The bomb phase is already long enough - almost too long at times. If you are there right at or close to the beginning, you can get all 25 bombs in one run. I have done this many times and as a leader. You do not need a league to do the event. As soon as you enter the zone, start hunting bombs - you can form your team/league as you hunt. Standing around trying to get a league first only wastes time. In open world events like this, only your team kills count. You do not get credit, rewards/drops, inf, or XP from defeats by other teams in your league. You are essentially competing with other teams on your league. You only form a league for easy communications. So, you really only need a TEAM. In fact, the more people in the zone hunting bombs who are NOT on your team are only taking away from your potential kills and badge credit. (But there are enough to go around for a couple teams.) And I've gotten the badge in one go with a team of 4 and had time to spare. Thanks for working to educate newbies on the event and what the paths on vidiotmaps mean. We all need to learn sometime and from somewhere. 🙂 I do like your idea of having a Rikti invasion after an MSR - either open world or instanced version. That would be a nice add. -

I love my Archery/Devices Blaster - TONS 'o fun! I have both Trip Mine and Remote Detonator. AS people say, Trip Mines are are better solo or if you're teamed and you know where an ambush will spawn, they are very useful. Like in the Miss Liberty TF - 1st mish... we know wher the AV will spawn, so while the team is destroying cables, I'll drop about 20 mines where the ambush will be so that after the cut scene - BOOM! The mob is decimated and AV hates me. 😄 He hates me more when I put a remote detonator on him and blow up him or any remaining mobs. 🙂 Take both, slot both, and have fun!

If you're trying to reconcile what you have in game with Badger... Export your character's data to save as backup Go to the Characters main screen and click "Log Parser" and then click "Help" - follow the instructions Then upload the data to Badger - it will replace your previous character data (hence the prior save). It should be updated with your current in-game total, but I've found i need to do this 2 or 3 times to get all the badges to show and reconcile with in-game. Then view your character, click the "Collect" tab, and uncheck "Show collected" and you'll see the badges you're missing. It's a pretty simple and easy process, and an easy way to reconcile your in-game badges to Badger. 🙂

Yes, I understand this. And I realize that it may be something other than Burst as other people seem to not have the same issue I do. And That is also why I hypothesized in my statement above that it could be something with the armor set - which is SR - which doesn't have a taunt / aggro aura and might (?) be the culprit. I have looked into this phenomenon - perhaps not done deep testing as one should but I'd rather just play the game. I have compared Burst to similar AOEs across my scrappers. Same slotting, similar acc / to hit bonuses and buffs, various mob types. I have run this many, many times and I consistently get way less foes with Burst versus other attack sets. So, for me, it is repeatable. And my MA/SR doesn't have this issue and can consistently hit all surrounding foes. So, maybe not the armor. ?? Bad luck ?? - very well could be. I do have frequent bad luck. It is known to me the RNG hates me and this is not just a "saying" or perception - friends and teammates are always surprised by my consistent bad luck with the RNG on drops and things. But even then, I do get occasional good drops. But with Burst, it is very consistent that I get so few mobs in it despite being surrounded by foes. I'm not saying others have this issue. I am only stating my experience, that it is consistent for me, and is one of the factors that contribute to how frustrating KM can be to play - for me. But also despite this, I do like soloing my KM toon from time to time, even with my lackluster Burst. Maybe one day, I'll make a KM scrapper with a different armor and see if there is a difference there. But that's a long ways away as I have other power combos I want to try first.

You would think, but not in my experience. I have no issue hitting 5+mobs with Katana, MA, WM, Spines, etc... but with KM's Burst... never get more than 2. I think once or twice I've gotten 3. I get a lot of 1 or none as well. It's a stark difference whenever I play my KM.

That's awesome and I find it fascinating. I love hearing other people's opinions on these things so thanks for sharing. For me, I hate Stalkers - not enough AOEs. And the placate gimmick is "meh," but I do have a Stalker and quite enjoy playing it. Brutes are "meh" overall because I hate the Fury mechanic. I have several and love each of them, and they are of course useful for higher HPs Res values compared to Scrappers. But I do like and still prefer Scrappers as they are just in your face with lots of crits - simple and easy - lots of AOEs and don't have to worry about keep a Fury bar full for damage output. I also love my Widow - very fun. I suspect I'll like a Bane too - it's next on my list. But I'm still having too much fun with my WM/Invuln Scrapper. 😄

Repulsion Torrent is almost a must as it is one of the faster activating and hitting powers in the set. I keep the KB in it as sometimes SR needs a moment to "breathe" to let incoming damage slow down and/or DefDebuffs to fade. The PBAOE I found to be horrible and rarely hits more than 2 foes as the radius seems too small. I don't get "misses" over heads, it's truly like they are at 8 ft when the power only goes 7 ft radius. I wonder if it's partly because of SR not having a taunt or aggro aura to draw them in tighter. Anyway, I get the same with Siphon Power - rarely do I get its full potential of buffs - it only gives 2-3 stacks for me. So, I hate that power too. lol But yet... The set is still pretty, and still fun to play solo. 🙂 ("Solo" being the key word there because yeah, all other ATs will kill your target before you finish your windup. lol 😄 )

Oranbega portals would send you all over the map and never where you wanted to go until the RNG decided you were allowed access to the hall/area you wanted. The Hollows - you used to actually be able to EASILY find Outcasts and Trolls in Cherry Hills for the hunts and not have to wade through hordes of Lost, Skulls, and Hellions taking up the spawn points. Green Line and Blue Line trams - Had to run across Steel or Skyway to get from one or the other. Founders Falls had no tram and you had to only access it by the Talos gate. The only way to get to the Storm Palace: Ferry from Talos to Peregrine Travel across Peregrine to Center Portal Corps building for portal to Fire Base Zulu Travel across FBZ to to get to the Cascade Archipelago Travel across the Cascades to get tot he Chantry Travel across the Chantry to get to the Storm Palace "What? next mission is now in Atlas Park?" reverse the trip, go to Steel from Talos, cross Steel to the other tram line to go to Atlas. "I gotta go back to the Storm Palace now?!?!" ....ah, good times. 🙂 No vidiotmaps so you could literally spend an entire day trying to find your way out of the Perez Park maze Invasion of Rularuu at the launch of the Shadow Shard zones - nothing like creating a new character, spawning in Atlas Park and immediately get destroyed by a giant floating eye ball. Although, I guess all these aren't what OP was referring to.... so uh, yeah, I hate the new look of CoT too. Graphics quality is great, but the design of the robes is hideous. They really need Serge at the Steel Canyon ICON to help. 😄

My Seismic/Martial Combat Blaster is a dream to play. I didn't proc out anything other than standard set procs that come with the set i'm using. I love Rock Shards and the damage from Stalagmite when Seismic Shockwaves are active - like @Uun described above - too good. Both Seismic and Temporal Manip are good sets and they would play well together. What's underwhelming about it?

Hi and welcome back to the game! /Martial Combat is one of my favs - such a great set. Ki Push has to be the best power ever with watching foes fly away in slow-mo like in an action movie! 😄 But seriously, don't skip it... it's a nice soft "hold" as the foes can't do anything to you for the lengthy duration they are flying, and then they have to run back to you, so it's good damage mitigation. It also does good damage if slotted up. ....Anyway, you didn't ask about that.... All Blaster secondaries now have an endurance "sustain" power that costs no end to use, and you should never ever have any endurance issues again (**In a general sense as there are always exceptions). Most are toggles, but /Dark, /Energy, and /Mental have clicks. Reaction Time is this sustain power for /Martial Combat. With these powers, you generally do not need to slot up Stamina anymore as a Blaster and can just devote a couple slots to your sustain power instead and be done. Most also will have a regen, absorb, or other component that you can slot for if you want. Some slot entirely for that and then still put a few slots in Stamina for whatever set bonuses. Typically, I will slot: 3 Performance Shifters in Reaction Time: EM, EM/Acc, EM/Rech 1 Performance Shifter +End proc in Stamina only 1 Panacea +End/+Heal in Health (or a Numina's +End/+Regen if that is handy, but Panacea is better between the two) ...and that gives me more endurance than I need or can use. If I have extra slots, I might add 3 more slots to sustain power for whatever other buff it may provide (in this case, Reaction Time for the absorb). Hope this helps! Edit: Just realized i forgot to answer about deactivating RT for the recharge and movement buff... I've never done it. The buff is "meh" and I don't need the movement speed. I need my endless endurance more! And really, it's a hassle to turn it on and off.

I love Combat Teleport and the ToHit Buff it provides. But if your build is tight and you don't want Teleport as your travel power, Speed of Sound with free power Jaunt can be handy. As far as Experimentation Pool.... Toxic Dart is fast activating and is on par / does more damage than a lot of T1 attacks - so it can be a nice add. Adrenal Booster is a nice "Power Build Up" power that boosts ToHit, Damage, secondary effects and also recharge!! The other powers in the set = blah. You're fine with either. It all depends your build. concept, and preferences. -
I love Dark/Dark. had one on live and I made another here on HC. Shadow maul is worth taking, but because you are aware of the animation time, be careful of it. Don't use it when you know things are happening around you and you don't want to be locked int to that time. Take Shadow Punch too. The damage per activation time is still good. Proc'ing ToF - meh. Sure. I guess. i'm not into proc'ing a ton of things into powers and prefer sets. But yes, this seems like a power that could be proc'd well, if you so choose. Your're not gimped without Death Shroud. And turning it on/off for stealthing is not an issue. No binds or macros needed. It's a great power. But if you don't want it, don't take it. Chasing +Def is certainly a good idea. The strongest builds have a mixture of +def and +res. Since Dark armor is Res-based, adding in +def is a good thing.

Ice/fire/fire Blaster was my first toon ever and I just love Ice blast, so it's closest to my heart. /Ice Manipulation was "meh" back on live and I just made a toon with it to try here on HC. I am sure (and hoping) it's better now. Cold is a wonderful set too, although I prefer it on a Defender. I haven't tried ice melee yet - it's on my to do list. But I also have to give a shoutout to Ice Control. The recent changes with a fear component to the cone and damage added to Ice slick really help. And the Artic Fog confuse is just great as well. My Ice/Cold Controller is one of my favorites. On live I had a Ice/Ice Dom that I enjoyed - I may have to remake that too. So, in answer to the OP - "it depends on what you want to do." I think all ATs do Ice really well. You can't go wrong with any Ice set whether you're ranged, melee, damage, support, or control.

Most certainly Blasters can solo. Blasters are my preferred and favorite AT and mostly play solo except for TFs/SFs/Trials, and even some of those, I solo. Of course, lower-level blasters will have a harder time with soloing +4x8 as you don't have all your powers, slots, or IO sets to help out - even decreased size of inspiration tray impacts your survivability early on. But soloing can be done. At level 50, I solo all my Blasters at +4x8 through the incarnate and regular content that I haven't completed yet. My namesake, an Ice/Fire/Fire Blaster I even farm with at +4x8. Taking and using those CC and utility powers in your secondary, kiting, prioritizing target selection, using inspirations, using IO set bonuses, layering pool and epic powers, maneuvering and positioning yourself - all play a part in your survivability. 🙂

Besides the above old TFs/SFs/trials that USED to be started there, this was - and still is - a way to get the the tip missions that give out badges. Sometimes, people just have bad luck or have no sacrificed enough to the RNG gods to get the badge tip missions to drop. Now, you pay one reward merit and boom - badge mish. 🙂 -

I love the Galaxy City tutorial. And I like the voiceover too - no issue with it. I much prefer this over the Outbreak tutorial, although I will give Outbreak this... it goes more in depth with explaining things, which can be good for very new players - provided they have the patience to read and learn. I'm surprised I haven't commented on this thread yet. lol Despite the suckiness of Kin Melee... I do enjoy playing my KM/SR Scrapper (more so solo). I also enjoy her MA/SR sister and the classic Claws/Regen. But my absolute favs so far are Katana/Dark and War Mace/Invuln. Both are beasts and survive practically anything. SO much fun play.

Higher regen rates are dependent on higher max HPs - the more Max HP you have, the more you regen. So, a brute who has inherently (and significantly) more HPs than a Sentinel, will regen better. So, not sure a Sentinel is what you really want to do here. Additionally, Sentinels have a shorter range than blasters, so they could still out damage and kill you if they can stay at their max range and beyond yours.

Any of the main hero TFs: Posi 1&2, Synapse, Yin, Numina, however Manti might be trickier. Could easily do a Dr Q in 1.5 - 1.75 hrs. Or a Justine Augustine in 30-45 mins. No AVs in those. JA is a bunch of hunts and fighting CoT in a few door mishes.
