33B1543CB718876BD430D2E1B14C32395B616234199F4D66730BA98C47D699| |D4D27C99B9184ACD2F2CD3AA6130934A84D592C64ABAA077B586E4F4D0F9DC413F3| |6C891A7E516A98FE8B0E3B5C036838E37021F184EE023C34D1DEA9127AB5F42020C| |25A81608328CEB6A69E469F18CD691524C9047535441C339BAEA1A5E904087E2B13| |9D00D33C72310A2563BD51027BAD8532E3049FB972A956DA5D8614DE5B03B4C7849| |17B7DA1837F6EDA6C78B5F0C5538103864F0E300053862A8243165CA365A190236D| |3538D03AD00BB0C3DD863982279154A925E21495E0C71480D460486193A11A49846| |DA8F4A562AD9F64AC9AEC37BD6D90C3F5BA6A9924FBD4B1F3ED9CD5D1AF059E00BC| |3497C15D811F8C610A49201B5E501A954876AEEA78F42826AA5201E889887028F18| |5AF058E089C0538675DAAD5679728E5A7358C873CA7CAA264C099CE7A456F40B7CA| |7A4761DB728A25E55538F75BD10B2C1701AAF043605B6F4C283DA66A8A29B6A54E7| |B491949A9E0DD2D9A476A489763667AF5D80E612213539841198EDBC4DBBB7A9EAD| |AE0D44C4F3B4A044A19CEC025E016F0306854A0431D840E9C9559E9158830ACD3A5| |4B1DB92E1CB2A71B4702BF05FEC8C0FE65D8F70061353B8CABDCF15E0C0B5C11883| |1441065D049679FAAB34F063622731A819721A61FFF5EE51B2C063A0B5D8C167B34| |2E385AFCE1C9D3819FAEA28C1E7E9CBBC59E0EF6EC593C54619CA5BAD0A21560D86| |64EDDBE2596708D1579709F61AB93DE24455ABED64F76F586477C16C3E5A0C5F0A3| |D56258B3A66C862C866B2E8B61DA6A98B01A26AD8681CEE3FF01F9A1CEE3EF6A7E9| |00C6ED5F00FA0C1ECB5| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  19. Wow, lots of views, but no comments. I was expecting at least one person to tell me how I slotted something wrong or should have skipped a power. Should I take this as a sign of my builds perfection, it utter ridiculousness, or that nobody cares about bots/dark? 😉
  20. one of the other Rouge servers has a color picker like what you shared, so it can be done. it just isn't something they are doing here.
  21. This is my current live build I am still working on my T4 Destiny incarnate (Ageless Core Epiphany) but everything else is complete on live. I took a long break after the Page 5 update came out, because of my displeasure at some of the things in the update and needed to give myself some time for a fresh start. I was heavily invested in my previous build, and was not looking forward to changes good or bad. I think this build is pretty solid. so far it seems to be a beast, I play pretty active and in the middle of the fight spamming Twilight grasp to keep my pets alive, so no need for repair drone, also got dark servant to contribute some heals. I still need to do some more +4/8 testing, but seems to be no major issues or complaints so far. I am open to suggestions for changes, but I really like the way the numbers stack up. 22. They are my favorite boots, I do however wish they has an alternative version with Skin tone for the base, and the two colors affect the organic armor portion only, similar to the how colors are applied on the organic armor shoulders. the spine is a backpiece
  23. I just threw this together, here is how I picture an insane space Genie. Maybe not along the lines you were thinking, I tried to go outside the box from the typical genie look.
  24. I was not trying to be unfriendly.
