Aye. It kind of feels like the AT had a random conditional buff/debuff power shoved down its throat, rather than a genuine class mechanic. What about some sort of simultaneous debuff effect AND HoT effect, which scaled one way or the other, based upon how high/low your health is? The higher your health, the stronger the debuff applied to the enemy & the lower your health, the greater the HoT is that's applied to you...

Welcome to CO's older brother! (Cousin? Father?). I agree that the dance emotes could use some love. There are a few decent ones, but then, I'm not the best judge of dance style... 😤

At least with alpha strikes, part of the problem is how enemies in the same group tend to all recognize you and attack in perfect synchronization; If there was a little variability to simulate differences in reaction time, things may go better...

Here's an idea, (though in practice it may be a little too similar to absorb); What if, for every set interval, you built up a stack of "reactive healing", and should you take damage, those stacks are consumed to provide a burst of healing, (in the form of X HP per stack). Basically, it wouldn't absorb the damage, but quickly heal you back up, using what you've accumulated between battles. It may not be too useful in the thick of a fight, but it'll help with those alpha strikes, (as long as you can survive the initial hit).

I was happily surprised with the performance of my dm/ea brute. I was also pleasantly surprised with how things went with my nature/rad defender. I'm having a hoot with a savage/regen brute that I've been playing, lately...

Can we please please please have a feature added to save/retain the last few colors we've selected, so I no longer have to remember "4th column, 3rd row" or some such for each color I'm using? Also, is there any way to hook auras up to activate only when a travel power is enabled, or something similar? Thanks for all your hard work! -
Well, sure there are; Patterns have to be adjusted to fit to the piece they're being applied to - Just look at how capes, shields, and skirts that accept patterns look slightly different than the torso or pants. Many hair options also have things like a blend or differently colored strands/bangs, instead of basic color/pattern options, so those would have to be totally rebuilt. All this isn't including the drastic differences between the 3D geometries of hair, whereas pretty much all the torsos/pants are the same, and those that differ drastically don't allow said pattern options...

Welcome back, OP! I've been trying to get my GF into CoH, but she's never really played PC games, so it's tough for her to get the whole "WASD" thing down pat. Regardless, glad to have ya!

Your point about the 2 immobs is well taken. Maybe keep the power basically the same, but give it a different status effect that isn't otherwise present in the set, so you can better make use of the "exploit" mechanic...

My suggestion is thus: An archetype that uses blaster manipulation sets as its primary, (sans those that lack attacks), and the secondary would be control sets. This AT would excel at getting enemies right where they want them, then exploiting their weakened state in order to defeat/arrest them. Their inherent ability would be "exploited", and would provide a damage bonus based upon the number of status effects the enemy is suffering, (immobilize, hold, sleep, fear, stun, disorient, etc). I'm not sure just how much of a damage buff they should get from each status effect, but I'm thinking that 2 effects should just about match Controller's containment, while 3 would exceed it. Your thoughts? Thanks for reading!

For some primaries and secondaries, the tweaks to those sets that Sentinels got are rather nice. For me, though, they just don't interest me enough to keep me playing them. I almost wish they'd have gotten the blaster secondaries as their primary, (well, those with actual attacks in them, anyway).

OP, you really need to organize your thoughts better and clearly state what you're after. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter what AT or powerset(s) you play, as long as you're enjoying the ride. Certain sets may in fact perform better than others, but if you can't get into said set(s), then what's the point?

Maybe they could have the big AE portal take on the appearance of a building facade, (with door), or you enter the big portal, are taken to a small instanced outdoor area, then enter the actual mission from there...

I'm not saying yours isn't better - just that even in the real world, you may not be able to actually use the name you want, (in anything other than strictly private purposes, of which CoH is not).

The Bolero top, used with the Imperial shoulders instead of the fur ones, can also convey a nice classy dress, depending upon what you put under it for the chest option...

Well, you have Super Strength, then you have Street Justice. The latter is supposed to be the "low-level" generic punching set. Maybe what we need is a more Westernized take on martial arts - think a generic boxing set.. -
Quick question: I have an HP Elitebook 2170p, which has an i5-3317U and 8GB of RAM, running Windows 10 64-bit. I'm able to run the 64-bit version of the game at an acceptable level, but if I have it running, then window key+L to lock my computer, I get a black screen when I log back in. I do get the login screen and can enter my password just fine - I just get a black screen after that. I can bring up the task manager and end the task to resolve the problem, but I'd rather a better solution. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks in advance!
