I rolled up a new necro/elec MM to try them, and they are very nice. I can even bounce the elec buffs off of them, (though they themselves don't benefit from the buffs). I don't know if I'd pair dark blast with the whips. I was kind of thinking combining the psi melee energy blades with the whip attacks for some range would be really cool. If we consider a power pool as having 5 powers, then you basically only need to come up with 1 other power, since you have 4 whip animations to work with, (corruption, lash, crack whip, and hell on earth). You could easily come up with some sort of toggle power - like a fire/negative energy/toxic armor toggle, which would be thematic, (give it tough's values)...

I'd like to see this, but I'd rename it "Executioner's Axe". I mean, if Bane Spiders can be stealth with Arachnos maces, why can't someone even more specialized at stealth do so with an axe...

Kheldian idea to help with enhancement slot drought
biostem replied to Emerald Orchid's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The issue is that you get a bunch of powers for free by picking the forms. The only way I could see this working is if the form itself was a power, and you had to pick the attacks individually - so for instance, taking nova would grant the form with its inherent flight, end recovery bonus, tohit bonus, and damage bonus, but you'd have to pick all the attacks by themselves, which would work in both nova and human form, but only benefit from the extra bonuses while in nova form. -
You may be better off posting this in the tech support/help section, but here's a few thoughts: 1. If you have more than 1 hard drive or partition, try installing the game there and see if it makes a difference, (it's a pretty small game, relatively speaking, so shouldn't take too long) - use a separate instance of the Homecoming launcher to do this. 2. If you have an antivirus or firewall installed, temporarily disable it while playing. 3. Close all other running programs. 4. Try the "run in safe mode" or -usetexenvcombine launch options to see if it makes any difference. Hope some of the above helps...

I like some of your suggestions, but I think they may be a little too lofty. For instance, are there any bear models in the game? Maybe spend some time on MM pet customization, and those shadow hounds and spirit panthers could be added as alternate options for beasts. Regarding the upgrade options, perhaps a simpler solution would be to add a special "combined upgrade" power, which becomes available once you have take the other 2, which applies all the upgrades to all your pets in one fell swoop. I don't know where you'd fit the MM armors you suggested. I wonder if bodyguard mode could be given additional special bonuses based upon your primary, or maybe they could be added as additional APPs...

Oh nice! Mercs MMs got a buff! And it's Halloween too!

Too bad you can't have one of your MM minions knock on the door, so they take the initial aggro... -

Watch what happens once you train up to level 25... -
Folks would then just be PL-ing for shards/threads/inf/merits. The only real outcome of allowing instant-50s would be people becoming bored faster. The effort required to reach max level, even if it is minimal, serves to attach one to that character, even if just marginally...

I rarely take it. It's a "nice to have", and can be a good fall-back if "ish hits the fan", but I think a lot of consideration needs to be placed upon whether arcane bolt or spirit ward, as prerequisites, are worth using a power pick on. That, frankly, is more of a concern for me than whether it's a good power or not, (I do think it is a great power, for the record).

A lot really depends upon what kind of character you are playing - if you have defense powers in your primary or secondary, then you're already set. If not, hover, evasive maneuvers, maneuvers, vengeance, combat jumping, weave, stealth, grant invisibility, and infiltration are great options, (not to mention if you have access to an APP or PPP that have additional forms of +DEF)...

I like the idea of a "only my pets" option for the group travel powers. That being said, we need a way to control just how closely those pets follow the MM - we almost need a "maintain formation" type of setup, where they track much closer and more rigidly...

You can have up to 5 of the same "buff", unless it explicitly says it is unique and you can only have 1 of them, and you'll need to slot them into different powers.

Incorporate a warning like they have for selling salvage for recipes you own, and you should be good to go...

You have to accept that seasonal events are going to pull people away from the regular stuff. Next, you have to understand that people are going to take the path of least resistance. Third, you have to be able to step outside of your own experiences/perceptions and try to be objective about things - it is just as likely, maybe even more likely, that the lowbie currently being PL'd by ToT-ing could turn out to be an excellent teammate once the event is over and things are back to normal, than they be some blubbering "noob" who knows nothing about how to play their character. Finally, any step you take to try and tweak the AFK timer for 'special circumstances" or otherwise empower people to remove others from teams, (instead of trying to persuade people to be more active), only serves to sour the game to them. For instance, a better "anti-AFK" approach may be to implement a system where you must cycle between the use of 3 powers within a 20 second period of time, in a fashion that does not exhibit the kind of precise power activation timer one would expect from a bot/script, in order to get the 5x XP from the event EBs or something. Even then, is the kind of work it would take to implement such a system the best use of developer resources? You could always try to create your own league and enforce the rules as you see fit, just to see how well it goes over...

Wait... does the existence of Pocket D at all invalidate any of what I said?

I wouldn't be surprised if things in the tailor window *are* organized, only by part ID or something, instead of their names, and that said listing order was hard-coded into how said parts were displayed...

The damage buff was moved out of domination mode, and their power damage was adjusted, (see here).

Leagues Need a System to Replace a League Leader
biostem replied to Darkaiser's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I wonder if you could give the league leader the option to designate "league deputies", up to 1 per team, who could perform the same duties as them, (save for affecting the league leader themselves). -
Leagues Need a System to Replace a League Leader
biostem replied to Darkaiser's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
On a related note, league leaders need to be able to reassign individual team leads as well. As for the league leader themselves behaving badly, I don't think any sort of reassignment or voting option by other league members would go over well. If they go AFK for extended periods of time or are otherwise unattentive, then just leave... -
New power idea Celestial blast or light blast
biostem replied to KingCeddd03's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
In Champions Online, they have a celestial set - the schtick there is that you can target allies to heal them, or enemies to deal damage. That would be an interesting mechanic, but may make tab-targeting difficult. Perhaps have a toggle that switches you from attack mode to healing mode, with some sort of effect that causes the target to receive reduced benefit from the heals if used too much in a short period of time, so bona fide healing sets aren't left out in the cold... -
Is it because war mace is smashing & stuns, whereas axe is lethal & knockups? I mean, the animations seems almost 1-for-1, otherwise, (not counting the upcoming changes).
-
More weapon options - all for it. Reworking the entire set - I don't think it's needed.
