Is getting threatened with BAN a common thing on this server?

Correct. Which, ironically, makes my point. We shouldn't be modifying the game based on an arbitrary benchmark like "fun". Because "fun" is different for EVERYONE. If you can argue a technical reason or a QOL improvement, fine. That's not what's being done. -

It's BS. If you're getting banned or time-out'ed, a GM will TELL YOU. And it'll be for something actually wrong that you've really done. You aren't going to have some bootlicker tell you "I'mma getchoo banned!" Especially not for borking a badge run... You just got unlucky and found a jerkoff. -

As opposed to, what? Modifying the entire mechanic of how Incarnates works? Doing it some more to arbitrary badges? Mine is essentially a basic yes/no query. -

Should be a simple query. If present but slot = EMPTY/Open (vs EMPTY/CLOSED), then... -

I'm just gonna say I disagree with you. I feel the current cutoffs work fine. Will such characters outperform bog standard even-levels? SURE! But that's always been true. -

No, they shouldn't. If you're properly Exemp'ed, those powers are all disabled. If not, it falls under "This Is A Bug". -

Uh. How are Alpha and Interface "unable to be turned off"? Powers ==> Incarnate Abilities ==> Right-Click on Incarnate Ability ==> Select "Clear Slot" With nothing in the slots, the powers don't exist. -

/jranger (aka NOPE!) If you can come up with a technical reason? Basis for discussion. But you're arguing solely based on an anecdotal, personally qualitative measurement of "Fun". What if I'm a wannabe thunder god (aka an Elec/Elec Tank wannabe) who spams Ion every time it comes up? What if *I* think *THAT* is fun? Hmm? -

Yes. But you do it from what is essentially complete safety. And remember, you're talking to a guy whose SPECIALTY is "Everything Can Be Made To Tank". Insta-Kill isn't exactly in a Tank's wheelhouse. *Pause for irony* If you're lazy/patient/just have lots of time to burn, the only reason you aren't classified as a Brute (or at least a Scrapper) is cruel irony.

I got about 2-3 seasons in, and then the show kinda disappeared up it's own ***hole. I tried rewatching it several times and it's like someone took the plot, set it on fire, drowned it in feces, then nuked it multiple times in the space of an hour before electrocuting, infesting it with mold, and then throwing it into an atomic-level shredder and blowing on the remains and becomes impossible to follow. Unexplained BS on top of unexplained BS on top of... Also, wish the series would have had the budget for SFX beyond simple wipe effects. Initiating flight, regeneration, okay... Time travel...interpretive... Pretty much anyone else with a combat oriented power? They step out of frame and lights start flashing...

Honestly, while I acknowledge Stone-/Granite as the Biggest Kid On The Block, it's downsides REALLY (REALLY REALLY) don't mesh well with the speed of the modern incarnation of the game. In fact, with parties becoming ever tougher, it's possible to just leave the Stoner behind holding their...*AHEM* "stalactite". I find that about as "fun" as full-body exfoliation with a belt sander and 10-grit sandpaper...
-
Ungranite doesn't TOTALLY fix it. You still have some -SPD. But it cuts out more -SPD, -RECH and -DMG. You still have most of your status and KB Protection. So it "spackles over" the worst of the problems
-
You don't see a lot of Stone Tanks PERIOD nowadays. The game has evolved to the point where Stone's glaring problems are no longer outweighed by phenomenal survivability. A similarly equipped Invuln or Shielder can be 99.99% as tough without the massive mobility and combat issues.
-
Have you done your Patron unlock arc? If not, Black Scorpion's is about the shortest. You have to have a patron unlocked to select Mace, Soul, Leviathan and Mu Mastery.
-
Scorpion Shield is an L1 alternate power in Mace Mastery. You don't have to take any powers in front of it.
-
No biggie. I spent most of the series trying not to laugh so loud that I'd wake everyone in the house up. And all the Tank tropes... The one episode with the heal-tanking reminded me of TeamFortress:
-
Buh...WHAT?!?!?!? Electric, Fire, Radiation. THOSE are Resist-centric armors. Super-Reflexes, Ice, Energy Aura Those are Defense-Centric. Dark, Shield, Invuln, Stone. Those are actual hybrid sets. Essentially Invuln, built well, is basically the next-best thing to a Stone Tanker in Granite. Without Stone's downsides...
-
I will generally either take Hurl, or take a ranged power in my Epic pool. You can use Universal Damage to replace some of the E/N/Ranged Defense. With Cross-Punch, slot the three Acc\* pieces from Eradication, then Acc/Dam, Dam/End and Dam/Rech from Cleaving Blow. Leaves you with 3.75% Ranged or 2.81 E/N. It's all in the tradeoffs.
-
It's all good. Don't ever just ACCEPT something you may not understand at face value. Ask questions until you're SURE of the answer.
-
More than one way to skin a cat. <Cat> Yeah...WHAT!?!?!?!?
