  1. What Eva said. F5 is a great tool for many things, but sometimes ya just gotta go "old school"; shift for vertical movement, ctrl for horizontal movement on a plane.
  2. This is not a bug. Yes, the plot is insubstantial. Yes, you can fall to the bottom of the world. You can even build on the bottom of the world. Using /stuck will transport you back to the entrance portal if you need. Please go over the FAQ and Base Builder's Cheat Sheet in the Base Construction forums. You can also consult with other builders in the Base Builders sub channel of the Homecoming Discord. ;D
  3. Shard Warrior.... errrm... I'll got with Cruja's all around solution.... bathroom stall panels. They are so versatile!
  4. Very subtle and clever way to create a two toned plant... not only in color but also using the leaf pile to give leaves a different shape than the blooms. Nice job!
  5. You can still set SG colors in the settings. The trick is getting your friends/members to remember to play in SG mode while you're grouping. Nice thing is, you don't have to sacrifice inf for prestige in SG mode anymore. BUT... just remember to toggle out of SG mode when you are playing at the tailor. Nothing more frustrating than going to the tailor, and not having your costume change when you think it should.
  6. zenijos10, That base looks awesome. Did you put a passcode in the passcode thread and google doc? If you put one in the google doc, make sure you put it on the right tab. Each server has their own tab along the bottom of the spreadsheet.
  7. Awesome turnout tonight! Two TF teams and the rest PLing on PI mishes. Rumor has it that there is a goal to get enough folks to run a Tankity MSR...
  8. There was never a duplicate or copy button in our editor. Nor did we ever move items with arrows. I think somebody may be confusing with another game. Still... daydreaming about possibilities is fun. =)
  9. There's also the quirk that the axis point of an item doesn't like to go over the bare plot grid. Sometimes the axis point is in the middle of an item, sometimes it's on an edge, or a corner. But for some items, that point will be quite stubborn about crossing the grid. Sometimes, depending on where that axis point is, you can rotate the item to clip it farther.
  10. If I'm following what you are asking, there is no way to simply replace an existing room with another. You literally have to delete the room (and all the items in it) and replace it with a new one. Your other option is to "add on" to the existing room. Now that doorways can be placed side by side (but not on corners), you could add a hallway or another room and fill the gaps with doorways. This will give you the appearance of a larger, open room.
  11. I just tested this and had no problems... I'm assuming you know that room clipping needs to be enabled each time you enter base edit mode. Are there any specific circumstances that this happens with? particular items? is the room connected with doorways? floating/no doorways? lighting options toggled? Do you have alternate bases that this also happens with?
  12. Don't forget to visit and tour each other's bases. Y'all are doing some fantastic work! Sometimes, screenies just aren't enough, ya gotta visit in person (and maybe stea--- er, gain some inspiration). =)
  13. So.... Been working on this, slowly but surely. Ain't nut'in too fancy, and not quite finished, but I'm pleased with it. Olympic sized swimming pool with lanes. Opted to go without diving board. There are two hot tubs And two steam saunas
  14. I wouldn't mind the current character limit if the dang thing didn't count the punctuation marks as code whenever you go back to the ID screen. This has happened with one bio in particular. It is written in poetic prose with breaks at certain points for emphasis. I got it to just under the limit... actually a good 20 characters under the limit. But any time I hit the ID screen, I end up re-writing it from scratch because the f^&*k!$#g thing counts up the punctuation and returns as code and suddenly I'm out of characters, and I lose half of the last line. >:( >:( >:( It does not do it while writing in the screen... it only does it when you go back to the screen from the game world. So yes, if possible, it would be nice to expand the character limit for bios to account for this behavior. OR, failing that... rewrite the code for the d^&m%*d thing entirely. It's truly maddening.
  15. Awwww, yah, that's been a discussion on Discord. Would be so awesome to have "open sky" floors!
  16. I don't know about the Pocket D bars specifically, but there are some bar-type options in the cabinets tab. The other option is to Lego something together with different parts for a unique look all your own. =)
  17. And the clue is that it has something to do with the queue code for that particular screen/page.
  18. Glad you go it sorted out! Don't forget to set a return point, lol
  19. Actually, Teleporters do not require power or control. Medical items, however, do.
  20. Uhmmm.... Has anyone seen my jaw laying around somewhere? (hopefully it didn't end up in that thaumaturgy lab)
  21. If you guys could, please add these instances to this thread in the Bug Reports... It may not be the entrance specifically, but it seems related.
  22. The last I heard, adding more NPCs was on hold because they want to make NPCs customizeable with choices. So, instead of having to keep every single type of NPC in the library, you'd have a "basic" NPC and add your "costume" and "emote" from a menu.... At least, that's how I understood the thought process.
  23. So... I was hopping around servers today and I ran across something that might be pertinent here: When I quit to character screen, as opposed to server or desktop, I got the delayed Char List screen. When I hit the "back" button to go back to the server screen, I got this... (click to embiggen) So... It seems that the game thinks I'm in queue for some reason... when there is no queue. Edit to Add: Just had hubby try the same thing on his rig, which is running Win10. He was able to hit the back button before the char screen came up and did NOT get this notice. The other difference between our setups is that I am using Island Rum as a launcher, and he is using Tequila. We both have the launchers set to close upon the game opening. The only thing I can think of, where this might be a factor, is if IR somehow missed downloading part of a patch somewhere along the line. Edit again: Just re-validated all game files using Tequila. Made no difference. Still getting queue message.
