  1. I could be misremembering, but I vaguely recall it was that way because the enemy-created pseudopets don't track their caster/owner like player ones do - they're just separate entities that happened to have been created by another NPC using a power. If that is the case, then a simpler adjustment would be to give them a relatively short timer, after which they simply despawn.
  2. So if you've ever made a character with the crab spider backpack then go and use a flight power, you may notice that the legs kind of aim downward and kind of do this repeating flailing or flicking animation. If, however, you press spacebar/jump while continuing to move forward, they kind of angle to be more in line with the direction you are moving and take on a more aggressive and static pose. I'd love to have that second positioning of the arms be a selectable fly pose. Thanks for reading!
  3. The issue, also, is that stats like "damage dealt" don't take into consideration, for instance, how much more damage everyone did because of a damage buff or resistance debuff, so only the damage dealer would get credit. There's also no real way to track how player A's defense buff or healing prevented player B from being defeated, thereby allowing them to keep on fighting. How would you track a tanker or brute's taunt saving the squishies from defeat? There's too many factors for "damage dealt' or "healing performed" to be meaningful in any objective sense. I mean, heck, imagine a team intentionally leaving an enemy healer alive just so they can up their total damage dealt rating...
  4. Yeah - but he's redundant and in a very lightly visited section. Move him to a place of prominence...
  5. It'd be cool to do some sort of monthly competition to gain that temporary honor - perhaps alternating between costume contests, bio contests, AE, SG bases, and so on...
  6. I'm not necessarily against the idea, (maybe BABs?), but different zones also represent a different time in your character's career, so Ms. Liberty isn't in 2 places at the same time inasmuch as she's moved around just as you have...
  7. The problem I have with the way that Kraven is depicted in the trailer is that, being an antihero/ villain, he is guaranteed to run into multiple "why don't you just kill him" scenarios; For heroes, it's understandable why they don't just slit some bad guy's throat right away, but if he leaves even 1 opponent alive, without really really good reason, I'd have to throw my hands up and balk at any further situations he runs up against due to those (in)actions...
  8. *If* you use kick in your normal attack rotation, then have at it! If it sits on your bar mostly unused, then give it a pass...
  9. Turn them off in combat. Outside of combat, (unless you're running a ton of toggles), natural recovery will exceed the cost of running ninja run and the like...
  10. You use the phrase "have to", but the only thing compelling you to take weave "after hundreds" is yourself. Try branching out your builds. I assure you, weave is *not* required...
  11. Didn't they give Mikey a grappling hook in England, when they outlawed "Ninjas" and made them "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles"?
  12. To expand upon this, there are sets in those other ATs, such as force field or sonic resonance, which allow you to beef up your own durability, but at the *expense* of other buffs or debuffs. That's what I love about CoH - you have sets that stick closer to the "classic" view of the archetypes and ones that deviate. You want to fill those gaps in your defenses, on an AT that has many? It's gonna cost you...
  13. Show me where I have misrepresented your stance, provide specific examples or retract your statement. You are using "build diversity" as a smokescreen for "I want weave without having to make an investment in the fighting pool". You don't like boxing or kick, I get it - then don't take weave. Weigh the costs - either weave *is* worth that extra power pick or it isn't. If it isn't, then what are you arguing for? If it is, then we're done now...
  14. You have things reversed - YOU are the one advocating for a change, and I am not convinced said change should be implemented. Spouting "but muh build diversity" is not a valid reason - don't take weave, you have plenty of other choices. Why not allow me blaster level damage and tanker level defenses all on 1 character? It'd increase build diversity. You haven't convinced me...
  15. Unfortunately, "fun" cannot be the end-all, be-all of game balance. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but having to plan your build and pick your limited selection of powers wisely *is* fun to some people. Why not just give everyone every power at level 1? Have you played Champions Online and their freeform system? I bought a lifetime sub for that game back in '09, and it was a bad decision looking back on it. I can make the more OP tankmage there, and it is no fun - it's just boring. I want every power pick to matter, and I want to know that investing in going down the path of a power pool is a worthwhile endeavor. Simply freeing up a power pick and getting what you want "now" doesn't actually make it more fun - it'll only make you want the next power with some prerequisite to be selectable without it...
  16. It lessens the investment one must take to get weave. That, by definition, reduces the opportunity cost to take weave. On top of all that, since the meta is to take defense-granting powers in which to slot LotGs, that'd be even easier to achieve. I have another idea - allow taking weave at 4, but doing so eliminates one of your power picks.
  17. I've said it before and I'll say it again: There are precious few aspects left in the game where making a good or bad decision has lasting consequences, and build choice is one of them. Allowing powers like weave to be taken with no opportunity cost only serves to further diminish build choice...
  18. I have no doubt that the entire UI can be clunky/counterintuitive. I wonder if a simpler ability to allow a league or team leader to "ping" the chat, with a fairly obvious audio and visual indicator which leads the viewer's eyes to said chat area, would be more helpful, then...
  19. With IOs, defense is thrown around way too liberally...
  20. I wonder if you'll have to worry about being in your base, in plain clothes, get attacked, then have to rush to don your spacesuit before said base depressurizes...
  21. I'd be awesome if the devs could "hijack" whatever magic permits pets to follow their master, with upgrades intact, while zoning...
  22. That's not a bad idea, but still wouldn't get the person to check the *specific* chat that the league leader needed them to be looking at...
  23. I wonder how difficult it would be to create some system where a league leader can put a request for people to acknowledge something in chat, and if they don't, then that person gets kicked. It would have to be visible to all to avoid selective and hidden bullying from any league leader, but could go a long way to make sure people are attentive and responsive.
  24. Give the fighting pool a generic rock throw ranged attack that deals minor smashing damage, so those of us not wanting to enter melee range have that choice. Otherwise, I am fine with the prerequisite...
