  1. Does anyone know the answer to this question? I haven't tinkered with the music aspect at all, BUT I was recently in a base that had music playing. I was just visiting as a non-team or SG member. So, I'm guessing it's set so everyone who enters the base can hear it. The walls were not removed. The base is still there, walls, rooms and all. All that stuff was built on the OUTSIDE of the base. I've included a quick and dirty 1, 2, 3 in the OP on how to do it.
  2. I think you could have placed the second door by changing the surface attachment to "surface" (instead of wall) with F5. Pull out second door, hit F5 to "surface", stick to first door. Flip/rotate with shift/ctrl alt as necessary.
  3. If you're just changing a costume.... Icon is just across the street in AP
  4. Yah, that's the way I used to do it all the time. It takes strong fingers to hold those items until they are in just the right spot, lol. Now I kinda use a combination of "surface" (F5) to place, then shift or control to nudge. I've discovered, though, that sometimes I need to reset the item to "floor" in order to nudge it in the right direction (once on the surface, it should stay at that height). IF the item pops to the floor... DO NOT LET GO.. just keep holding it, and hit escape.
  5. Didn't even notice those little icons. Thanks. I've been going through my profile and pulling up my posts. Then I still end up going down the main forum list... skimming one forum at a time.
  6. Yah... the team search is a pretty good indicator. Except that I've found it often gets truncated, which means you don't always get all the real information. Also, it dosen't account for all the people who may have put themselves on /hide.
  7. Are there mishes that can be stealthed?
  8. Somebody mentioned training with BaB... is he still in the NW corner of things? Also, another easy trainer to reach is Victoria in Talos (right off the tram). And, I think you can access the Vanguard base in AP as well. Though I don't think you can go into the zone itself (or you shouldn't, if you're too low)
  9. Calling it "P2W" is a joke. That's how I took it. lol Just a little jibe. It's a nice QoL, though; really helps get through those low levels.
  10. I grab an enhancie, and while holding mouse over another tab, which then turns color and opens up for me to drop the enhancie in. It's a drag and drop kind of thing, but it does take a little finesse.
  11. OMG... I never thought of making a "silent" tab. clever girl!
  12. It's a little tricky getting started from zero, especially if you want to use the Auction House. After all, you can't list that sweet recipe drop for millions if you don't have the cash to pay the fee. So, you start with the small stuff, large inspies and rare salvage. Then, when you have a bit to play with, list that awesome rare recipe you got when you did that Posi. ;) That being said... once you get a little comfortable, converters are the way to join the ranks of the wealthy; craft the yellows and convert to procs or other highly desired set pieces - profit! Crafting the rares can be expensive and cut into your profit margin. I recommend AH if it's a good one, vender the rest. Some folks like to craft the "common" or regular IOs for the badges, then they put them up for a reasonable price (usually at a loss or breaking even).
  13. Lovely memorial Heraclea. I finally got around to tinkering a little more... I made a thing... I have a concept for an outer and inner base, but I'm holding out for the outdoor lighting. In the meantime, I have a very small, cozy, bare necessities base.
  14. Storage items are under the workshop tabs: Arcane Workshop and Tech Workshop. I believe Empowerment Stations and crafting tables are also under workshops. You can have a total of 18 workshop items in your base.
  15. Oh, I see... you are saying we need one that is coded in, like LFG, Help, System, Broadcast, and all the other default channels. Yah... that would be good. Not taking away from server channels, of course. Eventually, people will gravitate to groups anyway.
  16. I've seen folks using Paragon Chat as a cross server chat channel. I agree that Help is not the place for long discussions outside of helping people quickly with the game.
  17. I remember them being somewhat northwesterly... by the smoke stacks
  18. Okay... maybe you have local selected as your default in the text line.... check the tiny tiny letter buttons above the text box. By clicking on one of those buttons, you set your text box to default to a channel. This is handy for when you are on a team and will be chatting in it for a while. Or if you are RPing, and will want to be chatting in local. Or if you're chilling in the base and chatting in a server global (that would be the "active" button). You can always "bypass" the text/channel default on the fly by using a slash command or keybind (for server channels, etc.,.).
  19. There was a group on Justice that used to run Dr. Q to the point they had it down to a science. I remember because I'd always heard how long that tf was, but it went quickly the one time I participated. It's been so long, I don't remember their specific strategies, though team tps definitely figured into it. I'm not sure about the 90 min claim, but I'm pretty sure they were able to cut it down to just 2-3 hrs.
  20. It seems that higher level toons are the ones adverting the higher level content... because, y'know, that's where they are. So if you want to see more higher level content adverted, maybe let people power level the way they want. On the flip side, it would behoove veteran players to be patient with new folks who may have done the same. Bringing up the next generation of savvy players is beneficial to everyone in the long run. There is no need to nerf DFB. There is need for patience and guidance.
  21. Merit venders will make the conversion for you. There is one in most zones in proximity of WW. There should also be one in RWZ.
  22. Remember, you can filter your chat tabs by creating new tabs and editing what channels go into them. Just right click on the chat window to see the options. I separate the LFG and Help, and it seems to drop the signal to noise considerably. DFBs are still very popular, since a lot of folks are alting, which means lots of lowbies. I've also seen Yin and Posi, as well as safeguards, lvl x mishes, ITF, and MSRs. I admit I haven't paid much attention to incarnate content, because I haven't hit that level yet.
  23. To search for public chat channels; right click on a chat window and select channel search from the popup. That will bring up a window for searching. When you click on a channel in that window, you will have an option to join. You can edit your chat windows by right clicking and selecting "edit tab". There, you can add or remove channels as you like. You can also create chat tabs in your chat windows, to separate various channels. Again, it is in the popup when you right click on the chat window.
  24. Ran into the same issue yesterday. Took a friend and new player through the tutorial, hit up Hashaby, and.... No Hellions. No Hellions anywhere. We eventually found a couple in a parking lot, but since they were not in the phasing area, they did us no good. We finally decided to switch AP instances and were able to complete the mission with plenty of Hellions to choose from.
  25. Also, double check to make sure the homecoming exe is on your graphics processor's list. For instance, I had to go to the NVidia control panel and add the homecoming exe, as well as set the graphics for it. This was because I also have an Intel graphics chip on my laptop, and the 'puter kept trying to default to it for the game. Once I put the exe on the NVidia list, the GForce took priority control for the game. (hope that made sense)
