All new content is no longer solo friendly?
Glacier Peak replied to arthurh35353's topic in General Discussion
I've gone through every story arc in the game Blue, Red, and Gold side solo. I've soloed every non-incarnate taskforce, strike force, and trial. I've done so at varying difficulties between -1/1 and +4/8. That being said, no, there is no content in this entire game that is not casual or solo friendly which does not require more than one player to start. If something presents a challenge for me, I invite other players to assist me. -
The Experimentation Pool, the Sorcery Pool, the Force of Will Pool powers were all heavily modified from their versions on Live (if they could be considered that by being unreleased or in various stages of beta testing). I'm pretty supportive of the way the Homecoming team has developed these Pools. A mix between Travel Pool Power and a useful T4. Edit: Just wanted to add that there has not ever been a Gadgetry or Utility Belt Pool power set on Homecoming. Those unfinished sets are accessible on OuroDev solo servers with dev tools, or perhaps on other CoH servers, but not on Homecoming.

Yes, yes! Indeed - Snarky as you will probably remember Corruptors were initially the villain equivalent of Defenders, but with less direct healing capability (Empathy was proliferated after launch). They had Thermal Radiation at CoV launch and then shield and individual buffs. Corruptors were stylized as a mix between Blaster and Defender, and as you pointed out in the Ice/Cold thread, they don't debuff as well as a Defender or Blast as hard as a Blaster - but they do both really well and their Inherent power provides utility beyond the initial niche situation (think about Scourge activating on AVs and GMs). As more sets have been proliferated between Defenders and Corruptors, the differences became less clear. Sure their Inherent powers are different (Defender Inherent power was not always the same as it is today either!) and so are their base/max attribute values, but play style wise, they have become essentially synonymous with each other. Much like Brutes (and really Mastermind's) filled the Tank role villain side, Dominators were Controllers, and Stalkers were Scrappers, I think they chose to combine the Blaster and Defender feel in to one Archetype villain side, and that was the origin of Corruptors. So noting those differences and similarities, I think the current meta provides both Archetypes with a unique feel.

What would you change or add in a City of Heroes sequel?

Mech! I want a giant robot as a power set! Get in and fight like an [Insert any mecha cartoon or anime series in the last 40 years]! -
Thank you and yeah! 'Persona non grata', she was essentially burned by Arachnos, but due to her father's ties, she knew which Patron could empower her to exact her revenge. I wanted her to be a Fortunata in the Widow faction of Arachnos as a her way of rebelling against the lifestyle of the assassin Blood/Night Widows. And now that she's Level 50, I'm going to take her solo through all the excellent high level red side content. Once she solos the LRSF, I'll get her second build up and running as a Night Widow (@Bopper has some great Widow builds!). So any way, that's why I kept her so long. I finally got over the mid leveling hump thanks to the Halloween events.

I finally got my Widow to 50! I respec'd her in to one of @Bopper's awesome Fortunata builds. Fortunata Non Grata. Character background! Ghost Widow inspired costume! Red Widow homage costume! Dark mystic acolyte costume! Finally at the top of the organization! Now to plot her revenge...

I'm on all but Reunion and Everlasting. Not because of any particular reason, I just haven't made any on those shards. And I'm on the beta shard often too!

@Voltor snagged all the badges with every AT, so that's proof that there isn't one specific AT or build that is easiest. Play what it most fun to you.
-
@Arc-Mage, maybe you're thinking of the AMAs where the devs said what they planned on or wanted to do with the rest of the story after the conclusion of the WWD story arc.

Insecure!

I don't want lag though, that's why I play on Indomitable. Bringing all of the players together on one shard would make it Summer 2019 all over again. Queing to play this game is silly!
-
Do you already have five of those specific set bonuses slotted elsewhere?
-
Dang nabbit I thought that was a shuttle launch platform being built that would take us to the moon base!

While they can't be removed once granted, powersets can be added.

How to mitigate an entire Archetype in PvP - move away from them lol No, but on a serious note Mastermind's could use better lockdown powers. Otherwise going in an out of Bodyguard becomes a liability and doesn't provide the rest of the team with much damage output. Thanks for the repost!

Title is the question - can I use both Leadership: Vengeance and Tactical Training: Vengeance on the same defeated ally? Furthermore, if I cannot do so - can I use one on a defeated ally and another on another defeated ally (so two dead teammates total) and receive the buff from both? I looked at the two powers in City of Data and I can't easily discern whether the tags imply that those two powers can't stack from the same ally target. Tactical Training: Vengeance Leadership: Vengeance Thanks!

I was absolutely obsessed with the animated series as a kid. All the toys, every product on the market - sleeping bag, camping set, costumes, night light, movies, plates and cups, I was singularly focused on Batman as a kid. Conroy's best performance was easily Mask of the Phantasm, along with the legendary performance by Hamill's Joker. Conroy's voice of Batman in that series is how I imagined all heroes sounded until I met ones in real life. Death is a normal part of life, but I will miss him. He will live forever in the pantheon of my heroes.

360,000 damage received per hour is on the low side of other alternatives offered in this thread (2 million damage received per hour for example). The flip side though is that is sounds pretty easy to set up and you get progress towards other badges.

I was power leveling a character I made in some Asteroid farm maps courtesy of @America's Angel and after running through three iterations of the five mission arc (which are great by the way) I realized I ran out of the Double Xp temp power halfway through. I figured I could pick up the temp again and make up for lost time by taking the character and my farmer in to a good old fashioned Portal Corp mission from Unai Kamen. Dreck map, grab the portal type. I leveled from 40 to 46 in the first clear and then 46 to 50 in the second clear. And my farmer made a ton more influence. Long story to say that Portal Corp missions are awesome and remind me of a simpler time. If anyone wants to try some good farming maps, I'd recommend Unai for his Dreck map and Infernal demons. Maybe we'll see some of those silly mission timers removed to so folks can farm Hydra, War Wolves, Chimera ninjas, and more again! I think someone posted a suggestion thread about that actually...

Why not though? I'm happy with greater security and I don't have to give up anything for it. Whoo hoo!
