  1. Well, have you ever actually checked if you were sent to the exact same door in Steel Canyon every time? I mean, several of the doors are under buildings with signage outside, so if it's just a random valid door that you're sent to, then it is inevitable that someone will get one that correlates to a store...
  2. I could see this - since Skyraiders have teleportation tech, a regular soldier would call for assistance/aid, (low chance), and you see the teleportation effect, which replaces their model with the upgraded, boss-tier power armor unit...
  3. Y'know what would be a funny boss - a seemingly regular Skyraider engineer, who summons an "Assault Force Field Generator", which is a boss-tier enemy, possessing some powerful beam attacks, (maybe use an IDF Battle Orb model or something similar).
  4. I agree that it was filler, but I did like that Tek (Tech?) got a day in the limelight. I do wish it was a bit better developed, though...
  5. Maybe try the free "instant-50 PvP character" option to try different power picks, then fighting some NPC enemies in those zones, to see what types of build work well with your preferred playstyle, before using up any respecs on your actual character. You can then try all sorts of weird or "out-there" builds to see what's effective and what's not...
  6. There are vanishingly few tradeoffs one must make in this game, with regard to the decisions you make about your character - I am against further diluting the weight of such decisions...
  7. Gotcha. What's weird, is the Homecoming WiKi says: Radiation Therapy 8 16 PBAoE, Minor DMG(Energy), Minor DoT(Toxic), Foe -Regen, Self +HP, +End, Res(-Regen) (except Tanker) Either way, since that is the case, then, yes, regen should get -regen resistance in spades...
  8. Dumb question - is there such a thing a -regen resistance?
  9. Or maybe some flavor of Sky Raider power armor unit, or perhaps even a cyborg using some jump bot components...
  10. Can you please clarify what you mean by this - IIRC, scrappers don't get taunts in any of their aura powers, regardless of which powerset you're talking about, whereas tankers & brutes do get that effect, so it shouldn't make a difference in that respect, (again if I'm correct about the taunt missing from scrapper aura powers).
  11. I have pyronic on a few characters. I actually appreciate its no-nonsense fast activation time and straightforward effect. Ionic may look epic and iconic, but sometimes pragmatic beats out cool...
  12. I'd also attribute a fair part of them not being as common to them being a "jack of all trades, master of none", as well as forcing a specific appearance on you if you go w/ nova & dwarf, thereby eliminating any uniqueness you may have had otherwise.
  13. I think the trick would be to leverage water's knocks to give you an opening to apply, (and keep applying), poison's debuffs. It might also be advantageous to get spring attack so you have a convenient way of getting in close and further knocking down said enemies, or perhaps fold space to tightly groups them to maximize the debuffs.
  14. Maybe consider sonic resonance - mainly for sonic dispersion, so you get extra damage resistance and status protection, (which also benefits your thugs and team). You can take the ally-only shields if you want, and you'll get plenty of -res to up everyone's damage. I also rather like pain domination, as you get a click PBAoE +tohit, +dmg, +dmg res, a PBAoE -res, -def, a PBAoE heal, and a PBAoE HoT. Painbringer and anguishing cry are just icing on the cake as well...
  15. Since torso/arms & wasit/legs textures are tintable, that means that those color values are "injected" into their application, no? If so, maybe an easier approach would be to allow users to insert a different set of colors before the mirroring occurs, so you don't have to mess with the mirroring, but can still get some degree of asymmetry...
  16. Does the code base for the game work like that, though? Can you just toggle a bunch of different things on and off, or is the code whatever version was leaked and that's all we have?
  17. I almost always take a flight power on my characters, but since seismic has a lot of powers that only work while on/near the ground, I've had to break some old habits, so just keep that in mind...
  18. Just as an update, I've been leveling up my seismic/storm corruptor. Slotted a KB->KD IO in gust, and it's a real game-changer. I'm working on getting another for meteor. I'm going to work towards getting those extra +rech from the ATOs, and am planning to get 5 +def powers to put LotG's. I haven't gotten to try lightning storm yet, but am eagerly anticipating it. Thanks all!
  19. This could cause issues, especially if the creator snuck in something lewd or offensive, or otherwise tried to claim some sort of copyright/ownership later on.
  20. I think I have the strategy guide stashed away somewhere - even at launch, it was hilariously useless. There was some nice fluff in there, though...
  21. Huh? It should be fun from the get-go. Are you *not* in favor of taking breaks? I'm confused by your thinking, here...
  22. They aren't "Epic" because of their power level - they are "Epic" in the story sense, in that they tie more closely into the goings-on of the storyline than the more generic/general ATs...
  23. I think @Shocktacular has the right idea to go with a Sentinel. If you want to stick with your theme, go with a dark blast/radiation armor one. Many of radiation armor's powers mimic the radiation emissions support set, (though mainly focused on buffing you). If you do go this route, one piece of advice I would make is to *at least* slot particle shielding with 3 recharge enhancements - it provides a good protective barrier, but most importantly, a significant buff to your endurance recovery, so you can keep fighting with reckless abandon! You'll also be quite tough.
  24. Breaks are extremely important, lest the game start feeling more like work...
  25. With regard to it being a blast set, what I was more thinking was that it would be more of an animation than a "real teleport" - your character vanishes during the attack animation, and a copy of you appears next to the enemy to deliver the attack. Perhaps this set's special ability would be a very brief period of intangibility during the attack animation, (imagine your character model doesn't move, but becomes completely invisible/untouchable as the animation plays out)...
