  1. I would give infiltration a toggle power that, when activated, increases the level of stealth it provides, but debuffs your movement speed a little - basically it'd be like an "extra-cautious sneaking mode"...
  2. Way to move the goal post. We're talking about people, here, not abstract concepts. Refer to numbers or formulae in absolute terms if you wish, but in terms of people, I wouldn't be so rigid in your thinking or classification...
  3. Some of the Ink Men (minions?) can siphon speed and/or power from you - very frustrating if there's several in a group, especially at lower to mid levels and if you don't have any resistance to speed debuffs...
  4. I wouldn't speak in such absolute terms - people can most definitely be right or wrong, in certain circumstances and on particular topics. The notion that just because something is an opinion doesn't render it exempt from this. A better adage would be that "Nobody is always right", though people can always be wrong, (though even that is pretty rare, and such people tend to not live long).
  5. If I can email an item from one character to another, is that ok? If I can compose multiple emails with attachments for my alts to use, is that also ok? What we're asking for here is a way to cut out a few steps and streamline the process - it'd still require the materials and inf, it just wouldn't require the multiple emails...
  6. I don't recall this, but it could be interesting. Are you noticing this in a particular level range or against any specific enemy group? Early on, I recall some Hellions pulling out revolvers, but it was always the LTs and their shotguns that annoyed me, (because of KD/KB)...
  7. The option for "No Incarnates" is not already there, so it would, in fact, be something new they'd have to implement. Unslotting your incarnates, which is free, (as is re-slotting them), requires nothing new be added.
  8. Then maybe there's more to your suggestion that should be examined... Except no new tech is needed to unslot your incarnate powers for free. This contradicts your first statement. The option to play content w/ incarnates unslotted is free and already there. Maybe people don't want to give up the added power/abilities they grant...
  9. Why can't you just unslot any abilities you don't want to use, and play with like-minded people?
  10. Agreed. That's not my experience. Usually it's the posts that have a very vague title and/or little to no explanation of what they want, then an inability or refusal to explain their position or reasoning. Posts that want to force a particular playstyle or such playstyle limitations on others also fall into this category - some negative responses are in fact justified. I think this is a mischaracterization of most posts; I'd argue that the majority of suggestion posts, at least, are simply requesting changes to the game that their respective OPs would like see implemented. These don't necessarily address any design flaws or would entail any fixes... What a particular player feel is not indicative of reality. The devs being approachable isn't a bad thing, but if a person feels that entitles said developer team to lend them an ear or pay special attention to their suggestions is entirely on them, not the devs or the community as a whole.
  11. Implementing the suggestion you started this thread with would, in fact, limit people's playstyle, so I'm not sure how you can say that it wouldn't...
  12. I know it wasn't me you were responding to, but I'm curious - do you think that people should *not* be able to place others on ignore, or that moderators should *not* shut down problematic threads? As long as what you're posting is within the ToS/rules of conduct, then post whatever you like. At the same, (and abiding by the same rules), others can respond to those posts however they like. Whether the OP wants to respond/defend their post is completely their choice as well...
  13. The idea of power-leveling is neither unique to CoH, nor was it not present until later on in CoH's run - The idea of rushing to see what's at the end is pretty much a part of life.
  14. I'll try to be as constructive as I can here, but if you are playing your MM with a "passive play style", then you're doing it wrong. You should be actively supporting your henchmen with your secondary and/or filling in between doing that with the direct attacks, if you took any. Heck, before slotting a panacea/miracle/numina's/end redux/etc, my MMs frequently bottom-out their end with all the buffs/debuffs/attacks they fire off while supporting their pets. Maybe it's a difference of mindset, but if you're standing there twiddling your thumbs, then I think you're doing something wrong...
  15. Obviously the Thanksgiving event would consist of a cranberry uprising, (read: Hydra Man O'Wars attacking en masse with red-tinted water blast powers)!
  16. How about special powers for players with very few badges.
  17. Is there a single player campaign, yet? I kinda like the art style/character designs, but didn't play the 1st one because I have zero interest in PvP...
  18. I was debating doing something with necro, as I dislike the T1 zombies. I reckon it'd be a tad easier, since I would take the blasts...
  19. The problem with attaching rewards to badges is that people will go to a wiki, copy-paste the location of them, then go and get them with no further interest in the lore or circumstances surrounding said badge(s). It should be organic and a "cool" thing, but the more reward you attach to such a thing, the more you incentivize people taking the path of least resistance.
  20. I wonder if we could get a variant of the set that nixes the momentum mechanic, but has lower damage. Alternatively, maybe replace build momentum with a toggle - 1 mode allows faster swings with lower damage, while the other has higher damage but requires you to build momentum. One final idea - what if build momentum was a toggle and simply generated X momentum per second/minute, and the powers consumed or built further momentum...
  21. I wonder if a necro MM that just took the blasts could be considered "petless", with the new mechanics...
  22. So sayeth AC/DC: "Some balls are held for charity And some for fancy dress But when they're held for pleasure They're the balls that I like best"
  23. I'd be surprised if there wasn't *some* combination of powers that wasn't tried yet...
  24. Well, something like fire/bio could work, with the offensive/defensive/efficient representing different forms, along with different coloration for the fire blasts and different combat auras, (though I'd stick to the minimal FX options for the bio armor powers).
  25. Then you need to take more... or less... I can never remember which...
