Can you please clarify - Do you think henchpet customization WILL cause a significant increase in "problematic content" or not? If not, then why stress over it. If yes, then it'd fall under the same criteria of inappropriate costumes/names/behavior as regular player character costumes/names/behavior, which is already in the rules. So then, again, there's no need to take special steps to limit the creativity of legitimate players by not implementing the feature. As far as I can tell, City of Heroes was given a T-Teen rating, meaning that "they can contain content such as moderate amounts of violence (including small amounts of blood), mild to moderate use of language or suggestive themes, sexual content, and crude humor". Therefore, if you are unable or unwilling to experience that kind of content, then you should not be playing CoH full stop. I'm not saying that one should have to contend with content beyond those descriptors, but anything within those limits is fair game. I absolutely understand that people may have experiences that cause exposure to such content to be uncomfortable or downright intolerable, and as such, either limit your play or make sure to confine your play to areas that minimize such exposure. Asking others to tailor their play or creativity to suit you is unwarranted, (again as long as those people stick within the aforementioned guidelines and aren't going out of their way to specifically target and/or harass you).

Yes, and with not too much work, you can set it to use a different body type, summon the illusions, then switch back to whatever other costume/body type you want...

And people can make racist, sexist, etc comments in zone or any of the other chat channels, yet we don't have a major issue with that now. That is much easier to do, and yet we aren't facing some epidemic. If we don't have to worry about someone making a female character abusing her male pets, (or a homosexual male doing the same thing), then any other such hypothesis about being able to make female pets is mere conjecture with no evidentiary backing...

I guess you missed the part where I said: " Anything that would get you in trouble for doing with a player costume would/should carry over to things you might do with your summoned pets, so I don't see an issue here... "

I don't. Anything that would get you in trouble for doing with a player costume would/should carry over to things you might do with your summoned pets, so I don't see an issue here...

If you could make crazy costume requests...

There's a front-facing and backward-turned ballcap already in-game, unless you mean with various logos on them or something else... -
Makes me wonder how shield defense would work on Sentinels, if they left the animations as-is...

Share Mission Maps You Want Added Here!
biostem replied to Sakura Tenshi's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
It was just very disorienting, and it was easy, (at least for me), to get disoriented. A lot of the scenery was the same, and there wasn't quite as obvious of an up & down. *shrugs* Either way, I'm certainly down for more map types/more variety... -

I was thinking about how the underwater area is treated in Champions Online, where every travel power is basically translated into some version of "fly". I'm sure some people like it, but I just dislike that my superspeedster or acrobat is forced out of their travel power and the confusing 3-D map layout, since there's basically no gravity in the way its implemented. Perhaps if things here were implemented better, then it'd be a superior experience. -
Here are two sites I often use if I'm stuck for a name. Cheers!

I'm not a fan of changing how everyone's travel powers work. Maybe an underwater base, with clear tubes/windows/portholes so you can see the ocean outside or something, could work. -
Here's my attempt. I tried to emulate the original Seer's uniform, only altered/damaged as a result of being partially taken over/fused with The Hamidon. The second version is with the backpack/neck ring. Hope you like it! hamidon seer 2.costume hamidon seer.costume

The best defense is a good offense; Roll up an archery/tactical arrow blaster and never look back!

I shall give this a try. Thanks!

It's almost a little sad if and when you get to that last power pick. Heck, sometime's it just bums me out when I've pretty much gotten and slotted every power I care about, on some characters...

So I frequently play on a laptop with a smaller screen, (11.6"), so I use a string that I bind to a key, to shrink many of the commonly used windows down to about 80% of normal. I'll then use the /window_resetall to put them back to normal for when I'm on my main PC, (also bound to a key). Is there a command that will let me change *all* windows to 80%, instead of having to save a very long string to affect each one independently? Thanks in advance!

The question is whether the current menu system permits transparent backgrounds; I cannot recall any of said menus having such a feature...

Suggested New Epic AT: Transformation Master
biostem replied to RedwoodElf's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I kind of feel like the "quickest" way to handle this AT would be to give it, say 4 mutually exclusive toggles, (or maybe your base form + 3 toggles), and have different effects baked into each power, based upon which toggle you have running. So if you had a melee toggle, a ranged toggle, a control toggle, and a support toggle, then each power would do something different, (again tied to which toggle you had one). Costume change binds could then complete the effect. -
Well, bio armor is really nice for the offensive buffs it gives you. I also really like claws for follow up and the fast recharging, quick attacks. The ranged attacks are also a nice plus. In general, though, claws suffers a bit from being lethal damage and having fairly low damage numbers, (but as mentioned earlier, bio armor can help mitigate that).

What Is The Most Resource Efficient Way To Get KB Protection?
biostem replied to EonRecoil's topic in General Discussion
Aren't there -kb IOs that can be slotted into sprint? It's only -4 mag protection, but that's still pretty good... -
A crazy idea that I'm not actually suggesting, but...
biostem replied to Wavicle's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Well, what does the lore say regarding how Kheldians "work"? Is it possible that they seek hosts who aren't otherwise inclined/empowered to otherwise be heroes? There have been a lot of ideas floating around to allow 1 character to play multiple archetypes, and while I'm all for shapeshifters, such an ability may be too good or otherwise not worthwhile at all... -
Maybe something like this: 1. Hip shot - Basic single pistol attack dealing minor lethal damage. 2. Steadied shot - Stronger single pistol attack, dealing moderate lethal damage and slightly lowering the target's defense. 3. Marksman - Toggle granting a moderate tohit buff, (slightly higher buff than tactics or the same value with a lower end cost, since it'd only affect yourself). 4. Double-tap - Heavy single pistol attack. Additionally, it'd have a narrow cone to reflect its ability to penetrate several targets. It'd also have a good chance of knocking the target down. 5. Hollow-point ammo - a passive/auto power that increases the damage of your pistol attack and grants them a DoT component.

If you could make crazy costume requests...
biostem replied to DR_Mechano's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to have things like guns, wands, staves, gems, or other such objects/props as options for all relevant powers. For instance, maybe I want to take beam rifle, but have it come from a crystal skull, etc. -
Once you hit level 35, you should be prompted to talk to an arbiter in Grandville , who will direct you to choose one of Recluse's lieutenants. This may help...
