Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse
biostem replied to Techwright's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I like the art style, but can't get passed the non-fluid/jerky animations. It practically gives me a headache... -
Radiation Emission is an "anchor-debuff" set. With that in mind, you may want to create a bind or otherwise be ready to tell your team which target(s) you are using as said anchors, so they know which other enemies to target or where they should be fighting, in order to maximize their effectiveness. As a defender, you receive the greatest benefit from the buff/debuff effects of your powers, which includes the rad blasts. Especially while running higher difficulty content, those -DEF effects can really help your team's attacks to land more often. That being said, since it is very difficult to keep accelerate metabolism permanent, you'll want to make sure you either have some of the unique IOs that grant you extra endurance/recovery and/or make sure to pace yourself so you aren't constantly bottoming out your end bar. That being said, since you get the most benefit out of the leadership powers, maneuvers, tactics, and victory rush can help your team and address your end issues when AM is still recharging...

On top of that, it can take a little bit for a non-optimized tank to gain enough confidence in any support-oriented teammates and their ability to either keep buffs on them or react swiftly enough to keep them standing - after all, a lone tank does not a team make...
-
I don't disagree with your premise, but do the team members talk to each other at all? I'm not pinning it entirely on you, but ask, "who is leading", or "who is going to be up-front". Setting up and getting your team to accept certain expectations can go a long way to smoothing things out, without devolving into a tirade on how to play...

Allow combining SOs like how we can combine Inspirations
biostem replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Your point is moot, as the same could be done w/ inspirations before they were allowed to be combined. My suggestion is about convenience, not about "what can already be done". -
Gotcha, and like how shield already excludes some melee sets, just carry that restriction over for Sentinels.
-
Fight gray-con enemies.
-
I don't doubt that it would require work, but you already have animations, with a shield, for: ice blast energy torrent laser beam eyes, (same as X-Ray beam) fire blast fire ball (dark) torrent dark blast nightfall and the list goes on, (if you take into account all APP and PPP blast powers that melee ATs, who can use a shield, have access to). I'm also fairly certain that many of the non-blast APP/PPP powers share animations with other blast powers not mentioned. Did all those powers have to be created and/or modified in special ways to work with shield defense?
-
No reason they couldn't allow the weapon model, but not the unique color scheme they have. In the case of Valkyrie, all we know is that her spear is of alien origin, not that it was in any way unique. We can already get carnie masks, Blue Shield's shield, Aeon's gloves, so the precedent exists...
-
Valkyrie's spear would also be an awesome option!
-
Just remove the teleport effect, change it into a short range, but wide cone, and change the knockdown into knockback, and you've got yourself an effective "get out of my face" or area denial power that still fits with the theme...

A Warshades powers are not like the gravity control set - they are a mixture of blasts, control abilities, buffs, and debuffs, with the connection to gravity being that some slow enemies. I recommend giving Warshades a look over at the Wiki... It does not. It has new powers, which amount to some of the blast attacks you yourself have access to. It is certainly viable solo or on teams, but the powers generally make use of defeated enemies or ones that are still alive, instead of being wholly self-sufficient like a Peacebringer. I highly recommend either giving them a read-over on the Wiki or act like you were going to create one in-game and click the (i)/info option to see a description of their powers.
-
It would work similar to how dark armor got obscure sustenance instead of dark regeneration or how bio armor got parasitic leech instead of parasitic aura. Heck, those weren't the only changes - compare death shroud and tenebrous regeneration or genetic contamination vs genomic evolution. My guess is it would be turned into a click power with a larger radius, (or a cone), but a lower target cap, or an auto power with a flat bonus.
-
Well, Unicron was able to use defeated Transformers as raw material to be converted into his minions. Warshades have powers like Dark Extraction which utilizes the body of a defeated foe to create a temporary minion that serves you. Their powers are also themed after negative energy, (read: Dark Energon), and control over gravity, which I think are also thematic. If you didn't want to go human-only, you could also utilize Dark Nova and Black Dwarf as altmodes, (the first being a more ranged-blast-oriented one, and the second being a melee tank form.

Allow combining SOs like how we can combine Inspirations
biostem replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
That's not the point, though; Certain enhancement types drops a lot more often than others, and sometimes you'd rather convert your 100th accuracy into an end mod or really need a defense to fill a gap. My characters tend to not have a huge amount of influence, (they're not poor, either), but some of my 50s use alternate builds with only SOs slotted, and being able to convert all those "common" ones into others I could use, would be preferable. Sure, I could sell them, then buy the other ones, then rank them up, but I'm looking for a slightly more eloquent solution. It isn't about slotting them in battle or where you can or cannot buy them from... -
Allow combining SOs like how we can combine Inspirations
biostem replied to biostem's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Well, maybe same level and type, then. I can't imagine how combining could allow differing levels, unless the resulting enhancement was of the lowest of the bunch. -
Maybe a grav/rad or grav/energy dominator. Could also go with a human-only warshade - kind of fits the theme of using defeated bodies as "raw material".
-
Maybe it simply added a Cryptic and E3 logo to any screenshots taken...
-
Tried that, to no significant effect. Still, I agree with your sentiment about the storm beta thread.
-
Well, it doesn't have to be super tied to the meta, but for instance, making it really really obvious where the borders are of your storm cell and which enemies are impacted, was asked for again and again.
-
And any other AT won;t have access to their AoEs, depending upon what level they are exemplared/malefactored down to. Sure, pets have lower base damage, but you also get up to 6 of them, they cost you no end once summoned & upgraded, and although it can be a bit cumbersome, they can be resummoned quite often. Do you drink critically? 😉
-
I thought that used the Sky Raiders model.
-
I wholeheartedly agree, but at the same time, an important question to consider is to what extent should powersets fall in line with the game's meta, where teams move quickly from group to group, and sets that require extensive setup ahead of time, underperform as a result. I don't want to see all sets made homogenous, but I at least want to see things like setup time given a little more attention.
-
I agree that the beast mastery could use some love, but at the same time, and unlike a player, those powers can be used by each of your 3 wolves, 2 lionesses, and dire wolf, so you basically have 6 AoEs, and that doesn't include call ravens, giving you a grand total of 7 AoEs, (plus any from your APP/PPP or other pools)...
