Then you're just dealing with a set that still sub-par in damage. Maybe. Maybe not. If the change is made game-wide, regardless of AT, SS stops being a viable set for Tankers (and possibly Brutes). This I could POSSIBLY see. I'd have to look at performance numbers to see if the +ToHit and +Dmg make the set anything other than "meh". But if you're paying in endurance on a steady basis...

What Is the **WORST** AT/PowerSet Combination?

Buh-WHAT? -
SS would require a COMPLETE overhaul to not be overpowered on Scrappers.

Blasters, when you absolutely, positively, have to output maximum possible damage. Sentinels, when you want to feel immortal while outputting loads of ranged damage. It's basically the difference between scrappers and tanks. But for ranged damage.

Honestly, the entire Medicine pool is simply sucking powers and slots from where they could be more useful. If someone needs assistance, standing on top of them, trying to use Aid Other, while you're tanking a group is sub optimal. They'll get up, get whacked once, and they're frenching floor again immediately. Optimal slotting for Health is the Miracle Unique, the Numina Unique and the Panacea Unique. If you have left-over slots (ha ha), the Regenerative Tissue and Preventative Measures Uniques are Nice To Have too. As Myshkin noted, the EndRedux in Rage, and lack of Recharge isn't ideal. If you don't have problems hitting things, just toss two 50+5 boosted Common IOs in there. If you want to boost your chances to hit a bit more, toss in two Membrane Exposure Hami-Os. If the market's swimming in Membranes, buy enough to +3 them. Were I rebuilding you, I'd go after something like this: Also, you've GOTTA be careful with those Force Feedback procs. If you leave one in a power and don't turn it off, you get a skewed view of your native Recharge.

Is this game really supposed to heat up GFX cards?
Hyperstrike replied to JnEricsonx's topic in General Discussion
I remember when Ultra Mode arrived. I had a buddy at NVIDIA test it out on a Quad-SLI setup. Found out that the performance boost from SLI didn't really make a ton of difference for the game. -
Then post /JRANGERPLUS and give your reasoning behind it. So you have your say, and the JRANGER portion signifies that you're not going to continue in a discussion...

Basically Invuln on a Sentinel (I have a DP/Inv) is VERY nice and self-contained.

Honestly, for Granite, I'd love an option to, instead of using the DE model, just overlay normal player model with the stone texture they use on statues. Hell, they've already done it in Incarnate New Praetorian content (the one mission where they put up a statue of you).

It's a problem with thermal management and power management for the form-factor.

Any luck?

Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience
Hyperstrike replied to Doc Ranger's topic in Brute
They're both about equally tough. Throw a dart blindfold, to pick one. Either way should be a blast. -
No. I said most consistently aggravating. I consider the -DMG, on a class that already struggles with "arresting" power to be the greatest weakness. This is why I'm saying that I know the set needs tweaking. I just don't know what tweaks could be made without severely unbalancing the set.
-
Incorrect. Yes, the mobility debuff is the most consistently aggravating. Yes, you're getting -Speed, but you're ALSO getting -Recharge and -Damage as well. So, what's the use of being able to stand there against an enemy 24/7 if you can't actually DEFEAT it? Or you're just barely able to, but it's ALWAYS stretched into a TWO HOUR click-fest SLOG? Now, if we're taking into account IOs and the Alpha slot, Stone WITHOUT Granite is still VERY MUCH usable. Also, because I can, I'm going to throw another option out there. I know Stone needs some updates, but I'm unsure, at this point, what would be the "Best" direction to go.

Had a longer response here. Thought better of it. I see enough aggro out in the real world. I refuse to put up with it in my passtime. And you've done nothing to warrant further explanation. You do you, I'll do me. Bye.

Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience

Again, while leveling up? Go for the mixed Defense/Resist setup (Fighting-Kick/Tough/Weave, Leaping-Combat Jumping, Leadership-Maneuvers). Once you hit your mid-30's, early 40's, start on your Resist-centric rebuild. Maybe something like this: -

With the damage rebalance, while you're losing SOME damage, there's just something to be said for being a flat-out immovable object. Here's my Elec/Elec/Mu as an example. -
Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience
Hyperstrike replied to Doc Ranger's topic in Brute
Honestly, on a heavily optimized build, Rad, Elec and Fire are all about equally survivable. Dark, Shield, and Invuln are roughly comparable. With proper planning, WP can be absolutely AMAZING, you're just NOT going to be the toughest thing out there. But you'll still be PLENTY tough. With Elec armor, I'd SUGGEST, if you have a slot somewhere, toss at least ONE KB Resist in there. Because the minute your feet leave the ground, you're knockable. -
Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience
Hyperstrike replied to Doc Ranger's topic in Brute
I've played Rad/Rad for both Tanks and Brutes. I've found that Rad/Rad tank, with its higher HP count is generally more pleasant to play. I've had well-built Rad/Rad configurations: I'm in a happy place! I'm in a happy place! I'm*DEAD!!!* No warning. Just "French The Floor!" It's HIDEOUSLY annoying. With the Rad/Rad tank, I hybrided it, going for Defense boosts up into the late 30's and early 40's where I started running into lots of Arachnos which just disassembled me. I then rebuilt to maximize Resist. And the difference was INCREDIBLE. Rad/Rad is what made me go back and rebuild my Fire and Elec armor tanks. -
